A very comfortable couple of nights, in beautiful countryside with amazing views

The cottage is very spacious and comfortable, and very well-equipped. The atmosphere is relaxed, and Harriet is an excellent host. Perfect weather, the company of old friends, and a delightful litter of puppies all helped make this stay so special.

Het was een geweldig verblijf voor twee dagen en nachten. Super aardige host Harriet. We kwamen helemaal tot rust in deze fijne cottage. Aandachtspunt is wel dat het huis vrij stoffig was (overal aan de balken spinnerag). En ondanks dat de aankleding mooi is en heel gezellig, liet de kwaliteit van het bed nogal te wensen over. Het bed was vrij kort (Nederlanders zijn gemiddeld langer) en redelijk doorgezakt zacht / ouder matras (bij zwaardere personen) en de slaapkamer boven in het huis was gewoon erg warm ‘s nachts. Wellicht het dak toch beter isoleren of anders airconditioning overwegen. De houten vloeren zijn authentiek en gehorig maar dat vonden wij juist wel charme hebben. Badkamer prachtig en schoon. Keuken goed compleet. Wasmachine dankbaar gebruik van gemaakt. TV aan de kleine kant. Bank in woonkeuken vrij doorgezakt en je kon merken dat deze cottage ook honden toelaat. Al met al goede herinneringen aan dit verblijf maar net even teveel kleine dingen die wij minder vonden waardoor we een andere keer in die omgeving van Watchet toch een ander huisje zouden boeken. Voor wandelaars is dit een adembenemend mooie omgeving. Deze host heeft nog een tweede cottage meer bungalow achtig op begane grond andere kant; wellicht zijn daar de voorzieningen net wat nieuwer en beter?

Wonderful

We had 3 nights here and I wish we had stayed longer. It was comfortable, clean, well equipped and Harriet has made it a charming space to spend time in. The view is stunning. Harriet and family were friendly and welcoming to us and our dog. There are great walks from the farm and we thought the whole package of location and accommodation was wonderful. We will definitely stay again.
