This cottage is ‘the industry standard’ for us. The cottage was beautifully finished, wonderfully furnished, and the beds the most comfortable we have had during the last 7 weeks of our travels. David was friendly and very helpful. And there were so many thoughtful extras, like bread, butter, jam, biscuits, tea, coffee and milk, in case we didn’t have the chance to shop, we would have something for breakfast. We can’t recommend Moray’s Cottage enough!!

Very welcoming, cottage was warm, cosy and beautifully prepared. David made sure we had everything we needed and provided really helpful directions, guidance and advice on the local area and amenities. The cottage was extremely well-equipped and there was a lovely welcoming pack, which we really appreciated.

This property was a great experience! It was clean, had sweet little decorative details, and once we realized the photos were of the back of the house, easy to find. A stay in the spring or summer to better enjoy the gardens would be a cherry on top! Also, David was a supremely helpful host!

Attention to detail and beautiful accommodations! We stayed for three nights and would stay here again without hesitation. The host was kind, responsive, and prepared the home with everything we needed and more. Dinner in the garden was our favorite; additionally, everyone in the village with whom we interacted was friendly, as well! I highly recommend staying at Moray’s Cottage!

Lovely stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. David was very helpful both before our stay and on arrival. The cottage was ideal and we chatted with a few local people when out on walks with the dog. It was a very friendly place. Would love to stay again sometime. Lots of things we didn't get a chance to see.

Amazing Stay

Had a great time staying at the cottage. The location is brilliant for exploring the area, with Sterling only 10 minutes away by car. The cottage itself was very well equipped, particularly the kitchen. Lovely garden for sitting out in the evenings. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

The cottage was absolutely lovely and had everything we needed, even milk, bread & jam! Conveniently located to Stirling and lovely drives to surrounding villages. David was so helpful and gave us some great tips...park & ride tram to Edinburgh was so easy! Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic property. The cottage was amazing and absolutely spotless .We could not have asked for more, local pub (three doors away) plus lots of walks nearby.Our host could not have been more helpful.I would definitely recommend this beautiful cottage for long or short stay .

Lovely cottage

Had a great stay. Although we didn’t physically meet the host (our choice as we were meeting family over from the states) he was very welcoming, providing us with a fountain of information on the surrounding area and quick to reply to any queries we had (also supplying us with milk, bread etc which was a lovely touch.Cottage was very clean and tidy. The back garden is beautiful, with a pond full of wildlife our girls loved.Would definitely recommend to anyone wishing to stay at a great place a very short journey from Stirling.

Facilities and fittings were excellent, the garden and its condition were a bonus. Met by the owner on arrival who walked us through the cottage and explained the ‘ set up ‘.

I very much enjoyed my stay. This cottage was so nice to spend time in that I didn't really want to do any exploring, especially as it was raining every day bar one!The place was cleaned to an exceptionally high standard (even the outdoor furniture!) and everything worked perfectly. The kitchen is very thoughtfully and comprehensively kitted out. So is the living room, even has a nice BT speaker for your music. The bedrooms also well kitted out and a very comfortable mattress.The garden is very nice to spend time in, with two covered seating areas and a summerhouse. I loved the sweet-smelling fragrance of the honeysuckle and listening to the beautiful birdsong to accompany my morning coffee. There's also a summerhouse at the bottom of the garden, which I only realised was open on my last day, so I didn't go in. That too was immaculate!The whole place has been so thoughtfully arranged and it's obviously very, very well cared for.Fresh bread, milk and lurpak (among other cupboard staples...the top brands) were the icing on the cake. It's nice that the owner lives in the same village. If I'd had any problems they could have been solved easily. But there were no problems! There's a well-stocked village shop and an hourly bus service to and fro Stirling. I'd 100% stay here again. This place definitely deserves its 10/10 reviews and then some!My thanks to David. A perfect host.

Excellent cottage in central location!

We were able to visit several areas well known and not so well known from this location. The cottage itself was immaculate and so well appointed with anything that you might need. The host meet us at check in and went over everything and answered our questions. He also sent us some very helpful information about local restaurants and sights to see. We hope to be able to visit again!

A unique quaint cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at David’s lovely cottage.we lacked for nothing. David has outfitted the cottage with everything one could need. The location was central to Edinburgh, Stirling & Glasgow. Thanks to David we availed ourselves of the tram & bus to venture to Edinburgh & Glasgow. Would definitely recommend this cottage.
