The screened-in porch was a perfect gathering spot - fantastic water views (many birds), and a fabulous breeze. We did not see one mosquito! We had 6 adults, and 2 small children (3 and 1). It was nice to have water access for our kayaks - would have been better to have direct access. Overall, everyone had a great time.

We had an plenty space to stretch out in. Our family has 2 adults and 2 teens. The teens were happy to have their own rooms. Only complaints are that we had ants in the kitchen and the road to the house was a bit bumpy.

Lovely views of the Bay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a lovely time at Assateague. It was perfect for us. The house is at the north end of the island and away from the main and Maddox streets. Every room has water view but the house doesn’t have water access. House had everything what we could want for a stay. We left a note in the guest book. Pros: location, cleanliness, views of sunrise and sunset, bay and breeze, all the facilities in the house, ample space and well equipped kitchen. Cons: toilet overflowed 2nd day, instructions for cable/DVD outdated, no beach chairs or umbrellas, ants and loads of them/ difficult to cook. Mgt depends on who you talk to, some are super and some not. Originally wanted to book another house but most reviews complained about mattress, mgt lady said she doesn’t read reviews and no plans to change anything. They don’t visit the page and house.

Great location, wonderful views

The property had all of the room and amenities we needed for our extended family of 6 adults and 1 toddler (thanks for the baby gate). Convenient to town yet pretty private. Carpet could use a good cleaning and some of the surfaces in kitchen had a greasy film however may be expected after a season of rentals. Owners have thought of most everything and you can tell it is a well-loved property. Would stay here again. Easy access to kayaking.
