Lovely place

Quiet place away from the hustle and bustle Very comfy beds Excellent usage of space I would recommend and stay again.

Great place to stay

This property as with many in Whitby is not without its quirks (low beams inside, worn uneven steps leading up to the property) but this is why we love Whitby and see it as charm and character. This property has everything you need being well presented clean, comfortable, and just a sort stroll into town. The parking is a massive bonus as anyone trying to park in Whitby on a bank holiday will know, especially if you are told about the sort cut back to the property by foot. There is only one key, if you are going out separately this can be a problem, so don't forget to leave the key in the key safe (lesson learnt). I will be checking availability of Harbour Mist cottage for our next stay in Whitby.

The cottage and location are perfect for Whitby. Our only issue was sizing of the bedrooms and how tight the bedroom with the twin beds was and how close to the ceiling, you basically had to be hunched over. The listing describes the bedroom as large and spacious. My 6 foot three son-in-law and my 6 foot husband did not think it was large enough. We had bets on who would bonk their head the most. My husband won with three head bunks that being said, the kitchen was gorgeous. The shower downstairs was fabulous. The upstairs bathroom was a bit tight and needs a lock, but we enjoyed our stay immensely and Whitby is beautiful. Thanks for hosting us

We understand how the sloped ceilings can be a challenge for taller guests, and we’re sorry that caused a few bumps along the way — though your “head-bonk competition” gave us a smile! We'll also take another look at the listing description to make sure it sets clearer expectations, and the suggestion for a bathroom lock is noted and very helpful.
