This Luxury Family Home on Whitby's West Cliff opposite the Rugby Field where the children can normally play is perfect for your holiday base to explore Whitby unique town and surronding coast and moors, using the quick and easy road access; with so much to do and see a weeks holiday will just leave you hungry to return. A freshly modernized Dorma Bungalow with large open plan family room with fully equipped Kitchen and separate lounge (linked by french doors) with wood burning stove. Only 0.5 miles from the beach, 0.8 miles from house to Whitby Golf Club, Sandsend Rd and 1.3 miles to Whitby tourist info center ( next to steam train station) Also very close to the start of the famous Cinder Track that runs all the way to Filey through Robin Hoods Bay down the amazing coastline. A lovely South facing Dorma Bungalow with a spacious family room with dinning, Sofa and well equipped Kitchen. That's also linked to the separate lounge with double doors where the log burner and triple glazing will keep you all very toastie. Open the double doors that link the two main room downstairs to have a complete open plan area during the day then close them on a night to enjoy some peace by the fire as you plan the next day. With the house kitted out with 4 bathrooms, 3 with power showers we hope you'll find the house is well designed to allow you to get up and go quickly to enjoy the many interesting places in the town, on the moors and down the coast. For older children the Rugby field which side gates are directly opposite is an easy win-win situation and is normally free except for an odd game and Folk week, so bring a ball or two.
The EV charger is free on the private parking, but guests need to bring suitable cable to fit there car.

Lovely 4 break away
A great 4 night stay away. We were 2 families, 7 in total. The house is Close to Whitby just a short walk into the centre. A ten minute walk to the beach where you can head to Sandsend. Robin Hoods Bay was a great visit too on the beach.
The house was very equipped with everything.
We even had a wind breaker and bucket and spade.
Lovely places to eat, The Stables at Cross Butts is 5 min drive away and is in a beautiful setting. Defo recommend the steak! Also White horse and griffin is fab for Sunday lunch and Mountreys for an Italian.

Great family holiday home in Whitby
When we arrived there was plenty of room for parking. The house was immaculately clean. It’s location is great for walking into the town or to the beach. It was nice not to have to drive. Having 3 bathrooms for the six of us was great, and they had good showers. The beds were comfortable with lovely linen and towels. We weren’t sure how having the 2 reception rooms would work out when booking, but it worked perfectly. Our daughters had one room to themselves, and the adults had a child free zone to chill out in. Loved the big American fridge, I never thought I’d have fridge envy! Matthew the owner was brilliant with great communication. Overall a brill holiday home for a fab holiday in Whitby. Thanks Matthew.

Great Holiday
We have a fantastic holiday in Whitby. The house was spotlessly clean on arrival. Overall we were very impressed with the house, in particular the kitchen was very well equipped. My wife and daughter both said they would have appreciated a full length mirror. Throughout our booking Matthew responded quickly to any questions.
The house is in a great location about a 10 minute walk from the nicest part of Whitby beach and about a 15-20 minute walk from the town centre. I would thoroughly recommend this rental.

Hi, I'm Matthew and our family would like to welcome you into our favorite retreat, personally I love chilling here in one of the reception roooms either side of the kitchen as ending a day by the fireplace after a good day walking the coast, or being on the beach and hope you will too. I'm from North Yorkshire and have very many happy memories in Whitby and the surronding area, with so many amazing places nearby like Robin Hood's Bay, Goathland and Runswick Bay. So if this is your first time to visit I hope the weather is kind and you'll have allowed plenty of time to enjoy. Also if you have chance on a warm night with sunset, head to the Chinese restaurant Long King on the West Cliff and get a takeaway and sit on the grassy cliff edge to watch the sun go down. Then hopefully you'll understand why this is our retreat!
Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement
Very quick and easy area to access by car without any traffic lights on the way in or out (unless you travel in via Scarborough,) so for visiting the moors and many places mentioned this works very well. The north cliff and beech below is a short 5 min walk away and allows for a pleasant way to meander towards town center or towards Sandsend instead, especially on a busy weekend when parking can be more of an issue. The Cinder Track that runs down the coast starts a 1km away and provides a peaceful walk or cycle with impressive views with such as the large brige over the esk valley. This cottage is in a friendly local area and the neighbors are often happy to chat. Well planned family space with dual reception roooms either side of the kitchen and interconnecting double doors so the whole downstairs can be kept open plan, or seperated into two areas. Recently refurbished and fully insulated including triple glazing, and solar pannels to the roof so this is an energy efficient home and includes full fiber broadband.

Just off the road that connects both the A169 & A171 to sandend and the A174 up the coast. Plus 3 minutes walk to Lidl supermarket and a garage opposite with petrol station and convenient store. The Co-op supermarket is 1.2 miles while the main Sainsbury's supermarket and petrol station is 2.3 miles with Aldi next door. Also there is home bargains and Aldi next to Sainsbury's.
