Gorgeous apartment with terrace 20 meters from Piazza Duomo with breathtaking views of the splendid dome of the Church of the Badia di Sant'Agata and the Duomo. In a historic building of the eighteenth century (with elevator) located in the heart of Baroque Catania and with entrance on the elegant Via Etnea. The apartment consists of two bedrooms, a living room with a double sofa bed, two full bathrooms, kitchen and fabulous terrace.

We had a very nice stay in this apartment. It is an amazing location right on the main downtown street. Fabio was great to work with and the apartment was comfortable. The terrace was a plus on pleasant evenings. Our only concerns were that the kitchen is quite small, and because it is in a popular area, you can often hear buskers in the evening playing music outside. It did not keep us awake but we could imagine it might bother someone.

Fabio was terrific and a great help to us. It was a very fun experience for our three days in Catania. The apartment is very centrally located to all the sites. Lots of GREAT restaurants and bars. Bohème bar was our favorite.

Wonderful location!!!! Everything was within walking distance. The accommodations were comfortable and charming. Lovely views of Catania and Mt Etna from the terrace and bedrooms. Our host, Fabio, was friendly and flexible. We hope to come back!

We had a lovely stay in Catania. We were adjacent to the main square which was very easy to access. Even though the square was loud, things were quiet once things were shut. Our balcony was lovely. We were able to have our coffee and dinner out there when we were home. Kitchen extremelly small but we had what we needed. Instructions for everything were included in the welcome package. It was very thorough and much appreciated. Hosts response was very quick and complete. Thanks for a lovely stay.

This is a terrific apartment with a view of the volcano. The unit is clean, with all appliances working well and with prompt and useful advice from Fabio, a great host. Catania is an edgy city with wonderful food, a vibrant night life and fascinating history. It is a easy train ride away from Siracusa and Taormina. Will greatly recommend the apartment.

Great location! Centrally located to all attractions! Great gelato, pastries and trattorias right outside door! So much shopping! Apartment was perfect in all ways…clean, comfortable beds, large bathrooms, fully furnished kitchen with cookware, dishes. And as a bonus great terrace! Fabio was an amazing host!

Terrace apartment near Duomo.

We stayed 5 nights. Good location with comfortable furniture and beds. Kitchen amenities could be improved for those wanting to cook an evening meal - a sharp knife and kitchen towels (or use paper towels but more waste). View of Mt. Etna is good as is watching the hundreds of swallows. Duomo bells are loud but not bothersome and they aren’t active through the night. There was an event in the nearby piazza which had loud music until around 11. We would stay here again next time we are in Catania.

Catania living is great!

We just spent an entire week at the Badia Terrace apartment and it was marvelous. The outside terrace truly lived up to its name. It was large and nestled in between the Badia church and residential units. Fabio made everything so easy upon check in and our stay with various texts showing how everything worked in the apartment (Italian appliances do take getting used to) and things to do in the neighborhood and beyond. And, I will add that the neighborhood was beyond our expectations. Tons of restaurants, bars, and shopping. We highly recommend this place and would not hesitate to rent it again when we come back to Catania.

A Jazzy Little Number ;)

My husband and I and a friend stayed for 4 nights in February '25. It was fantastic. Fabio was fantastic. When self-catering there are always questions about disposing of the garbage, getting groceries, where to eat, how to run the washing machine etc. Fabio provided excellent instructions, a good sense of humour, an appreciation of jazz (not necessary for a good VRBO host, but a definate plus!) and most wonderfully, a gem of an apartment. Each of the bedrooms was roomy with a comfortable bed and good linens, and surprisingly quiet given the central location.Neither bath was ensuite, but both were very clean and looked to be very newly constructed. The plumbing worked! (temperature can fluctuate as the in-line water heater cycles, be nimble, don't be alarmed) The showers both had good water pressure, functioning hand-helds and overhead rain shower fixtures. The towel warmers worked! The kitchen is good for reheating take away, making small meals, salads, etc. The View! Wowzers! The location is excellent. The small lift worked like a charm. In 9 trips to Italy this was one of the very best host/ apartment combos I have experienced. Fabio obviously takes great pride in his rental.There are some buskers near the entrance to the courtyard of the building. It was lovely to sit on the terrace and listen to the music and the hum of the city drifting upwards.You are in the heart of Catania, and this apartment invites you to become part of the heartbeat.Grazie mille Fabio!

We thoroughly enjoyed our four night stay. The apartment is perfectly located, on the main square. We could walk to the many great restaurants and the two markets with ease. The restaurant below was great for take out meals, coffee and pastries. But the terrace is the outstanding feature. We had our meals there sipping local wine. In the morning, you get a good view of Mt. Etna. Fabio is an amazing host. His guide is very detailed and includes videos on how to use the appliances, as well as info on tours and restaurants. He answered any of our questions quickly. My only very minor comment is that the kitchen is quite small- perfect for breakfast and lunch, but it would be a bit of a challenge to make a full dinner. But why bother, when you have such great restaurants so close by.

Sehr schöne FeWo mit Dachterrasse

Der Aufenthalt war sehr gut. Die FeWo mit Balkon zum Innenhof liegt in zentraler Lage von Catania. Einkäufe, Restaurants, Schnellimbiss, Theaterbesuche (Bellini Theater) sind in max. 10 min. erreichbar. Die Kommunikation mit der Hausverwaltung Herr Fabio Desiderio war bestens.
