We were just charged 1200 euros and sent a scathing email from the owner. He accused us that we created a floor stain— a stain that we noticed too. He also stated that the house was messy. We never even cooked there! We know how to leave rentals. FYI, we had to wash the towels because they smelled like vomit. There was also an odor in the bathroom. We didn’t complain. The owner also sends a lot of texts prior to the stay making it feel like a burden. We will fight this absurd charge. We warn other travelers!

The charge was based on documented damage, not assumptions. Photos taken immediately after check-out clearly show new stains and damage to the floor that were not present before your stay. When you checked in, you sent me a message saying that you were very happy and that everything looked great. At no point during your stay did you report any concerns about cleanliness, even though I was available to help. After check-out, food packaging and garbage over many days had been left in the apartment, creating an unpleasant odor. The concerns about the apartment were only raised after you were informed about the documented damage and the resulting charge. I therefore stand by the documentation that was submitted.

We really enjoyed this apartment. It's cozy comfortable, quiet and in a great location. It is within a ten minute walk to the National museum, restaurants, two grocery stores and the ferries. Naoual was always available if needed and a very helpful host. Parking is available in a public garage conveniently located within two minutes walk as the area is pedestrian only. Wonderful stay for two people.

Beautiful apartment steps away from the fjord and the restaurants

Lovely one bedroom apartment with everything you need for a short or long stay in beautiful Oslo. The location is perfect as you can walk to all sites and restaurants is a few short minutes. Naoual is a wonderful host who responds immediately to every question. I’d suggest she create a short written description for the method to access the building and apartment, and where to park if you arrive by car. But short of a small bit of confusion mostly on our end, this was the perfect stay

Location, location, location

The apartment was very clean and bright. It was also well equipped. It is located in Tjuvholmen, a modern but quiet part of Oslo. The neighbouring area of Aker Brygge is packed with restaurants and plenty of shopping including a small grocery store (a couple of minutes walk) and a supermarket. A short stroll along the traffic free boardwalk of Aker Brygge brings you to the stop for the 12 tram (Opera House, Munch Museum and Central Station) and the Sculpture Park in the opposite direction. Also, you can get a ferry to the Fram Museum. That ticked all the boxes for us. The host, Naoual, is a charming lady who was very helpful throughout or stay. Communication was always timely and accurate.

Great Apartment in Oslo's Best Neighborhood

Although we loved everything about this apartment the very best thing was the neighborhood. I can’t even say how many restaurants were within easy walking distance plus food stores and shops. The waterfront promenade is so interesting and fun. The museum of modern art is only a few steps away as well as a great coffee and pastry shop. The food was excellent everywhere we tried but we also cooked in the apartment a few times. We were able to walk to the Opera House and Vigeland Park. From the waterfront we took ferries to the Fram Museum and just a ride to various islands in the area. We will definitely want to stay here again when we come back to Oslo. The apartment was modern, clean and well appointed. It had a nice view and comfortable balcony. It’s only about a ten-minute walk from the train station. Check in and out were great and super easy.

The apartment was very clean, comfortable, nicely decorated and had a wonderful balcony. It was very conveniently located only a few minutes walk to the ferries and tram stops as well as restaurants. Communication with our host was excellent. The self check in process was more elaborate than other VRBO places I have rented. It required multiple steps and codes to get entry into the building and apartment, but it worked. Also, remember to keep your phone charged since your house key is an app.
