Une véritable expérience de cabane en rondins

La famille Moody pour laquelle Moody Hollow est nommé a construit Adanayla au début du milieu des années 1950. Nous aimons l'histoire et les ressources naturelles des Appalaches du Sud et cet amour se reflÚte dans le décor de la cabane. La plupart des antiquités de la cabine datent du 19e siÚcle des régions des Appalaches du Tennessee, de la Géorgie et de la Caroline du Nord. Bien que la cabine puisse avoir plus d'un demi-siÚcle, tous les appareils, la plomberie et l'électricité sont neufs. Nous sommes maintenant heureux de pouvoir partager ce lieu magique avec les autres. Adanayla est une cabine acceptant les animaux domestiques et des frais uniques par animal seront ajoutés si vous amenez votre ou vos chiens.

Une chambre, la tĂ©lĂ©vision (films uniquement) et laveuse / sĂ©cheuse sont tous en bas. N'oubliez pas qu'il n'y a pas de connexion Wi-Fi ou par satellite dans cette cabine. Soyez prĂȘt Ă  vous dĂ©brancher et Ă  vous dĂ©tendre! L'accĂšs au rez-de-chaussĂ©e se fait par le porche grillagĂ© et en bas des escaliers extĂ©rieurs. Assurez-vous de prendre la clĂ©!

Faits intéressants La cabine est perchée à plus de 2000 pieds au-dessus du niveau de la mer, mais juste en haut de la route est le point culminant de la Géorgie, Brasstown Bald, qui culmine à 4784 pieds! Le ruisseau High Shoals qui traverse Moody Hollow a été une source de reproduction pour l'omble de fontaine indigÚne.

Faites une promenade sur la route le long du ruisseau jusqu'à la derniÚre porte. Vous arriverez à un petit début de sentier privé. Suivez ce sentier et il vous mÚnera aux magnifiques chutes Upper et Lower High Shoals et à un éperon du sentier des Appalaches. Les chutes sont à seulement 15 minutes à pied de la cabane!

Moody Hollow est nichĂ© dans la forĂȘt nationale de Chattahoochee qui couvre plus de 750 000 acres! Les nombreuses criques et ruisseaux Ă  proximitĂ© abritent certaines des meilleures pĂȘcheries de truite de GĂ©orgie ainsi que l'une des plus grandes espĂšces de salamandres de la planĂšte.

Host was excellent. The cabin was cozy and nice. It would be great if it had more heating elements available though. It was uncomfortable at night even with various blankets.

We brought our dog with us and he seemed to enjoy himself as well. You can hear the creek running from the screened in back porch and it's very calming. Beds were comfortable and we found everything we needed while there. If you have old enough children, they can have the downstairs to themselves and you can still check on them from the upstairs hallway where there is a grate in the floor to communicate, our kids loved having their own space! Would definitely stay at this cabin again! Georgia Mountain Rentals is the ONLY company we will book with, they truly treat their guests like family and it doesn't go unnoticed.

Great stay, but...one significant complaint with the bill

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Adanayla cabin was great. But...I stayed for three nights and almost 40% of the total cost was all overhead & additional fees. So, the cabin ended up being much more expensive. I left the cabin in immaculate condition & I don't feel like I should have been charged $144 for cleaning fees. I ended up doing the dishes, stripping all the sheets, etc. I'm not sure what the cleaning lady did, but it certainly wasn't $144 worth of work. I probably will not rent a property from GMR again just because all of the additional fees & unnecessary charges. Cleaning fees should only be charged for extended stays &/or if the cabin actually needs cleaning after the stay.

Comfy Stay with Quality Touches

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very nice. Attentive management gave accurate directions, and made sure we had everything we needed before and after arrival. Quiet, cozy place with quality cookware and comfortable beds. Nice short hikes to waterfalls. Note: It was cold when we arrived and takes a while to heat the place up, but seems to hold the heat well once warmed. Shampoo is not included and stores are a few miles away so be sure to stop for groceries, etc before arrival.

Oktoberfest experience

We stayed in the house just to sleep after a long day of touring Helen and wineries. It was as hard to find the location where address says, we end up asking neighbors where it’s at . The cabin was quiet but due to age , it had musty odor. The basement room was not too secure for everyone as it’s totally separated and requires key to get upstairs. Overall the weekend stay was ok .

Very, very old

This rental needs a lot of work. It was really clean inside but the outside deck is awful and the outside windows and screens need desperately to be cleaned. We had a hard time getting past the odor and I guess what is just mold and age. The location is great and we loved the creek running close by. Probably won't stay here again. WAY OVER PRICED for the rental quality.

Nice place and great location for outdoor activities

Overall, my group and I had a good time at this cabin. The cabin was supplied with everything you need and was clean. It's also in a great location for outdoor enthusiasts. The neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors are spread out. One of the better waterfalls in Georgia is also a close walk from the cabin. The only downsides were there's really no yard and the downstairs bedroom/tv room is a little claustrophobic. Kids may get a little bored, so just bring tablets/books/games for them. The gas fireplace wasn't working and maintenance responded quickly to try to fix it, but were unable to. Cell service is very limited in the area, however the cabin has wifi. If you don't mind a slight rustic feel to your accommodations, then you'll enjoy this cabin like we did.
