A week in the Picos

The apartment was very clean,furnished and decorated to a high standard. An excellent restaurant for dinner just a short distance away. A very enjoyable holiday. .

Stunning Location and great host

We loved staying at Olmares, the apartment was very comfortable. The view from the terrace is stunning so breakfast and dinner was extra special. There are lots of local walks with beautiful scenery. However, the best thing about Olmares is Eva the host, her warm welcome and helpful attitude was great and much appreciated. Thank you we hope to be back!

Breathtaking views, clean, comfortable, cozy apartment

Our apartment was extremely comfortable and clean with extraordinary views and amenities! We would highly recommend staying, we never wanted to leave!! The host was very helpful, warm and friendly, and catered to all our needs! We would give a rating of 10+ if possible!!! Thanks for a great stay!

Picos perfection

Olmares apartment was just amazing, better than we had ever hoped for. The position in a Picos hamlet was spectacular, with truly wonderful views from our balcony. We were made very welcome by our hostess and given goodies for our first breakfast, including delicious bread, fruit and local eggs. Facilities were good and nothing was too much trouble for our hostess. We would thoroughly recommend Olmares, it is a very special place and we hope to return.

Ineffable views, supermodel apartment on top of the mountain. Surrounded by nature , quiescent garden and a courtyard. Eva is an angel: she met us with great hospitality , directed to the hiking trails and waited patiently when we were late . Fresh water, bread and eggs were heartwarming upon arrival. Unforgettable . Highly recommend!

Amazing Olmares

We were met by Eva on arrival who was very pleasant and most informative for our whole stay. Our balcony room was ready when we arrived with everything we needed. No oven but I probably wouldn’t have used it anyway. The views from the balcony were amazing. A very relaxing place to sit and watch the birds. A nice bar/restaurant at the bottom of the hill. We could have walked to it but not back …. Highly recommended

Lovely apartment

This is a lovely place. Precioso. When you get back from a good walk, which you can start at the door and progress in several directions, there is a picturesque interior patio to greet you with calm and quiet, there is a fully equipped kitchen in the apartment to provide refreshments, and, above all, there is a view from the large and comfy balcony which is beautiful and changing. The silence wafts up from the valley with the cowbells and the hourly car. The property manager, Jaime, was diligent, friendly, warm and welcoming. He speaks excellent English and the owners did well to recruit him. Thoroughly recommended. And thank you.

Property 18847

We rented Property 18847 in the Picos De Europa Mountains for the first week of May, having found it on a search of your site. The site has a lot to choose from and it made our decision on where to go very difficult. Olmares, up in the mountains, was our final decision and what a good one that turned out to be. Our hosts Richard and Suzanne were absolutely fabulous, such good hosts, always on hand but never in your face, and both a fountain of knowledge. The facilities were amazing, the standard of accommodation far exceeded our expectations. The directions to get there were spot on and the location was great. Sitting on the balcony all day just looking at the mountains around us was the perfect way to unwind. The walks around the area were great, although neither of us are great walkers, it was great fun to explore. The area is quite spectacular and the wild life exciting to watch. We would definately recommend the property to others. Thanks to everyone for helping to make our holiday the best we’ve ever had. Alison and Alex, Kilkenny, Ireland

Rural Beauty

I would recommend this place to people who would like to stay in a typically Spanish rural setting in the beautiful Picos de Europa mountains, with easy access to good walks,stunning scenery and not such a long drive to the beautiful sandy beaches. The property was extremely well maintained and very clean and tidy when we arrived upon which we were warmly greeted by Richard our host (even though we arrived quite late at night). A car is essential to make the most of the attractions in the area and be prepared to do a fair amount of driving however, the spectacular views are worth it!

Landelijk en rustig

Het appartement is zeer rustig gelegen in een gehucht met enkel wat huizen. Een auto is beslist noodzakelijk. Het appartement is compleet ingericht en comfortabel. Fijn is het dat er extra ruimtes zijn die je als huurder kunt gebruiken waaronder de binnenplaats waar schaduw en zon is. Het uitzicht vanaf het balkon is prachtig. We hebben er fijne dagen gehad.
