Welcome to Dragonfly Cottage - a well appointed, large 4 bed house at The Bay Filey holiday village. Located near a boules court and within a short walk of the meadows this is a perfect choice for a large or two family holiday.

Enter into the property and use the large storage space for all your coats and shoes, Walk through the large dining room with extended dining table seating 8.

Off the dining room is a WC and ground floor double bedroom - ideal for multi generational family holidays. The other door leads to a large kitchen and lounge area with all the appliances you'll expect for a self-catering break including a large fridge / freezer and spacious lounge / seating area with an additional fridge for all your drinks!

The large kitchen / lounge to the rear of the property has French doors leading to a patio with seating for 9. The lounge area has lovely leather sofas and SMART TV.

Upstairs, the master double bedroom has a TV and an en-suite shower room with rainfall shower. There is a further twin bedroom and a three-bedded room (one single and 2 bunks). The family bathroom has a bath and overhead rainfall shower. Central heating throughout. (note the bathrooms were fully refurbished in 2021)

Parking is available in the resort car park, a mere 1-minute walk from the property.

Dragonfly Cottage is a large pet friendly house and is ideal for a large family with space for 2 dogs!

Dragonfly

6 of us stayed for 3 nights and found it to be a fantastic house, very comfortable indeed. In a lovely quiet location with parking. Only 2 small niggles, wifi was intermittent to smart tv & lack of a bin in upstairs house bathroom. We had a great time, I would recommend Dragonfly.

Great place to stay

We knew nothing about Dragonfly Cottage, this was offered after another company had let us down. The cottage was lovely and it was extremely useful having a ground floor bedroom. Overall the cottage was clean and tidy, just needs a little TLC in places. I would recommend having a blind fitted in the en suite shower room as the sun was blinding in the mornings. Great location and not too far to walk to the on site pub or the beach. Central location for us as we like to visit Filey, Bridlington, Sewerby Hall and Bempton Cliffs. Now we know what the cottage has to offer, depending on who was with us, we would consider booking again. Thank you for sorting out our holiday so quickly.

Second visit to Dragonfly Cottage

We first stayed here just over twelve months ago, a family party of nine guests. Great location, and parking. The beach is a mile away, a consideration if you have lots of clobber to take with you, but a leisurely stroll gets you there. With Hunmanby just across the main road, there are several places to eat, and would recommend all of them, particularly the Piebald Inn (52 different pies!). Further afield obviously Filey itself, good beach and amenities plus Filey Brigg to explore. We felt the property had suffered over the twelve months, as is only obvious when as popular as this must be, but it was in need of a little tlc in places. We would consider a further stay, but would check on comparable property prices beforehand.

A brilliant stay

Grandad 2 daughters 3 grandchildren and 1 content dog. House layout very good. Position on edge great with fantastic walks for dog. Access to beach meant kids on beach most days. Good parking. Indoor pool great facility. Office staff lovely. Bedrooms catered for our needs. Little grass area outside for kids to play safely. One advisory- in this age of multiple devices the WiFi struggled when more than one users on the go. This is the second time we have visited the Bay. A fantastic holiday venue. The weather topped it off. Plenty of places to go Filey is lovely and the classic fish and chips consumed.

Lovely spacious cottage near the front of The Bay. Kitchen well equipped.

We had a very enjoyable stay. The cottage was spacious and well equipped. We reported an issue with the oven which was dealt with very quickly. Very well equipped kitchen with plenty crockery glasses cups etc. We would definitely like to make a return visit

Three generation holiday

Grandparents, parents, auntie and children had all their needs met at Dragonfly Cottage. The Cottage was well equipped for self catering. The lounge area was lovely for gatherings to watch the football or play games. The position was quiet. On site facilities were a 10 minute walk, down to the beach 15 minutes. Altogether perfect for us and we would definitely like to return.

Lovely property but cleanliness could be improved

Cleanliness could have been improved, thick dust and dirt on the skirting boards and around the shower. Flies were a major issue but nothing in the cottage to kill them off.

Family holiday

We had a fantastic family holiday. The house was spacious enough to accommodate two families. The house was clean and ready early so we could unpack and explore the area. The land to the side of the house was great for the children to play games. The outside furniture was good - it was a bit of a shame that there wasn’t any room for it at the front as this got the evening sunshine. The house was well equipped with utensils and crockery. The complex facilities were well kept and dog friendly. The booking system was easy and the communication was excellent. A thoroughly enjoyably holiday.
