Welcome to my home!

Right across from one of the highest points of Edinburgh, my cosy flat has everything you'll need to make yourself feel comfortable.

Comprised of 2 bedrooms with queen size beds lined in hotel-quality sheets and linens. A main living area and a fully-equipped kitchen. My home is simply decorated with soft fabrics and soft colors to make you feel at ease, with plush seating and a large screen TV for your personal entertainment. The dining table can seat about 4 people, while the kitchen is equipped with all the mod-cons needed for cooking a basic meal... including salt, pepper and cooking oil. A toaster and electric kettle is also available.

A bath and shower can be found in my home, along with the basics. Complimentary toiletries, fresh towels and a hairdryer are also available as well.

My home will be cleaned and sanitised before your arrive.

The apartment is located on the ground floor with stair-free access.

Guests will have access to the entire home!

Close to the residential area of Newington, which is easy to fall in love with. Vibrant and leafy, this residential area is a 20 minutes walk from Edinburgh Royall Mile. The Victorian architecture and the many independent restaurants and boutiques give Newington a charming and relaxing feel, without all the tourists piling down like in the city center. This area starts directly beyond the Old Town (where the Royal Mile is) were attractions, bars and restaurants congregate. The Meadows are its beautiful "back garden" and the city center is within easy walking distance.

From my home to Old Town Edinburgh will take 30 minutes by foot, or 5 minutes by car. However, just steps from my home, there is a bus stop where you can catch various buses (14, 30, 33, 51 and X95) to Old Town.

Please note that this is a self-check-in property. There is a zero-tolerance policy for smoking in the property. If our team discovers any evidence that this rule has been breached (e.g., smoke smell, ashes, butts, etc.) we fully reserve the right to charge a £300 smoking fee, at minimum.Please also note we do not allow parties, large gatherings, loud noises, or outside guests. Should we receive sufficient evidence of such activity we reserve the right to cancel your stay (without refund) and may involve a security team to evict you. Any associated cost will be charged to you via your security deposit. Local authorities may also be present (if required).

We regularly visit Edinburgh to see family and have stayed in a number of flats, B&Bs and the like. Of them all, this was undoubtedly the best. An attractive building that is well positioned and thoughtfully equipped; we really wanted for nothing. Beds were particularly comfortable and the location surprisingly peaceful. The only downside was a wobbly loo seat and the burglar alarm with an intermittent fault (which the owner was apparently aware of) that rather blighted our first evening. However, Guest Ready were very accessible and acted quickly to resolve the matter. We would certainly like to stay in Salisbury Lodge again, or any property that was managed by Guest Ready.

Nice place, good home base to explore Edinburgh

The place was clean and comfortable for a family of four. It was conveniently located a block ftom the local bus stop where you can catch frequent buses that take you around Edinburgh. Has a kitchen and a washing machine. A bonus was the gym across the street, you can pay by the day, or week if you're staying for just a short time. It's also walkable to a njce golf course which has rental clubs and everything you need to play a round. There are multiple pubs, restaurants, and a market within a 3 to 10 min walk and the neighborhood is very nice. It's also nice that it's just outside of the main bustle of the Royal Mile. A little more serene and away from the crowds. Would stay again.

Cozy but not clean

Bugs were along the baseboards in the dining room and required pest control while there. The carpet along with any upholstered furniture (couch and chairs) are covered by blankets and rugs. Not sure what it’s all covering but doesn’t give off a very clean feeling. The bedding was very comfortable. The location is good but on a very busy street corner so traffic noise is easily heard from inside. Property manager was responsive when we contacted them about the bugs.

I stayed at this property with a colleague for two weeks. The place has a lot of potential and could be really lovely if it were given a bit more care. Unfortunately, the main issue was the shower — the water drained very slowly from day one, and by the end of our stay it was so bad we had to turn the water off repeatedly just to avoid flooding. It meant we never really got to enjoy a proper shower the whole time we were there. The kitchen was well equipped, but the knives were so blunt it made cooking frustrating. Heating worked well and the house could feel quite cosy, but little details let it down — several lamps had broken bulbs, the curtain rails were loose, and the fake flowers were dusty. Beds were comfortable and clean, which was appreciated. However, halfway through our stay we ran out of loo roll and were told it’s only provided for the first night — which felt a bit unreasonable. Overall, it’s not terrible, but it definitely needs more attention and maintenance. For a short stay it might be fine, but for a longer visit, I’d suggest finding somewhere you can properly relax and enjoy a decent shower after a long day. Location is great though and we managed to walk to most places.

Die Wohnung war sehr gemütlich und hat uns gut gefallen. Die Küche war ganz gut ausgestattet, so daß man wirklich was mit ihr anfangen konnte. Die Lage ist auch ausreichend nah vom Stadtzentrum.Wenn man gut zu Fuß ist konnte man hinlaufen. Ansonsten fahren mehrere Busse hin. Guestreadypersonal war an unserem Abreisetag sehr hilfreich, als wir nach unserem Auschecken noch etwas in der Wohnung vergessen hatten. Einziger Wermutstropfen: Das Haus war an unserem Anreisetag nicht geheizt (9°C) und wie man die Heizung bedient, war auch nicht richtig beschrieben. Wir haben dann herausgefunden daß man zunächst den Wasserboiler einschalten UND die richtige Vorlauftemperatur einstellen musste und man konnte dann den Wohnungsthermostat richtig einstellen. Kurz: wir hatten einen Tag benötigt die Wohnung bewohnbar warm zu bekommen. Danch war es aber sehr schön.
