Pretty Seaside cottage, sleeps 4 ( dog friendly )

Oyster Cottage has been lovingly restored into a cosy retreat, located opposite 'The Ship Inn' , at the heart of Sewerby village, and is just yards from the sea.

In just a couple of minutes walk you can be at the steps to Sewerby beach, admiring the beautiful view of Bridlington bay. Our guests love the walks in our area, you are spoilt for choice with plenty of walks towards Bridlington, or along the coast towards Dynes Dyke, South Landing or even Flamborough Head.

The East Yorkshire Coast has many beaches to discover, from huge stretches of sand to coves with caves and rock pools to explore. Sewerby Hall & gardens is also on our doorstep, with the house, zoo and pretty gardens, there's always plenty to see & do. We have included a family pass to Sewerby Hall & Gardens to use during your stay.

It's a lovely cosy cottage - perfect to come home to after a day on the beach or a day out exploring. Upstairs sleeps 4, in a double and twin bedroom, alongside a luxurious shower room. Dogs are welcome too.

Downstairs is a cosy sitting room, complete with woodburning stove. A handmade kitchen is full of appliances to make your holiday hassle free - and features a lovely sociable eating area too..The utility room is equipped with a washer and dryer plus a useful downstairs loo.

Outside is a lovely enclosed garden, perfect if you have dogs. For those days when we're bathed in Yorkshire sunshine there's a table & chairs for outdoor eating & drinking , along with a Bbq . With a sociable fire pit area, perfect for chilly evenings.

Although the cottage doesn't have any parking of its own, there is street parking around Sewerby village or should you eat/drink at The Ship Inn (which is literally across the road) the owners are happy for our guests are able to use their car park, for the duration of your stay.

* Please note we try to keep Fridays as our check -in day, our weeks run from Friday
to Friday, short breaks Mon-Fri or Fri- Mon.

An absolutely stunning little cottage, feels very homey as soon as you walk through the door. The attention to detail is shown throughout the cottage. Very comfortable and everything you need is there to make your stay memorable. Sue was a fantastic host and we will definately visit again. Thank you we had a fantastic stay.

Absolutely beautiful cottage

Perfect location for walks, Sewrby Hall and the local, very dog friendly Ship Inn.Our 2nd visit and tge cottage is cozy with all our needs catered for.The cafe Good Soul about 1mile away serves an amazing home cooked breakfast.

Short break in January. The cottage was lovely and warm on arrival. Everywhere spotless. Lovely decor and furnishings and very well equipped. Great location for coastal walks and the Ship Inn! Would definitely return.

Week away

Just a Fabulous week away with our 2 granddaughters, whom we take away every year for a week. One of the best we have experienced, beautiful cottage in a lovely area just outside Bridlington our girls aged 11 & 7 thoroughly enjoyed every minute. We loved it!

A stunning little haven from busy life. Cliff walks and sea swims from the most beautiful little cottage. The photos don’t do it justice - it is absolutely stunning! We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back.

Now our three children, ( nearly all grown up ) plus Herbie (our golden retriever) all love to come and spend time at the cottage too.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

The cottage really has the BEST location - in just a few hundred yards you can be on a beautiful (dog friendly) beach, plus there's fantastic walks either into Bridlington, or towards Flamborough Head.
Sewerby is a lovely friendly village, we have The Ship Inn across the road, or The Old Forge a few yards down the street - both super places to eat & drink with amazing sea views
You can walk (or in the summer months catch the land train) into Bridlington
Plus there's always something to see & do at Sewerby Hall - literally a stones throw away!

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

One of my favourite features of the cottage is the sea view - just visible from the bedroom windows - I love to watch the boats sailing past!
The back garden is a real sun trap, and we've spend many happy evenings eating & drinking outside in the pretty garden.
In the winter we have a cosy wood burner in the sitting room along with a smart TV so after a chilly beach walk you can get cosy & watch all your Amazon & Netflix favourites.
