We tried to book last year & couldn't & were really looking forward to our very unique holiday. We loved everything about 'The Old Hall' & our beautiful 'East Wing', the gardens, the hens & animals, all the treats left for us & most of all the wonderful care & welcome received from Phil & Gill.

Incredible hosts and luxurious accommodation made for an absolutely perfect getaway!

The accommodation was absolutely stunning, immaculately clean, luxurious, and beautifully designed with everything we could possibly need for a relaxing stay. What truly made our stay unforgettable, though, was the incredible warmth of both Phil and Gil. From the moment we arrived, they went completely above and beyond to make us feel welcome, offering unmatched hospitality and thoughtful personal touches. We could not have asked for a more perfect experience and will definitely be back.

Pure indulgence

I don’t know how to start to leave a review on this totally spellbinding place. The hosts are fantastic and so hospitable. The hampers were very large and good value. The part of the house we stayed in was very glamorous. The outside Thai meal the Gil organized was delicious and Phil was the waiter and fantastic I think he enjoyed it. And lastly the gorgeous dogs Humphrey and Hattie actually melt your heart. This was our 2nd stay, the first was stable cottage and the last stay was the west wing

Perfect in every way

Philip and Gil made our stay special they are the perfect hosts. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and just right for our needs. Afternoon tea was everything you could want and more. Also the Indian meal we had was delicious. It was a time to reset the batteries and feeding chicken goats and horses was such a treat . Can’t wait to revisit.

Total sense of relaxation in the most idyllic surroudings .

From the moment we arrived we had the most welcoming greeting from Philip and Gil. I adored our accommodation, from the tasteful decor to the total sense of ease and relaxation that the the whole experience delivers . Not forgetting all the wonderful animals , Donkeys, horse, hens and my favourite Pigmy goats, adorable. The main attraction is obviously Humphrey ,a wire haired fox terrier that wanders in a makes himself at home, just adorable. I can not wait to return .

This is the best and most tranquil place we have stayed

This was our third stay this year and they have all been fantastic Gil and Philip are so nice and caring It’s lovely to see the animals, they are so well looked after and loved it’s very special. It’s nice that Gil Can help with places to visit

The Old Hall family made us feel like family Attention to detail is amazing throughout there if needed but not invasive We must mention our guide Hector who was the most friendly dog Then the rest of the animal family who we loved A thank you to the chickens for the most tasty eggs The only problem we could mention is we did not stay longer We will be back

Luxory accommodation in a Tudor Manor set the the countryside

Five star accommodation set in beautiful grounds.The hosts were extremely helpful and it was pleasant to have a log burner for the cold evenings when we ate in. East in options are available brought to the accommodation and we had an excellent Thai. If you like chickens, they have an amazing variety.

An eagerly awaited return visit, and it didn't disappoint, just as wonderful as our first.
