Summary:
Villa Iris is a one off and extremely unique villa, created in the rock face, overlooking the fantastic blue Ionian Sea. Perfect for a restful and peaceful vacation.
Villa Iris is part of a unique sea view project named “Olive Stone Villas”. Located high above the bay of Paleros, surrounded by olive groves, the sea and the quiet beach of Pogonia are within walking distance. The view is stunning with the turquoise Ionian Sea being highlighted by the lush green backdrop of the Acarnanian Mountains.
During the summer months, most time is spent outdoors, and this villa provides the best facilities for this.Sleeps up to 10 people.

The Space:
The highest of the Olive Stone villas, Villa Iris offers a large and spacious area as well as complete individuality.
The main villa has an open plan living/dining area, the total length being glass sliding doors that opening out onto a large balcony which has the centre piece of a mature olive tree. This offers great shade as well as adding to the stylishness of the surroundings.
The living/dining room has spectacular views over the village and beyond to the crystal clear blue waters of the Ionian Sea and the spectacular Acarnanian mountain range. The dining area is spacious with a large table that comfortably seats 8.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the expected kitchen appliances as well as a wine cooler and walk in pantry.
Beyond the lounge is a guest W.C and the entrance to the master bedroom and its ensuite. The master bedroom has a separate W.C, shower and a large shelving area with built in basin. There is plenty of cupboard space along the one wall. The bed area looks out onto its own totally private balcony and beyond, wake up in the morning to be greeted with an amazing sunrise to start the day.
Together with the balcony out from the lounge, there is the 6m x 3m heated pool (upon request) which boasts a sunk seating and table area at one end where an aperitif can be enjoyed whilst relaxing in the water.
Perfectly designed so that surrounding the pool are teak sunloungers and teak table for the holiday tan to be obtained, and large sheltered areas for a respite from the sun.

Below the main villa are 3 guest bedrooms that all have their own individual entrances.
Guest 1 has a double bed, large storage area and ensuite bathroom.
Guest bedroom 2 has two small double beds and plenty of storage.
Guest bedroom 3 has one double bed.
The guest bedrooms. 2 and 3 have a shared bathroom.
In the communal area there is a small kitchen.
Ground level is a large double garage with a lift that goes up to the guest level and the main house.
Ground level also offers a gym.

The guest bedrooms are separate from the main villa and reached either from the lift or external stairs.

The Neighborhood:
Pogonia, a picturesque village located on the west coast of mainland Greece, is situated in a breathtaking backdrop of beautiful and serene vistas and the crystal clear waters of the Ionian sea. Olive trees, vineyards and pine trees extend down to sandy beaches. Local tavernas,cafe and a bakery are within walking distance.
The villa offers an excellent base to be able to explore the neighbouring islands of Lefkada (which boasts some of the top 10 beaches in Europe), Meganissi, Kalamos, Kastos, Atokos and the famous Scorpios island. We thoroughly recommend our rib boat day cruise around the many Ionian Islands as it offers an amazing insight to the many beauties of Greece that are often overlooked. We can book this for you at any time.
4km around the bay you will come along the busy town of Paleros which is a lively alternative to Pogonia. There are tavernas, shops and our own Paleros Yacht club that provides all day entertainment and offers sun loungers and umbrellas to relax under whilst enjoying a drink from the large variety of cocktails that they offer or to dine on the delicious food chosen from an extremely modern and tasty menu. A great place to visit both night and day.

We have our own qualified masseur who is available to come to the villa and give private massages.
