Bienvenue au Blue Pearl Cottage, une belle maison de plage ensoleillée, à quelques minutes des plages fabuleuses, de la faune et du pittoresque centre-ville de Chincoteague. Ce chalet aéré niché à côté des bois de pins a une grande terrasse enveloppante, un porche grillagé et offre une intimité et calme, avec toutes les commodités de la maison. Les naturalistes aimeront la faune - repérer les faucons et les colibris du pont. Il dispose de trois chambres et deux salles de bains, des meubles de bon goût, des planchers de bois franc partout. Promenez-vous au bout de la route pour rejoindre la Chaîne Assateague, avec des vues sur le marais jusqu'au phare. Un court trajet en voiture ou à vélo est l'île d'Assateague, désignée comme un rivage national et complètement non développée. L'île offre des possibilités inégalées pour nager, bronzer, faire de la randonnée, du vélo, du poisson, du crabe et du surf. Nous avons laissé des filets cravins et des planches de surf pour que vous puissiez profiter de l'eau. Ou utilisez les jumelles pour regarder les poneys sauvages, les Blue Herons, les pélicans et de nombreux autres oiseaux côtiers, et simplement vous détendre sur une magnifique plage. Si vous gardez un œil sur la mer, vous verrez peut-être des dauphins traverser l’eau pendant qu’ils se nourrissent ou de magnifiques pélicans bruns traversant les vagues. Un petit pont relie l'île à Chincoteague. Retour à Blue Pearl; Détendez-vous sur le porche ou dans le grand jardin en jouant au croquet et aux jeux de ballon. Si vous cherchez un chalet de plage paisible pour une escapade romantique ou des vacances en famille, vous apprécierez Blue Pearl. La charmante ville possède une grande variété de restaurants locaux, des boutiques, des glaciers, des activités pour les enfants et même une nouvelle scène artistique. Blue Pearl Cottage was a pearl!!! Our stay was wonderful. Loved the vintage vibe of the home and everything was clean and neat when we got there and when we left. We will definately be back!!!

Great home base for beach week

We had a wonderful stay at Blue Pearl. The house was exactly as advertised. Kitchen was well equipped, and the location was close to everything. Property management office was very responsive.

Beach Stay

The property is close to all amenities and to Assateague Island for the beach. There are very little cable channels and no smart TV, so it’s good to have tablets if that’s important to you.

Quiet wooded convenient location on Chincoteague

Quiet, wooded lot with feeling of privacy. Conveniently located near downtown Chincoteague, restaurants and other sites of interest, including the beach, Assateague Island, NASA Visitor Center, etc. Liked being here just before summer began. Would be good to tell visitors if had not been rented recently that the initial sulfur smell of the water upon arrival dissipates quickly.

Quiet location.Only thing needed was some type of window blind for the large front and side windows. The windows are large and with the lights on at night passerby’s can view inside. The Village Restaurant was excellent for seafood. The Island Creamery had amazing ice cream..We did drive the hour to the Maryland entrance of the Assateague National Seashore to view the Pony’s. Saw many more there, up close. They are allowed to roam freely there. Also the NASA museum was worth a few hours and it was free.Would recommend area for a nice getaway. Was not very busy in late May. Not buggy yet.

Other than the decor being somewhat dated, the house was very clean and in a very quiet neighborhood. The location of the house was very convenient to everything Chincoteague Island has to offer.

I suppose the "supply your own toilet paper" thing threw me for a loop. Toilet paper?? I understand no paper towel if dish cloths are provided...but toilet paper?? In 65 yrs, I never stayed at a place I had to supply my own TP. She informed me it was in the contract but I certainly did not see it. Perhaps in tiny print somewhere...We paid to rent towels and sheets, neither of which were at the home when we arrived. When called and questioned, we were told to come and get them ourselves. When we went back to management, the receptionist was on the phone with another customer. We only wanted our towels and sheets we had rented (and a roll of TP). Instead of asking to place the person on the phone on hold for 60 seconds while she handed our sheets and towels to us, she rudely made us stand there for 15 minutes while she went into detail about several things with the person on the phone. She appeared quite rude that we had asked for toilet paper, towels and sheets. Someone "forgot" to leave them at the home. The property itself was nice and clean. The property next door was extremely swampy which created a total infestation of small mosquitos(?) which quickly invaded a car or house. By the 2nd morning of a 3 night stay, the coffee maker stopped working and only produced a small amount of "sludge".Thank goodness for the screened in porch or it would have been impossible to be outside even 5 minutes with the bugs. The location of the house was nice except for the swamp next door.

great house, quiet location

I wanted to write a fantastic review because the owner was so nice about everything.(management co. a little stiff/ maybe just professional). Instead I will make it honest for future renters. The house is in a very quiet location which was wonderful for us. You do have one house almost on top of you but there are trees and bushes in between and you didn't hear any noise from it. The screened porch on the other side looks into woods so more privacy on that side. Wished there was a table out there. They say the house is newly renovated- there is new paint and floors look newly redone but still old in many ways (peeling wallpaper in bathroom, broken locks on doors and windows). They need to replace the mattress in master bedroom and one of the twins- they look and feel about 30 years old. The sofa bed is actually a futon. We survived fine because I brought some foam things to put on the beds ($9 at walmart) that made it comfortable. The door of the 3rd bedroom does not close- a little problem for my adult daughter. We tried to close it as much as we could which caused a problem when she tried to get out to go to the bathroom at 6 am- it opened with a bang and woke everyone up. There is one tiny tv in bedroom and no dvd or cable/satellite as far as we could find. There were no instructions on where to find things or how to work them. Place was dirty when we got there- had to sweep up the house at the beginning and end (they say housekeeping is included but then the note you get when you pick up key is that you need to sweep, vacuum, and take out trash yourself). I am trying to be honest though a lot of these things may not bother some people at all- we actually had a very pleasant stay and the fact that it was so quiet at night and in the morning was a huge plus for us. I think if they put in new mattresses, fixed that bedroom door and sprayed for ants (and maybe changed their housekeepers) this house would be wonderful!

The home was well equipped with your basic needs in the kitchen. The view of the wildlife in the yard was exceptional to watch. The family of deer was an added plus! Comfortable bedding and spacious. The only complaint is the AC unit was acceptable for late August, but if temperatures rises above 90 degrees the house would not be cool. The temperature control could not be lowered past the required set point. Overall, I would recommend this home to others and would stay again in early June or late August.

The furniture have a lot of cachet, the decoration is charming, however the kitchen could benefit for some update. But for the price it was totally ok.We especially appreciate the screened porch, as the house is located in a shadowed area, by the swamps, so surrounded by mosquitoes. We have been able to enjoy nice evenings.Overall the house cleaning was ok (kitchen and bathroom) but a lot of dog hair were spread on the terrace, and inside the house. It was also a little dusty. Forks and knives were not clean, we hat to wash them all again.

As always Harbor Rentals had everything clean, tidy and ready for us and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to enjoy some good seafood meals! The only negatives, The furniture could use some help, the kitchen chairs are a bit rickety, not very sturdy and the living room furniture is not very comfortable for relaxing/lounging on after a full day of fun in the sun...or a rainy day. Window coverings on the front windows would really be nice too since after dark you can see everything in the house from the street.

The screened porch was a nice place to relax and the interior mid century modern furnishings were nostalgic and comfortable. The cottage was very pleasant for a relaxed weekend. No major frills but just what we needed. It was just the two of us and our dog but a family of six would have plenty of space. Harbour Rentals were great to work with and we will use them again!

It is a great location; we had ample room for everyone. The ensuite bath has a slow draining sink, which might need attention. The screened in porch is nice; could use a good cleaning, but overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Love, Love, Love the house and its amenities. Great Location!! Close to everything. Our only issue was with the window coverings or lack their of. Nothing on the front windows...fine during the day but when lights are on inside at night with no curtains you are exposed to the world. ALSO the master BDR and the one across the hall are exposed to a motion detection light from a neighbor and the venation blinds do NOT BLOCK the blinking light nor the sunrise in the morning, it streams in the Master BDR & bath windows in the rear of the house. Making it hard to sleep-in on vacation. All this being said...WE LOVED STAYING AT THE BLUE PERAL COTTAGE! We will return again....and again!
