La grange est extrêmement lumineuse et lumineuse et la belle cuisine / salle à manger ouverte est le cœur de la maison. Décoré avec goût, c'est l'endroit idéal pour revenir après une journée passée à explorer la côte du Norfolk. Préparez votre repas dans la cuisine bien équipée en utilisant les meilleurs produits locaux, avant de vous retirer dans le charmant salon à triple aspect offrant de superbes vues, son feu ouvert et ses confortables canapés. Il y a une belle chambre king-size, une salle de bain et une salle de douche séparée avec une grande douche à l'italienne. Le rez-de-chaussée offre une vue magnifique sur la côte, idéale pour observer les oiseaux. À l'arrière de la propriété, vous trouverez un jardin entièrement clos avec une pelouse et une terrasse avec mobilier de jardin et barbecue afin que vous puissiez profiter d'un dîner «en plein air» ou simplement d'un «coucher de soleil» lors de soirées plus chaudes.

Avec la plage à seulement 10 minutes à pied et le pub et le magasin locaux également accessibles à pied, restez sur place, mais si vous avez envie de sortir, prenez le bus Coasthopper juste devant Salthouse et explorez les nombreux autres villages côtiers. et des plages dans les deux sens. Et pour les passionnés de la faune, assurez-vous de visiter le centre d'accueil du Norfolk Wildlife Trust juste en face du marais Cley.

Vendredi Barn est également disponible pour réserver pour un groupe plus grand pouvant accueillir jusqu'à huit personnes dans trois chambres au premier étage.

Cuisine bien équipée avec plan de travail en granit, plaque à induction intégrée, four à ventilation assistée avec grill, micro-ondes, réfrigérateur / congélateur, lave-vaisselle, cafetière Nespresso et station d'accueil pour iPod.
Salon
Une autre pièce lumineuse avec des fenêtres à triple aspect. Canapés confortables à trois places et à deux places, feu ouvert, téléviseur à écran plat avec chaînes Freeview et Sky et lecteur DVD.

Fridays Barn

Excellently appointed cottage in a beautiful setting. Time to change the towelling - now worn thin and bath towels too small. Driveway with the dip near the road made it difficult to back out. Potential damage to low cars. All in all a lovely place to stay

Comfortable Cottage

Our 1st stay in Friday's Barn & hopefully it won't be our last. It's great that although this beautiful, comfortable, barn sleeps 8 it can be booked & enjoyed by a couple. The location is great, especially if like us you enjoy the scenery of Cley next the Sea & Salthouse for walks, birdwatching, lunches & evening meals.

Convenient location for North Norfolk Coast

We visited in March with wonderful weather. Excellent bird watching and walks - lots to see and do. However, access to the property is difficult due to the steeply sloping drive - suggest always approach from the Sheringham direction. The house is spacious, light and comfortable but we had no television as the Sky Box was broken and there was a very unpleasant smell in the living room, which, despite the house being situated right next door to a sewage pumping station, we concluded that a dead bird in the chimney was the most likely cause. We reported both these to the Norfolk Hideaways and the owner; despite attempts nothing could be done about the television and no one attempted to get the chimney swept whilst we were there. Consequently we stuffed paper up the chimney and bought some air freshener which made a bit of a difference. We must emphasise that we have received compensation for all this.

Fridays Barn

Ideal for birdwatchers. Only drawback is the steepness of the driveway, have stayed at property twice and both times have caught the underneath of the front bumper.

Fantastic cottage with sea views

We absolutely loved this cottage and would definitely stay here again. There was plenty of space and it had a fab kitchen with everything you need. The lounge was really cosy and it was lovely to settle in for the evening after being outside all day. The village was lovely, but quiet which is what we wanted, and the village shop and pub was only a short stroll away. It’s a great location for visiting Cromer, Sheringham, Blakeney and Holkham.

Lucky break!

Lovely cottage in a very good location. Well equipped kitchen, which makes a difference from many other properties we've stayed at over the years. The whole cottage felt light and airy, especially the large kitchen/dining area. A few niggles, which you will get no matter how good the property. Agree with other previous guests - why have the microwave in a top cupboard?? This really needs to be safe and accessible on a worktop. Front door lock could be fiddly, at one point we thought we were locked in! Key safe doesn't work well, took me at least 6 attempts to get it to close properly. And another problem encountered by previous guests, the Sky box control didn't work. We found another handset in a drawer in the kitchen which did work, but needed to have the doors on the tv unit open otherwise the Sky box did not respond. More instructions on which handset to use when would have been useful - tv handset had to be used for volume control, we had problems originally trying to work out how to change channels, as used wrong handset and couldn't find how to get back from scrambled signal. We were very lucky however, as we stayed the week before the lockdown due to coronavirus! We were still able to visit the narrow gauge railway in Wells, and a final pint in the local pub, the Dun Cow, on the day before all pubs and restaurants etc were closed. Good luck to those in the Salthouse Store, delivering to vulnerable people in the area and other local businesses who are helping out in the community to keep it going.

Fridays Barn stay in March

My wife and I have just spent a week in Fridays Barn. We absolutely loved the location as we looked out over the marshes each morning and saw a variety of wild life which for bird watchers was a real treat. The cottage had all the equipment we could have required and I took advantage of the variety of DVDs to catch up on some films that I hadn't seen. It is a great location for exploring the North Norfolk coast for great walks runs, including 3 nearby park runs, whilst coming back to our own really private space. Could really recommend it!!!!

Fridays Barn

Spotlessly clean on arrival. Difficulty in getting key out of key safe on arrival. Housekeeper came to our rescue. TV instructions were non-existent and housekeeper's son came to our rescue. Drive extremely steep and backing on to main coast road. Not very safe. Otherwise no complaints

Wonderfully light and spacious room, tastefully decorated and furnished, solid oak flooring and windows to both front and rear of the property. Large dining table seating eight and a two seater sofa, large Welsh style dresser.
Well equipped kitchen with granite worktop, integrated induction hob, fan assisted oven with grill, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, and iPod docking station.
Sitting room
Another bright room with triple aspect windows. Comfortable three seater and two seater sofas, an open fire, flat screen television with an Amazon Firestick which means guests can access all streaming services (with their own logins).
To the other side of the kitchen is a small corridor leading to

Lovely king-size painted iron bedstead and views out to the sea.
Family bathroom
With a bath, WC, wash basin and heated towel rail.
Shower room
Large walk-in shower with rainfall shower head, WC, wash basin and heated towel rail (recess containing washing machine).

Outside:

A fully enclosed garden with a gate comprising a lovely shade tree, patio with garden furniture and barbecue. Lawned area with rotary dryer.
There is off road parking on the drive to the side of property for two cars.
