Location location location!

This room has some of the best views you can get! We watched whales from the balcony every morning and evening! I would highly recommend this room to my closest of friends and family in the future

Amazing views

We brought our family of five to Hawaii for the first time and couldn’t have asked for a better place. It had the most amazing views of the ocean and breathtaking sunsets every night. The place was a perfect place to call home while we there. The kids loved the pools and being so close to the beach. We would stay here again in a second.

Travel for work just got better!

Stayed here during a 3 day conference for work with 2 other coworkers. The view was awesome! The location was awesome! So nice to get done with conferences at the end of a day and be in the water 20 minutes later.

Gorgeous condo

We stayed at this condo with our children and grandchildren, seven total people. With the fold out couch, it was perfect. The condo was very well stocked with dishes, cookware and beach toys. They had a portacrib also, which we didn’t need but was another sign of how well this is appointed. We loved it!

Our family of 7 had a wonderful experience at the Honua Kai, Hokulani #925. Beautiful view! Clean, well-appointed unit with nice furnishings and appliances. Plenty of room for all of us and very comfortable. Beach towels supplied were a nice touch. Would definitely stay there again.

Awesome ocean view

We enjoyed the view from our balcony!!! The unit was clean, well maintained and the rooms were a very good size. The fĂĄcil y is well maintained and the landscape and vegetation beautiful. We also enjoyed the pool and the cabana was very comfortable and nice. We would love to rent this unit when we come back to Maui.

Full ocean view!!

Fantastic location with gorgeous ocean views. Easy access to the beach great for snorkeling. Property manager was easy to reach. Few inconveniences were approx 2 hour power outage one of the evenings. And the dryer didn’t work properly despite maintenance coming to fix. Also larger pots and pans and a rice cooker in the kitchen would’ve been nice considering the room sleeps 8. Overall a great property and we’d come back again!

Whale Season

This property has an incredible view of the ocean for whale watching. Whales went right past the property every day. It was much closer to the ocean than expected. The pools were fantastic and not over crowded. Great walking trail connected to the property. The kitchen was fantastic as we ate most meals at the condo. Our only complaint is they really need to patio furniture as the wicker is unraveling and old. They could definitely use a spruce up in the condo with paint and some fixtures falling apart (toilet paper holder, cabinet in the kitchen and some small things like that. We would definitely stay here again. The property manager was very good also with anything we needed.

Beautiful property, condo needs updates

We have stayed here 3 times before in different units and they were wonderful but this one had some delayed maintenance issues that need attention. The fridge is broken and the freezer was leaking and does not make ice, not acceptable for price we paid. Overall, the property could use a paint job and a deep cleaning. Pools were always overcrowded and dirty and people playing ball in the yard and in the pool was somehwat dangerous and annoying.

We had an overall great stay at Honua Kai. It was the perfect place for our large family to gather. We ended up renting three condos and it was perfect. If it weren't for some communication difficulties, I would've given this property 5 stars without a second thought. The condos are undergoing painting on the balconies that prevents you from using them. It honestly wasn't a big deal, we still had a great view. Some properties chose to put this in their listing, however this one did not notify us until after we booked. They did comp us a significant portion off of our nightly rate which I would give five stars for, but I would've appreciated the transparency up front. I also felt like a lot of my questions took repeated emails to get responses to. Each morning on my trip was spent trying to sort through the emails they'd sent and working with their outdated payment processor to try and pay for a simple rollaway bed. It's been over 2 weeks since our trip and I'm still not sure if the payment went through--I was told someone would look into the technical issues and get back to me during my trip, but I still haven't heard anything and hopefully I wasn't charged a late fee. Overall, the trip was great, but the one less star is for the amount of time I feel I had to spend during my trip on my email, trying to get questions answered/billing errors fixed. Their customer service was very kind and respectful, they just didn't always follow up when they said they would.

Old photos of unit made it look pristine. Furniture had tears, holes, lamps had shorts & did not work, lights in fridge & oven were out, freezer leaks, patio furniture stained & coming apart. Just to name a few! NOT worth the money!!!

Great view but needs updating and repairs

We had a great week and the views from this condo are fantastic. However, this condo is in serious need of repairs and updates. The wine cooler, ice maker, dryer, iron, and shower controls in bath 3 were not working and the living room furniture, bar stools and patio table had holes and were falling apart. The location was great and the beachfront was very swimmable. It was also nice having Duke's onsite, and a parking garage available.

Needs some updating

We’ve stayed at Honda Kai many times but this is the first time that we were disappointed. The couch/hideabed was unusable. It was so thin that we had to pile on everything we could find to be able to sleep on it. It was also threadbare to the point that you could see the metal mechanics! The dryer only warmed up the moisture in the clothes. We had to lay everything out on the lanai to dry.

This condo has a great view and easy access to all accommodations. The condo was stocked with sand toys, beach chairs, umbrella and cooler. The view from the deck is beautiful and each room has plenty of space. The kitchen has all the things you need. Highly recommend! Very friendly family resort.

Parent Getaway

Although definitely a family resort ( silent by 10 pm) we parents still had a great getaway. Beautiful balcony view to watch whales jump, waves crash and palm trees sway!

Everything you need to enjoy Maui with an amazing view

This is a beautiful property with an amazing view of the ocean (and in January, humpback whales surfacing regularly). Full kitchen has all the cooking utensils, pots, pans you need. Also had boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella. Beach/pool towels on site. Excellent pools and restaurant (Duke’s). Can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful Views + Luxury

This property is such a grand treat and was beyond our expectations. The photos listed are close to capturing how spacious and beautiful the property is but actually being there to experience it is on another level. My fiancĂ© and I (Yes! We got engaged on this trip) had a trip planned with our families and the first big combined trip with everyone. We were right in the middle of the resort and I can’t get over the morning sunrise and sunsets out on the lanai patio. Great amenities with washer dryer, full kitchen, beach chairs and umbrellas. Also a cooler for us to bring on picnics. The resort includes a parking pass and so easy to park and head up to our room. Age ranged from our parents 55+ to our younger nieces under 21 and was plenty of space for (6) of us. We will be returning and 100% staying at this property. Located right next to Dukes, a minute walk to the beach and just a great place to be on vacation with the whole family. Thank you Honua Kai for an exceptional stay!

Great unit for large group

Our three-generation, seven people group had plenty of room in this unit. You can’t beat three bedroom, three bath for ages 16-72. Location was phenomenal with plenty of free parking. It’s obvious however that your not expected to stay-in and eat as the kitchen is sparsely equipped. Plenty for sunset cocktails however!
