Good position, elegant, spotlessly clean. Slightly old fashioned feel but not in a bad way, the hotel has character. Professional and friendly staff. Good food. The car park is a huge plus.

Absolutely wonderful stay in this excellent hotel.

A wonderful welcome in Reception from Alan, also Shirley the chambermaid who prepared our room early as we arrived early. A nice touch to get into our room earlier than anticipated. Our room was wonderful and clean and quiet,and a wonderful breakfast. All staff were very attentive and pleasant. A free car park which was very handy as we were allowed to park there for a few hours after checking out. Thank you all, we will definitely return in the not too distant future.

We do like staying at Norton House, with its convenient and attractive surroundings and location.

The room was spacious and quiet. There was plenty of storage and the kettle, etc. were placed on an easily accessible chest of drawers. The bathroom was warm and the shower worked well. The vegetarian breakfast was very good.
