The great enjoyment can begin! Sitting on the terrace, in the morning sun with a cup of coffee. Or would you prefer the cool shade to start your day? It's all possible in and around Villa Selene, located between Xirosterni and Vamos, in the NorthWest of Crete.
The quiet and space in your garden makes another fantastic day. Take a dip in your spacious swimming pool or relax on one of the many terraces.
It is a 45-minute drive from Chania airport. Heraklion airport is approximately 100 minutes by car.
Almyrida beach is approximately 10 minutes by car with its many taverns and bars.

Nice villa for family vacation

Our family enjoyed a week in the nice villa relaxing by the pool with short trips to local towns. Stathis made us feel very welcome and well taken care of.

Gorgeous villa

Super spacious villa, with beautiful interior. Lovely peaceful location, short walk to local shop, close to beaches and the lake, which we all enjoyed. Great view of the sunset.

Villa Selene, Crete

Fantastic villa 20 minutes in the mountains with lovely pool and great facilities. Welcome pack was very well provided. Chania and Rethymno are great towns to visit and eat out, trekking Samaria Gorge was awesome and Stathis' (property manager) recommendations were great. All in all a highly recommended place to stay.

Beautiful and peaceful vacation

The villa surpassed expectations - everything was well presented, completely clean and support from the local property manager, Stathis, and his wife was excellent. Everything worked as it should and the location is idyllic - completely quiet, other than the occasional sounds of nature, and very private. The grounds are extremely well landscaped and the views of both the sea and the mountains were wonderful. There are a couple of tavernas within walking distance and a small shop that is well stocked, but a car is definitely needed to be able to get the most out of this beautiful island. It was just what we needed after the last 18 months and definitely hope to return at some stage.

We had a wonderful holiday at this villa. The villa is presented to a very high standard. The living areas are a good size and the kitchen is modern and well equipped. The air conditioning was efficient which meant the villa was always cool, even on the hottest of days in August. The bedrooms were a good size and the beds were comfortable. Housekeeping and cleaning during our visit was much appreciated and very efficient. The pool area is well equipped and nicely located. There are several different outside areas to sit in so you can always find some sun or shade. The location of the vila meant we could visit Almyrida, Chania and Rethymno as well as the local village of Vamos which had good restaurants and local shops. One improvement would be slightly better Wi-Fi!

Amazing villa. Superb holiday.

Villa Selene is a superb villa to spend your holiday in. From the fantastic communication with Patrick and Stathis they made our holiday wonderful and easy. The Villa is immaculate and is set in a large plot with excellent outdoor space and a very welcoming pool. Stunning views on every side make this a very unique and wonderful place to stay. The villa is really well set out and in fantastic condition with everything you would need. Bedding is changed regularly and the villa cleaned to a very high standard by a lovely team. I cannot fault this holiday destination in any way at all. There is easy access, by car, to local beaches and restaurants with major tourist attractions a short drive away. Book it !!! Added bonus is Chania Airport was a breeze to get to and from and a great wee airport to fly into.

Beautiful and Relaxing Holiday

Villa Selene was as gorgeous and stylish as it looks on the photos. We had a wonderful two weeks! We had everything we needed at the villa - it is really well-equipped and was was spotlessly clean. In a quiet area, its location means the views were stunning - we watched many beautiful sunsets from the veranda. Location-wise it was super convenient - being in walking distance of two taverns and a shop - and there are supermarkets and many restaurants within close driving distance. There are some lovely beaches in the area. We were there end of Sept /early October - quite late in the season - but apart from one day, the weather was sunny and very warm. We loved it, and would highly recommend it! Many thanks to Patrick, and to Stathis for looking after us so well.

Vacances de rêve

Nous avons passé une semaine dans cette villa et nous aurions pu rester encore plus longtemps. La villa est fantastique, très lumineuse, avec une super vue sur la mer et sur les collines. Nous sommes à la fois tranquilles mais pas complètement isolés, avec quelques villas aux alentours. La villa est très bien équipée, avec tout le confort nécessaire. Nous avons eu un accueil très gentil de la part de Stathis qui nous a en plus accueilli avec un panier de bienvenue (vin, jus orange, pain de mie, œuf…). La villa est décorée avec goût. La piscine est de belle taille, nous en avons bien profité. La villa est bien placée, pas loin d’Almirida ( que nous avons beaucoup aimé pour les restos et la plage), pas loin du village de Vamos (typique village crétois avec de bons restaurants et tavernes) mais il faut vraiment avoir une voiture pour se déplacer. Bref nous reviendrons sans hésiter dans cette villa qui a grandement participé à nos vacances réussies en Crete. Merci à Stathis pour son accueil, Merci également à Patrick pour ses conseils et sa disponibilité lors de nos échanges fréquents concernant l’organisation de cette semaine.

Ein wunderschönes Ferienhaus, ein wundervoller Urlaub mit allem was dazugehört.

Wie waren insgesamt zwei Wochen in diesem wundervollen Ferienhaus und haben die Zeit in vollen Zügen genossen. Am Pool entspannen, abends gemütlich grillen oder in den umliegenden Tavernen leckeres Essen genießen. Wir sind jetzt seit einer Woche wieder zu Hause und vermissen Kreta, das Haus und die ganze Gegend wirklich sehr. Sofern wir eine Frage hatten, wurde diese sofort von Stathis oder Patrick beantwortet, es war ein wirklich traumhafter Urlaub. Danke dafür.

Erholung pur

Gepflegtes großzügiges Feriendomizil in ruhiger Lage aber noch relativer Nähe zu Chania (30 Min mit dem Auto). Großes Grundstück und sehr schönem Pool (regelmäßige Reinigung) mit schönem Blick auf Berge um Meer. Man findet immer ein Plätzchen (auch schattig) um den Tag zu genießen. (Auto sollte verfügbar sein um die nähere und weitere Umgebung zu erkunden.) Unkomplizierte sehr freundliche Brgrüssung/Betreuung vor Ort durch Patrick (Besitzer) und exzellente Zwischenreinigung durch das Serviceteam. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Great house on the hill

I can absolutely recommend Patrick's villa. It is situated just far enough away from everything, that you are almost undisturbed, but still it's only 10-20mins to nice restaurants and the surrounding villages. It's a beutiful place with a great view of the mountains and a wonderfully crafted garden surrounding the comfortable seating, grill and pool area. Perfect for a nice mix of relaxing pool days in combination with some trips to the beaches just north and one or two adventures in the wilder south, which is also near enough. We'd come again :)

Exceeded expectations!

The villa was everything we hoped for and we were suprised how spacious it is. Everything was clean, we were given a welcome package, and it was easy to get in touch with the property manager, who was very helpful. Outdoor living space is perfect to relax by the pool, eat dinner and find a place to chill and have a few drinks, all while enjoying the beautiful view of the Cretan landscape.

Tolle Villa bei der einfach alles stimmt. Ruhige Lage mit Blick auf die Berge und das Meer, toller Pool, reichlich Rückzugsmöglichkeiten, voll ausgestattete Küche und wunderschöne Strände in der Nähe. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

In 2004 I bought a first piece of land to build a holiday home. It is so relaxing there! Later, 2 more luxury holiday homes were built on my behalf, Villa Helios and Villa Selene. From 2020 I like to rent these 2 villas to you!
