Pyreneen Vue gite with pool, renovated farmhouse tranquil with amazing views

This property is fully self-contained with open-plan style lounge diner. The French doors allow the light to flow in and also enable you to have wonderful views of the valley and mountains. There is an enclosed wood burning fire - for winter rentals logs are supplied. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms: a double bedroom with ensuite and a spacious twin bedroom and double bedroom plus bathroom.
On the terrace there are table and chairs also on the lawn overlooking the pool and next to the stone built BBQ. The pool has a decking area with loungers and parasols, all areas give great views to enjoy and relax.

If further accommodaton is required by families then we can supply a further 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, please contact owner.



Floc ferme is an old stone farmhouse and barn which has been restored. The gite has retained features from when it was the original barn with lovely beams in the bedrooms and a stone featured fireplace in the lounge. The thickness of the walls means it stays nice and cool during the hot summer months.
There is a spacious garden to sit and enjoy the ever-changing scenery. With a stone built BBQ covered in vines - cook, have a glass of wine and enjoy the uninterrupted views across the valley and towards the Pyrenees. There is plenty of garden space for children to play and enjoy their days.

A great welcome from Sue and Robin. The view just as spectacular as advertised. We're never sure with Vrbo listings whether 'pool'/'private pool' means just for us - this absolutely was. Beautiful walks nearby.

We had a perfect stay, chez Sue & Robin! The view from the property is amazing, the pool is clean and a great size and there are a plethora of beautiful places to visit nearby. Sue and Robin are a lovely couple who made us feel at home and are very knowledgeable about the surrounding area. A very relaxing holiday in a beautiful place! I guarantee we'll be back!

Lovely property in the Ariège

We had an absolutely wonderful time at this lovely property with a stunning view in the Ariège. The hosts, Sue and Robin, were so incredibly nice, helpful, and responsive and made our stay top notch. We had plenty of space for our family of four and the garden and pool were so peaceful and rejuvenating. The area itself is beautiful with so much to do including visiting the beautiful towns of Foix and Mirepoix, and surrounding Pyrenees mountains. We would come back and stay at this property and in this area in a heart beat!

Summer 2023

Beautiful location. Lovely welcome and very flexible hosts, there when we needed anything but discreet. Swimming pool super clean. Kitchen equipment was the basics needed, a few more dishes for serving would have been useful and we didn’t realise there was no washing machine.

Lovely stay at Floc

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Floc. Both my husband and I, the children and the dog were welcomed by Robin & Sue who made us feel very comfortable and were very kind to suggest us some walks around the area. We loved eating outside whilst enjoying the amazing view. The gite itself was well-equipped with enough space for the six of us. The children as well as the dog enjoyed the spacious garden to the fullest! The large pool also offered us some refreshment during the summer heat. There is lots to do in the neighbourhood. We particularly enjoyed the Trad'estiu festival in Foix (very fun to get to know some local dances and music), strolling around the market in Mirepoix, doing lots of walks or swimming in Lac de Montbel. Highly recommend!

Nous avons passé de très belles vacances chez Sue et Robin qui sont des hôtes très accueillants. Petit coin de paradis au calme et avec vue ! Parfait pour se reposer et déconnecter.

Excellent séjour. Nous avons été très bien accueillis, propriétaires très sympathiques. La situation du gite en hauteur est très agréable, très calme et de plus très proche de nombreux sites à visiter.

Wir haben unseren Urlaub in Coussa sehr genossen, der große Pool, der regelmäßig gepflegt wurde, und die tolle Aussicht auf die Pyrenäen von ganz oben auf dem Hügel waren unsere Highlights. Die Gastgeber sind vor Ort und sehr nett und hilfsbereit, unsere Tochter durfte ihre Katzenbabies streicheln. Auf den Liegen am Pool im Schatten war es sehr gemütlich. Wir konnten viele schöne Ausflüge von Coussa aus unternehmen, auch wandern und Rad fahren. Leider war nicht wie angegeben eine Waschmaschine in der Wohnung, aber die Gastgeber haben unsere Wäsche netterweise für uns gewaschen. Das Zimmer mit den zwei Einzelbetten ist ein Durchgangszimmer.

We had a lovely 2 week stay here in July 26. The views over the Pyrenees were stunning and the swimming pool was much appreciated in the heat. The gite was a perfect location to 'get away from it all' in the countryside with my family & dog whilst also being an easy drive to the many sites and attractions the region has to offer. Robin & Sue were great hosts, always approachable and friendly and we also fell in love with their cats!I think this place is a real gem and would recommend it highly.

Bij aankomst bleek het adres zoals in de VBRO app aangegeven was, niet te kloppen, waardoor we de accomodatie in eerste instantie niet konden vinden. Dank zij aardige dorpsbewoners is het toch gelukt. Toen we het eenmaal gevonden hadden werden we hartelijk verwelkomd door de eigenaren! De omgeving en het uitzicht is prachtig, we hebben veel leuke uitstapjes gedaan, mede dank zij de tips die we kregen van de eigenaren. De accomodatie zelf is eenvoudig. De wasmachine is niet aanwezig, maar Sue heeft aangeboden voor ons te wassen, wat erg fijn was. Er is een heerlijke tuin en veel privacy en rust. We hebben genoten van deze vakantie!

Es war eine fantastische Woche knapp außerhalb des ländlichen Coussa. Wir hatten alles, was wir benötigten und wie es im Inserat angegeben ist. Robin und Sue sind zudem sehr herzliche Gastgeber, die sich bei Bedarf um alles kümmern.

Zalig verblijf in de bergen met rust op lokatie maar veel actief vertier in de buurt

Sue en Robin zijn ontzettend gastvrije hosts...die je alle vrijheid geven tijdens je verblijf in een heerlijke gite dat van alle gemakken is voorzien. Na een actieve dag kom je terug in een oase van rust en kan je genieten van het zwembad en het prachtige uitzicht op de Pyreneeën!

Superb Time

Robin and Sue were amazing hosts….very welcoming when we got there and there if we needed them. We stayed for 2 weeks and enjoyed a couple of meals together, putting the world to rights. They were fantastic company but also allowed us the space to enjoy our break as a family The gites were lovely, the location beautiful. Views of the Pyrenees by day and clear sky and stars by night. The pool was lovely and a welcome respite at the end of a warm day I would highly recommend Robin and Sue’s property for a lovely French break

The property was imaculate with the most amazing views

We were made very welcome, and had a memorable week. The property has one of the finest views which makes for wonderfull relaxation. Exclusive use of thr pool and teraces madeb us feel very special. There are many activities in the area. Highly recomendable.

Views amazing! Very relaxing!

Robin & Sue made us all feel very welcome. The setting is amazing. If you are looking for relaxation then coussa is for you. Rural setting with amazing views of the Pyrenees mountains. Lots to see and do, only short drives away. Lakes, mountains, caves, canoeing, walking - the list goes on!

Super locatie met fantastische eigenaren

Deze zomer met ons gezin een geweldige week gehad in de main gite van flox. Een mooie en rustig gelegen vakantiewoning met een uniek uitzicht over de Pyreneen. Het huis was ruim, schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. De eigenaren zijn hartelijk en behulpzaam. Ondanks de rustige ligging is het een prima uitvalsbasis voor het bezoeken van diverse toeristische plekken. Na terugkomst van een uitstapje kun je verkoeling zoeken in het zwembad. Een klein minpuntje is de bereikbaarheid van een bakker, maar een goed alternatief zijn afbakbroodjes. We zijn zeker van plan om hier nog een keer naar toe te gaan.

Fantastic Holiday at Floc Ferme

We have just returned from a wonderful two week holiday at Floc Ferme. We stayed in the Main Gite which was spacious and clean and was well equipped. It was a real ‘home from home’. Our children aged 10 and 7 particularly enjoyed the pool which was very refreshing on hot days and had fantastic views of the Pyrenees The hospitality was second to none. We were made to feel very welcome indeed by Robin and Sue who went out of their way to provide us with their in-depth knowledge of the area which certainly helped us to decide on things to do. They were even kind enough to look after our dog when we went on the cable car and chair lifts at Ax les Thermes. The accommodation is set in a tranquil setting but is in easy reach of local shops and villages, with a variety of lakes with water sports facilities and outdoor pursuits within 20-30 minutes drive. The area has so much to offer for those who enjoy exploring and outdoor pursuits. We feel that in our two week holiday we hardly scratched the surface, however this just gives us a reason to go back again! We particularly enjoyed the local town of Mirepoix on market day, the historic city of Carcassonne and the ski resort of Ax Les Thermes. There are plenty of lakes in the area which offer a variety of water sports. The largest of these, Lac Montbel was our favourite. This is an absolute jewel and we will certainly be returning again. A superb place to stay

Having just spent a week in the main gite I can highly recommend this property. It is very clean and we were more than warm enough in the chill of December. With views to die for and wonderfully welcoming hosts we plan on returning in the future.

Floc Ferme

An excellent place to stay! You can make your holiday whatever you want here. Relax by the pool and enjoy the beautiful views. Or go cycling, walking, canoing, high ropes all nearby if you feel active. There's plenty of sightseeing and places of interest to visit within a short drive. And the hospitality of Robin and Susie makes it perfect. Paul, Anita,Ellie and James.

Un lugar con encanto

Es un lugar fantástico : Combina la posibilidad de actividades diversas como parapente, hípica, etc. para los más movidos... y también tranquilos paseos dentro de un paisaje maravilloso, lleno de sosiego con las montañas del Pirineo al fondo. Excursiones a lugares encantadores como Montségur, o pequeñas joyas arquitectónicas como Camon, Mirelpoix o Foix. Ideal para parejas con hijos pequeños y no tan pequeños ( nuestros hijos estuvieron encantados en la piscina ). La casa reune todas las condiciones de comodidad y confort . Susie y Robin, los propietarios, fueron super amables, atentos, y exquisitamente discretos al tiempo. Muy recomendable.

vacances magnifique!!

we just spent a fantastic week holidays at the Floc Farm. I would highly recommend this place to all the stressed people who want to relax and unwind! Just sit near the swimming pool with a drink watching the Pyrennees Mountains under the hot sunshine and all your problems will be forgotten. The Children will equally love it with the swimming pool. The Gite are very well equiped and very welcoming. There are plenty to do and see in the surrounding region and our hosts Robin and Susie are always here to give us brilliant advice on where to go. And it isn't expensive! So just go and find out what it is like you won't regret it.
