GARDENERS COTTAGE - Sleeps 4
Gardeners Cottage is a delightful Holiday Cottage in the heart of the Glenmuick Estate The cottage has been tastefully decorated throughout and provides an ideal base from which to explore Royal Deeside.

The cottage has two bedrooms (1 double and 1 Double/twin) with 1 bathroom and a delightful open plan kitchen/sitting room. The open plan reception room has cosy log burner and the sitting room area has a Freeview TV with DVD player. The cottage also has WiFi.

The Kitchen is well equipped with:
•electric oven and hob
•fridge
•freezer
•kettle
•microwave
•dishwasher

Heating is provided throughout the property and there is an adjacent drying room with washing facilities if required.

All linen, towels are provided along with a supply of logs.

Perfect place fot a family or anybody who wants to be in the nature and with a beautiful village minutes away. The sound of sheep and if birds the minutes you step out. The view is breath taking

Cottage is in an excellent location with great walks and cycling routes. Quiet location however Ballater within walking distance. Weather fabulous and great restaurant in Ballater - The Fish Shop

Beautiful place to stay

We loved our stay in Gardeners cottage. Beautiful location, and close to Ballater. We enjoyed the peaceful environment, close to Balmoral, and lovely accommodation. The process was easy and all was exactly as described and clean.

Cosy winter stay in cairngorms

Comfortable, clean and cosy lodgings on a pretty estate surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. Great walks nearby and good food in the village. Would recommend.

Another great visit

Our second visit and was a great trip again. Cottage is excellent very warm and cozy and very clean. Location amazing on the estate and short walk into Ballater. Great walking locally or close by.

A great cottage out in the woods on a massive estate. Great for hikes or whatever nature activity you would like. Just a few miles from Balmoral Castle and less than a mile from Ballater. Great for someone that just wants to get away. Only negative thing that I would say is that the bathroom is thru the main door and in front of a bunch of exposed windows with no curtains or blinds. At night, that makes for an unusual experience but still OK. Great cabin all in all.

This was the perfect cottage! If you are looking for an authentic Scottish experience, this is it. The grounds were beautiful to walk and the town was a short, 10 minute walk away with plenty of food options including a great little grocery store. The cottage was cozy, and well stocked. It was chilly while we were there but the wood stove heated up the entire cottage. Getting there was easy and quick, and the location couldn’t be beat. If anyone in your party has a hard time with stairs, the ones in the cottage are a bit steep but there aren’t many of them. We will definitely be returning!

Beautiful stay in a lovely cottage

We loved our stay at Gardener’s Cottage. It looks an out over the main house and the hills beyond - the views are stunning. The house is cosy and had everything we needed. The housekeeper was super helpful with everything. Highly recommended.

Great base for Cairngorms

This property was exactly as expected and really good value. The location is lovely and really convenient for hiking, mountain biking and all the area has to offer. Ballater is very close (less than 10 min cycle). Interior is exactly as in the photos. Plenty of space for boots, coats etc. Comfortable beds with lovely linen.

quiet propertyBallater stay

The property is a little out of the village in a quiet location. The main house was not rented out whilst we were there. As we prefer a quiet location this was ideal for us. Great views from the bedroom windows. The downstairs views slightly blocked by a wall

Beautiful, tranquil spot to get away from city life. Estate was a gorgeous example of Scottish Nature yet close enough to be able to walk into town. The cottage was the perfect size for 4, and the internet worked fantastic. The only draw back was the weak signal for tv; we could only get 1 channel in with any regularity. But this isn't the type of place you would sit and just watch tv anyways so we didn't care. The host was responsive with our questions prior to staying and the overall experience was great.

Fab location with stunning views

Great location just South of Ballater on Glenmuick estate. Enjoyed being wakened by the wildlife rather than planes. Not sure if the cottage is haunted but was wakened at 3am on the first night by creaking stairs. Anyway didn’t detract from our stay. Cottage is in need of upgrading e.g. ancient shower and paintwork in need of attention. That may concern some people but did not detract at all from our stay. Overall would recommend a stay here for a few nights if you like activities in spectacular countryside and some peace and quiet.

Die Unterkunft liegt zentral und man kann von dort zu vielen tollen Unternehmungen starten. Tolle Landschaft, Castles und andere schöne Orte. Man kann direkt von der Unterkunft zum Cairn Leuchan hochwandern. Ballater ist ein sehr schöner Ort.
