Delightful newly converted dairy

Newly available old dairy, comfortable and spacious with vaulted ceilings. The large bedroom has a spacious and well appointed en-suite shower room. The large and comfortable kitchen and living area is light and airy with patio doors opening onto the private garden. The accommodation sleeps two.

Whilst retaining the original character the accommodation is finished to a high standard and offers every modern convenience.

Set in the beautiful Sussex Weald the location is quiet and peaceful yet convenient for Tunbridge Wells, Brighton and London.

With a secure private garden The Dairy is child and infant friendly, good dogs are welcome and will enjoy the local walks across fields and woods right on the doorstep. It's surprising how many trails converge at The Huntsman pub!

There's fast WiFi and a good mobile signal. The Dairy is great for holiday breaks as well as longer stays for job postings, families between houses, or escape from building works.

There is parking for two cars with a pathway through the gate to the garden. The owners live nearby and are available with any assistance required but the Dairy is entirely private and self-contained.

A wonderful property set in a lovely, quiet location that is within just 3 or 4 miles of Tunbridge Wells.It has everything that you need with plenty of space for a comfortable stay.Antony and Christine are a delightful and approachable couple who couldn't be more helpful.

Beautifully clean, well presented and cosy - loved staying here. Had some nice touches with the fresh flowers on arrival and good kitchen. Bathroom was fab. Garden was completely private and it was great to have covered parking. Many thanks to the hosts, Antony and Christine!

Perfect escape in the country.

A beautiful well-presented cottage in a perfect location for exploring the south east. Very well equipped and tastefully decorated with all mod-cons. A home from home.

August family holiday

We really enjoyed our stay. The kids loved the pool, even when it wasn’t that warm. Lots to do locally and within 30-60min drive, including walking, bike rides, horse riding and National Trust properties. The property was well equipped.

Excellent property

We enjoyed a lovely 12 night stay at the Dairy. It is beautifully furnished with a very comfortable bed and lovely patio. We had amazing weather and enjoyed many days out cycling and visiting National Trust properties as well as the coast. It’s not walking distance to any amenities really but was very peaceful and a great base for sightseeing in a beautiful part of the country.

A great place to stay - def recommend!

We stayed at the Dairy Farm for a change of scenery and chilled few days, and we were so surprised by the ease of location, closeness to amenities, the IMMACULATE cleanliness level of the property, and such warm welcome by Anthony and Christine! The property had everything we needed, including utensils for our family/child, pristine bathrooms/shower, own garden (but with access to a great hay field!), upright pool (upon request), lovely underfloor heating, etc. We cannot recommend this place enough, and will be staying here again for sure! Great for families, couples, friends staying for a retreat, everyone basically!

Fantastic accommodation for our family and dog

What a brilliant find in beautiful East Sussex. Our stay was so comfortable and the house so fresh, clean and accommodating. Ideal for our first break away with our dog as the garden is so secure and spacious. Thank you to host Antony for welcoming us and making our stay so memorable. We would definitely recommend this attractive property for exploring the area, including beautiful Ashdown Forest. Great memories made.

Spectacular property

We had a wonderful week for our family holiday (2 adults and kids 6 and 11 plus dog!) The property is beautiful, very well presented and equipped and very clean. The kids adored the swimming pool that had been put up for us and managed to get in every day even when it was a bit chilly. The safe and enclosed garden is perfect for the dog and he also loved walking in the surrounding fields. The hosts were great and we hope to be back in years to come.

High Standard Property

This all ground floor property was ideal for us for whom one in the party has reduced mobility. There was plenty of circulation space and the property was always warm. The kitchen was well equipped and bedrooms comfortable. The property location was ideal within easy reach of many gardens and heritage sites. Would recommend to anyone with these interests. Although close to the A26 we were not aware of any traffic noise.

Everything we needed!

Delightful property with stunning views over the Downs. The cottage was really well equipped, with lovely kitchen area, sitting room and bathrooms. Everywhere was beautifully present and clean and just right for our stay in Sussex. There was also ample parking space in the barn and on the long tarmac drive. Can’t think of anything we lacked. Antony was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The bonus was the field where we could run our 2 lively labradors before going out for the day. They were in doggy heaven. It was also great that The Dairy has an enclosed private garden, which we all enjoyed whilst we were at the property. This was a great spot for touring East Sussex. We especially enjoyed discovering the walks around Ashdown Forest (home of Winnie the Pooh). Would highly recommend The Dairy.

OK for what we needed, but wouldn't recommend

Plus: Lots of space, secure garden was wonderful for our dogs. Good shower. Comfy beds. Minus: The gate catch is broken, impossible to close it from the outside without reaching over. This is a £5 fix. The oven wasn’t clean. The hand held Dyson only lasted a minute or two before it went flat. Fridge shelves were dirty. This property is called the dairy, and there wasn’t even so much as a pint of milk in the fridge. The light over the hob wouldn’t stay on. The track for the vertical blind above the “back” door is coming away from the ceiling. Only one window in the lounge/kitchen that’s so high up you need to be over 6 foot tall to reach it. Neither bathroom has a shaver socket. This property sleeps four people; in the lounge is a two seater settee, and a single chair. The soundbar was woefully inadequate for the telly. The toaster was dirty. When we took down our few Christmas decorations, there was a shower of dust from the beams, so we send up re-cleaning everything we’d put on the dining table. Adding this to the oven and fridge issues, this did not feel a very clean property. All in all, having never ventured to this part of our country before, its location made it an ideal base from which we could explore Eastbourne, Brighton, Chichester and others, but it’s not a property we would want to go back to, or recommend.

We recommend that this review is read and contrasted with the 19 other reviews all 5 star. Whilst we are glad to take on board all guest comments and are commended as "responsive" in multiple reviews, we feel this review contains material inaccuracies from guests who started out with needs, requests and expectations beyond the scope of a premium holiday let offer and who write here with a plainly negative agenda.

Absolutely fantastic property, very nice layout, very clean, beautiful well kept garden with a large 12ft pool to dip into, own parking bay, secluded enclosed garden for dogs and kids. had a great week with our dogs, the UK weather was excellent, beautiful countryside, a short drive to a supermarket, petrol station. Farm shop a short drive away but very expensive, Pubs not too far away, lanes not really suitable for walking along, not many cars but they drive too fast. We would love to go again, 100% recommend Hamsell Dairy

Ein perfektes Zuhause auch für einen langen Aufenthalt (wir sind 3 Wochen geblieben), in dem man alles vorfindet was man brauchen könnte. Wir haben uns wie Zuhause gefühlt.Vorab gab es ein sehr informatives Portfolio mit dem wir problemlos zum Cottage und zu unserem Parkplatz gefunden haben. Der Gastgeber war auch sofort da und hat uns direkt ins Cottage geführt und stand für Fragen zur Verfügung.Alles in Allem hatten wir einen tollen Aufenthalt und merken uns das Cottage für einen weiteren Urlaub in dieser Gegend.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt wirklich genossen. das Haus ist super gemütlich und hat alles, was man benötigt. Die Betten waren super bequem, die Küche toll ausgestattet und unsere Kinder haben den Pool unsicher gemacht 😁 Unsere Gastgeber waren sehr zuvorkommend und unglaublich hilfsbereit. Großartig!

Es war großartig, eine mit sehr viel Liebe und Geschick hergerichtete Location. Neu, sauber, gemütlich. Absolute Ruhe und Entspannung, in einer tollen Umgebung. Unsere Gastfamilie war superfreundlich, unkompliziert ... einfach nette Leute. Zum Meer, nach London, zu wunderschönen Castle's oder einfach nur in die Natur? Top zentral gelegen und doch weit weg von Stress, Hektik und Lärm. Nach London, mit dem Zug nur 45Min oder mit dem Auto nach Greenwich und mit dem Wassertaxi ins Zentrum... Wir waren uns schon auf der Rückfahrt einig, dass wir wieder kommen. ...see you soon... ;0)

Rundum zufrieden.

Schöne Landschaft. Ruhiges Umfeld. Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Vermieter. Zentraler Punkt, wer den „Garten Englands“ besichtigen möchte. Mit vielen Besichtigungsmöglichkeiten der Gärten und Parks in der Umgebung (Sussex und Kent), vielfach in weniger als einer Stunde zu erreichen.
