We are glad to welcome you to Villa nona Maria, a special place, surrounded by a flower-filled garden in the tranquility of the village of Minies, in the heart of of Cephalonia island, next to Argostoli.

Villa nona Maria is an architectural jewel designed by a renowned Greek architect and offers maximum comfort to its guests. The spacious 300 square meter Villa overlooks the coastline of the island through wide windows, large verandas, terraces and patios offering an iconic view to the sea.


The Villa boasts a central position on the island, is easily accessible and located close to the aristocratic town of Argostoli, close to many beaches and to the airport, while offering a secluded space for relaxation in the intimacy of the village. Guests can enjoy food and wine excellences in nearby locations, hikes on Mount Ainos, visits to the vineyards, the Botanical Garden of Argostoli, Byzantine churches and archaeological sites – to which we will be happy to guide you! Some of the most beautiful and safe beaches in Greece, the 1000+ natural private pools with crystal clear waters as we call them, are a short drive away.

At Villa nona Maria we are devoted to continuing the legacy of Greek hospitality and bringing-people-together that our nona (the Greek word for “godmother”) Maria practiced throughout her life. -Lavender Guesthouse
The guesthouse of Villa nona Maria offers a double room with a queen sized bed, a private bathroom, a kitchenette and a cozy living room, spacious closets and access to the garden with majestic sea view over a large lavender bush. There is a separate entrance to the guesthouse.

The villa has two foldable guest beds available as well as two baby travel cribs.
