Hillview House

Hillview House is a beautiful Edwardian residence with period features sleeping up to 9 adults and 2 children in comfort, and is ideally situated in the heart of Minehead, within easy reach of amenities and the stunning waterfront and beach.

Situated on a quiet residential road, the property has driveway parking and a generous enclosed garden, ideal for young children and pets.

A porch entrance takes you inside where there is smart decor, lovely original features and a wonderfully homely feel. With a choice of three reception rooms and a spacious kitchen, there is plenty of family-sized space to relax and socialise.

There are two main living rooms, both with fireplaces and plenty of sofa space to relax and socialise together. The front living space has a beautiful bay window, and the rear living space has double doors out to the patio and garden, where there is outside dining space, relaxing decking area, lawn area and a charcoal barbeque.

The dining room adjoins the kitchen, and has ample space to seat ten guests comfortably at the table, with a highchair available if required.

The kitchen is incredibly well-equipped for all needs, with a large gas range and oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer, wine cooler, and a superb range of kitchenware. There is also a separate utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, and a Belfast sink, and a downstairs WC for convenience.

Up on the first floor, there are four bright and airy bedrooms, all very well furnished with plenty of space. The main bedroom has a double bed, wall mounted television and en-suite shower room with basin and WC. There is then another double room with television, a twin room, and a further single room. The main family bathroom is also on this level, having a large walk-in shower enclosure with rainfall shower head, and a large infant/toddler bath provided.

The second floor offers an excellently flexible large family bedroom, which boasts a double bed and two singles, ideal for children to sleep in with parents.

Locally, the waterfront and town are within easy walking distance, providing a choice of good pubs, restaurants and shops to choose from. Also close by are the coastal towns of Watchet and Porlock, and the picturesque Lynton & Lynmouth connected by the famous Cliff Railway.

Just had an enjoyable February half term week in Minehead.

The location is fantastic for the seafront and high street with nothing ever too far away. The house is much bigger than the pictures make out and it easily fitted in 6 adults, 3 kids and 2 dogs without feeling crampt. The kitchen had plenty of crockery etc. Parking was fine for 3 cars. checkin was easy. Definitely recommend especially for letting the kids have the top floor to enjoy.

Jolly good!

The fact that there were 2 sitting rooms. The decor was understated but pleasant. The gadgetry all worked in a straightforward way except the symbols on the washing machine were a a bit cryptic! We were walking so could have done with a bigger utility room. Another loo&#47bathroom would also have been handy.

Lovely home very comfortable and relaxing, plenty of space and very good location. Only minus couldn't get television to work in back bedroom maybe remote need batteries and would have been great if there was some been lights in the garden but would definitely recommend

Lovely comfortable house

Hillview is a lovely comfortable house right in the centre of Minehead. We had a lovely stay with the extended family and everybody had plenty of space. Hillview is a little tired around some of the edges (stair case to name one) and although bathrooms, bedding and towels were all clean the cooker wasn't (with a dirty grill pan left form the previous renters), the floor in and around the cooker not very clean and the rungs of the hob need a good clean. The dishwasher needed salt and the filters hadn't been cleaned so a lot of the crockery and cutlery in the drawers had ingrained food. Also the information in the folders about bin day was very vague and the bins were full to the brim on our arrival. We phoned to check when the bin day was but didn't get a definitive answer resulting in the bins building up during our stay. But none of this affected the enjoyment of our stay. Thank you.

Beautiful Edwardian house in a lovely location

Close to Minehead promenade, high street and West Somerset Railway steam train railway station. Ideal for a relaxing week with extended family. Well-equipped kitchen. Great bedroom layout. Spacious but cozy traditional feel. Perfect garden for an EEH. Field next-door perfect for a kick around. Lovely walks on Exmoor and the South West Coast path. Nothing :)
