The apartment features two huge living areas with flat screen TV, dining area, and fully-equipped kitchen with all the appliances. This classic property is located in the heart of the city within the Golden Square of the Eixample neighborhood. Walking distance to Plaça de Catalunya, Passeig de Gracia, and Passeig Sant Joan.



The Space:

Welcome to this 185 m2 spacious and bright flat in a historical building located next to the emblematic centre of Barcelona, Plaça Catalunya. Enjoy huge amounts of space in this modern, bright and cozy flat. Explore the city and come back to the apartment resting on a quiet and comfortable home away from home.



This huge apartment features two living areas across the space, each of them with their own dinning table, one of them located by an amazing gallery that faces the interior building patio. You’ll also find everything you need to prepare a meal in the well-equipped kitchen. All the appliances are modern and easy to use.



⚠️ VERY IMPORTANT Please note the apartment is located in a residential building, where neighbors live here all year around and it is our obligation to respect their rest. Walls are very thin and other residents of the building very sensitive to noises. Please make sure before confirming your reservation you can adhere to the simple House Rules that are detailed below. Failure to accept and follow those will result on a monetary sanction and eviction from the property with no refund for the remaining nights.

The Neighborhood:

This apartment is conveniently placed near Diagonal avenue and not far from the city centre. Diagonal was originally projected by engineer and urban planner Ildefons Cerdà as one of the city's wide avenues, which along with Avinguda Meridiana would cut the grid he designed for l'Eixample. Both would meet at Plaça de les Glòries Catalanes, which Cerdà envisioned as the new city centre. However, Plaça Catalunya, equally a new addition to the city of Barcelona, and connecting Ciutat Vella and Eixample, and therefore occupying a more privileged position in the urban area, would finally become the centre.



Getting Around:

The closest metro station is Diagonal (Lines 3 & 5).

The quickest way to go to the airport would be taking the train towards "Aeroport" at Passeig de Gracia. There are trains every 20min and it costs around 5€.



Other Things to Note:

*** TOURIST TAX & REGISTRATION PROCESS ***



- Since 2012 the Catalan administration requires that every guest staying in a hotel room or renting an apartment in Catalunya contributes with a small city tax fee of 9.50€ per guest (over 17 years old) per night up to a maximum of 7 nights. This cost IS NOT included on your reservation.



- National and International police demand that each guest, prior to their visit to Barcelona, would send information of their IDs or passports. This is mandatory, as it is stated in Catalan Law, and all legal touristic establishments are required to do so.



- This apartment uses a self-checkin system via the Chekin platform that will allow you to register all guests on the reservation

and pay the mandatory tourist taxes before your arrival.

Check-in time is at 17:00 hrs



Check-out is at 11:00 am (non-agreed late check-outs will incur on a 100€ charge per hour late)



*** HOUSE RULES ***



1. Parties, drugs, loud noise or any kind of disturbance towards the neighbors are completely forbidden, with a penalty of 400€ and possible eviction

2. Please observe quiet time between 10pm - 9am.

3. Respect your neighbors and be respectful in common areas (hallways, entrance, elevator, stairs).

4. Loss of keys will have a 100€ charge per key lost.

5. Smoking on interior areas will have a charge of 100€ + all cleaning fees involved.

6. Guests take full responsibility for any accidents, injuries or illnesses that occur while on the premises or its facilities.

7. Please leave the apartment in a respectable condition.



Not following those rules will incur on a monetary sanction and the full responsibility of any fines from the local administration or authorities.

Our stay at this property in Barcelona was generally good in terms of space and location, especially since we were a group of 15 people. The apartment was large enough to accommodate all of us, and the overall atmosphere was pleasant.However, a major downside was that it was located on the 5th floor with no elevator. Going up and down was extremely exhausting, especially with luggage and such a large group. This made the experience much less comfortable and at times quite difficult.What made this even more frustrating was that this detail was not mentioned anywhere in the listing. The management did not inform us in advance, which felt misleading and unfair.Additionally, the cleanliness and service were not up to expectations. The bedsheets were not changed at all during our 4-night stay, and only one towel per person was provided (for the body), with no separate towels for the face.If you don’t mind climbing stairs, it could still be a good option, but for large groups or anyone with heavy bags, this is a serious drawback.

Regarding the elevator, the building is equipped with one; however, it was unfortunately out of service during your stay. This is part of the building’s shared facilities and outside of our direct control, but the issue was reported to the building management for repair. We understand this may have been inconvenient, especially for a large group. Concerning linens and towels, as this is a short-term rental and not a hotel, we provide a full set per guest at the beginning of the stay. Additional changes or supplies can always be arranged upon request. We’re sorry to hear that the cleanliness did not fully meet your expectations, as this is not the standard we aim to provide, and we will review this point with our team. We appreciate your comments, which help us continue improving the experience for future guests.

The location and size/amenities are all great (amazing actually). However....the property management company/owner of this property DESPERATELY need to put some money into repair and upkeep. The walls/ceilings are peeling, marks are all over the walls or paint chips missing from nearly every room and hallway. Much of the bedding has stains or marks on it- some of which looked like old blood. Half of the refrigerator's shelves are broken/cracked. The electrical box had 2 fuses flip while we were there- easy fix but annoying when in the middle of cooking something or trying to take a shower and suddenly the hot water and microwave all suddenly shut off. The location is world class though as is the neighborhood its in.

We strongly disagree with these claims. The apartment is well maintained, clean and fully functional. Bedding and appliances are in good condition and there were no electrical issues during your stay. If you connect too many devices at once like all the air conditioners plus other appliances, it’s normal for the breakers to trip. It was a simple fix to check the fuse boxes and reset them. We take care to provide a safe and comfortable space and this feedback is unfounded.

Great Apartment and location

Really well located and a great property for large groups. We needed more keys and these were brought over quickly, as well as someone to look at the aircon units as the living room unit didn’t work, but we could open windows and get a good breeze. Important to note that one room doesn’t have AC. There’s no kettle which was annoying but we made do with a pot on the stove!

Great crash pad for a friends weekend away

Overall great. Apartment is old, but functional. It’s clean to a reasonable standard, ie it didn’t feel dirty, but it’s by no means immaculate. Enough towels provided, Washing machine is useful, AC works. Property manager great. Digital lock system works well. The price is fair but you will get an extra charge for tourist tax and city charge which isn’t listed (to be fair it’s not the owner who is charging this). For us a group of 11 men in town for the formula 1 it was a great find. Overall happy. Things to make it better -basics that don’t expire eg - coffee machine filters, salt, pepper oil. 2 we got a message telling us the cleaning crew was behind and we couldn’t get into the apartment till later than expected on day of checkin. These things happen but a gesture of something would have been appropriate ans compensation, Especially give that checkin was at 5pm. If I was planning the same trip again, I would re book the apartment. Thanks

Three Generations

Our family celebration (ages 18 - 80) at Calle Bruc 136, was a great success. Communication as the date of arrival approached was perfect. Victor was extremely responsive and someone was waiting for us when we arrived. At one point one of the air conditioners failed, but pleasant Mauricio had everything up and running again. The location was beautiful, however the floors throughout the apartment were extremely dirty, not dusty, but black grime. The loose tile in the front twin bed room was an accident waiting to happen. The furniture in the living areas was dated. Overall, I would recommend a stay here if there were assurances that the floors had been thoroughly cleaned and the sitting areas were updated.

Not what it seems in the pics

My recent experience here was disappointing. The photos online didn't match the actual condition of the place. The furniture looked old and uncared for, the sheets were dirty, one of the fridge smelled like something died in it and the apartment seemed overdue for renovations. The only positives were its convenient location and the host's prompt communication. However, given its current state, the price doesn't seem justified. Until improvements are made, I'd suggest considering other options in the area.

Nightmarish check-in

First impressions are everything in vacation rentals. A well-located, spacious, comfortable, well-equipped accommodation means nothing if you can't get in the front door. We are a family of eleven: six adults and five teenagers. For nearly 90 minutes we sat, tired and hot in a stifling stairwell while multiple adults and tech-savvy teenagers attempted to open the front door of Carrer del Bruc 136. We engaged the hosts multiple times by text and voice, begging for someone to come to the apartment and let us inside. All we got back were assurances that the access system ("Chekin" which uses a cumbersome, rotating combination lock) was in working order. Finally, one of the host staff admitted that the calibration for the "final integer" might be a "little more at 11 o'clock rather than 12 o'clock." With that admission, we were able to get it. One other time in our four days we had to work at the combination for twenty minutes before success, but throughout our stay, we closed the door each time fearful that we wouldn't be able to get back in. This was on top of five separate communications from the host before our arrival that we would need either "physical keys", virtual access by our phones only if standing directly in front of the access door, or a digital keypad. None of those were the reality. One of our family said, "I open combination locks for a living and this is the worst I have ever seen." Now, for the apartment itself. The first night, the air-conditioning in four of the five bedrooms did not work properly; three kicked on during the night. The electrical load for the A/C proved too much for the apartment system causing the circuit breakers to trip constantly. One small bedroom had no A/C and its window was painted shut. Despite a fan, it proved unusable for two teenage girls. The apartment is charming, in a good neighborhood with multiple good restaurants and walking proximity to the principal Barcelona attractions. The host is apparently a big company with no, one, responsible person, but they provided good, prompt communications throughout the booking process, right to the point of failing the welcome by getting these eleven, tired and hot clients through the front door.

Emplacement idéal mais équipements insuffisants

L emplacement de l’appartement est idéal, à 20 minutes de tous les endroits connus de Barcelone. Néanmoins un appartement pour 12 personnes avec peu de couverts, verres, bol et assiettes etc. Ainsi que le dessous des tables pas très propres. Un nombre de serviettes de toilette tout juste également. Une note positive mais à améliorer.
