Perfect for a one night stop whilst walking the Coastpath a 5 minute walk from bus stop, pubs etc.

Smaller than expected but useful. Easily walkable into porthleven harbour - 5mins max. Wonderful restaurants, pubs and shops in the beautiful town.

Beautiful studio in a lovely location. perfect size for us plus one small dog. Very clean and everything was thought of including providing all the essentials that one would need.

The Hideaway is a perfect bolthole for a few days away.

I booked at the very last minute ( day before) and everything was ready for me on my arrival. The studio has everything you could need ( except for a bread knife!) for your stay. It’s spotlessly clean, cosy warm and the bed is so comfy. Porthleven is beautiful and more especially so in early Spring when it’s lovely and quiet. I’d fully recommend.

A great place for a getaway! Small cute studio with everything you didn’t know you needed.

Great studio with everything you could possibly need. Access to the property was nice and easy and walking into the local town was a few minutes away. The studio itself was lovely and clean very comfortable.

TV. Bed was surprisingly, quite comfortable. But you have to put cushions from the seat at the headboardyour pillows dissappear.

Directions on three little words & instructions were a nightmare in dark & rain, summer evening would have been easier, but smallest sign, hidden pathways covered with rubbish, we arrived 715 didn’t find till 8.30 , to make things worse wasn’t wheel chair accessible, so took even longer, hopefully this will help you advertise to other guests, we feel we were totally miss sold and had hardly any sleep and had to take extra medication, Advertising for fit and able guests be better, prepared to clean on arrival & departure, also sink is a no go so brush teeth & shave in shower, please advertise as is so people aren’t disappointed, such a shame as so looked forward to it, I believe we have been miss sold & even told Emma I was disabled, I believe we are entitled to money back as so many things were not explainedavoided, as a host I would want honest feed back ,Advertisement misleading, sorry . Look forward to hearing back from you with honest feedback, please. No parking when advertised! Lack of details in description! Roof window let’s in cat etc. Bathroom unusable to brush teeth & shave. Couldn’t unpack! No storage, Had to leave coats , shoes , blankets , rain clothes wellies in car! Had to leave box of food in car aswell, Also bed was really a challenge to pull down so once down stayed down, so even more challenging to get about. Neighbours blocking path with rubbish Had to clean on arrival, Would appreciate your feed back,

Hi Joanne, Thank your feedback. We have had several discussions via email & on the phone so were surprised to see this review. We are sorry you found the directions difficult we will try &this for future guests. The rubbish is collected by the council every Wednesday morning We are unable to supervise this as the lane in question is a public right of way. It does state in the description the the property is not wheelchair friendly. It states that parking can be found in Thomas Terrace & Thomas Street & is free of charge. Cats can be a bit of a challenge but there is not a lot we can do about this I am afraid. A luggage rack is provided, as is a 5 draw chest so clothes can be stored. The property provides coat hooks on the wall & shoes can be placed on the black mat which will also hold wellies. We are very sorry the clean was not up to standards & would have loved to address this straight away the owners phone number is in the property & if you had rang they would have been straight there and sorted out the issues. We are very sorry the stay was not up to your standards but hope this wouldn't put you off booking a more wheelchair friendly property with us in the future. Best wishes, Finest Retreats

Het verblijf is over algemeen wel meegevallen. Porthleven is fantastisch!!! Aanrader!!

De accomodatie was heel nieuw, recent en een heel goed uitgeruste keuken. De studio ligt kort bij de haven, supermarkt, cafeetjes en restaurants. Ruime frigo. Ik denk, ideaal en romantisch voor een jong paar. De accomodatie was (heel) klein. Kleine keuken en eten op barkrukjes. Bed is voor ons te smal en als je t uittrok, kon je niet gemakkelijk nog ergens door. Ook een probleem : geen gordijnen of blinds of beschutting tegen zon. Tamelijk klaar tijdens de nacht!! Terras(je) is gelegen in kleine doorgang waar men ook de vuilbakken buitenzet. Wij hoopten voor deze prijs een groter verblijf te vinden met betergelegen terras met zicht op de haven of zo.

Wonderful stay, family were all staying close, such a nice little walk to the harbour.

It was a bit hard to find on google maps, kept sending us around the block. Might be easier if the hideaway sign was facing the street instead of tucked in the little alley

The location was perfect and exceptional for the price! The room was absolutely spotless and very comfortable. We had some lovely biscuits left for us when we got there and the kitchen was filled with condiments and other things such as milk. The only critique I have is the parking situation as we did have to drive around to find a suitable space.

Such a wonderful little place, put together incredibly well with a great finish. The host had provided a few items like milk and fresh cornish strawberries in the fridge. There were even bathroom items like toothpaste and brushes incase you had forgotten your own. A really good electric shower as well. Could not have asked for much more Would like a set of blinds either side of the front door as the light comes straight in, in the morning. Obviously not an issue in winter but in the summer it gets you up early

Porthleven stay

Very cute bijou studio apartment, hidden away between other character properties. Easy to walk down to harbour for potter round, shop, eat or drink out or just sit and watch the tide and people go by. Very well equipped and immaculately clean.

Location was perfect, easy access to the centre of Porthleven & also great walk around Loo Pool. Nothing to dislike & will definitely consider returning to this Studio apartment.

Perfect in every way

The Hideaway provided everything we needed for a relaxing break - a comfy bed, lovely shower room, a well equipped kitchen and everything spotlessly clean. We loved that within a few minutes we could be strolling along the beach or wandering around the harbour. Parking was easily found nearby. Porthleven is ideally situated for exploring The Lizard and Lands End peninsulas.
