We loved our stay here! This traditional dutch home has a beautiful canal view in the heart of old Giethoorn and all the amenities and comforts of home ……and even a traditional dutch breakfast awaits. The main guest apartment is on the upper floor requiring one to navigate a steep dutch staircase. But once there, everything we needed for a comfortable stay was there, including a well equipped kitchen. We felt very well taken care of by our hosts and would very much plan to stay here again. Many thanks, Janny!

We had a lovely stay at this cozy apartment in Giethoorn! Every morning, we enjoyed fresh rolls from the Tonckenskamer, which added a charming touch to our mornings, The canoe was a fantastic way to explore the beautiful canals right in front of the accommodation, The location is perfect, with a supermarket and great restaurants within walking distance, The apartment itself was well-equipped and had a warm, inviting atmosphere, Highly recommend it for families or friends looking for a peaceful getaway!

Fabulous place to enjoy this lovely town

The apartment was amazing! It is located right in the heart of South Giethoorn (where all the good stuff is!), with ice cream and treats just two houses down, several restaurants very close by, and also very close to the historical sites and boat rentals. The beds were comfortable, the kitchenette had everything we needed (although we mostly ate out), and the views from the patio and upstairs windows were amazing. Breakfast was delicious, fresh, and more than enough for us. There were even some snacks in the apartment for those in-between times. The shower was great and plenty hot, and the bathroom had two sinks and a separate toilet space. The best part, though, was the owners Janny & Koen. They were so kind and thoughtful. I was there not just for vacation but also to learn about my local family history, and Koen helped me find information online that I had not seen before. Janny and I could have sat and talked for days, and she gave great recommendations for restaurants and shops. She even made to-go breakfast when we were leaving for the train in the morning. It was also unusually hot weather when we stayed, and they not only showed us where three fans were, but also gave us a fourth one to use. I couldn't have had a better experience, and I am grateful for my new Dutch friends!
