The Barn is a fabulous, stylish and spacious holiday home with an amazing large open plan living space with polished concrete floor, vaulted ceiling, and floor to ceiling windows which is perfect for socialising with family and friends. This area opens onto a lovely outside space with seating area and BBQ and has uninterrupted views across the surrounding fields. Also on the ground floor are two of the bedrooms, both with ensuites. One of the bedrooms has a Super Kingsize zip and link bed giving the option of 2 single beds. Upstairs are two further bedrooms and family bathroom. There is beautiful herringbone oak flooring with an oak stair case and a large galleried seating area with a sofa and two desks offering the ability to use as a study, a quiet reading area or children's play area. The Barn is perfect for families, golfers, cyclists and special celebrations providing a quiet relaxing country home within a short distance of the medieval town of Sandwich and its local pubs, restaurants and independent shops.

Lovely property in great location

Had a lovely stay at The Barn. Good location for visiting the area. We had two dogs with us and the shared garden worked well, but potentially would have been a problem if another dog had been sharing it that didn’t get on well with ours. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds and sofa. Would recommend if visiting Kent

Beautiful barn, perfect for groups and families

The barn was beautiful, stylishly presented and very well equipped for up to 8. Lovely countryside around and easy to get to sándwich, deal, ramsgate and other Kent towns. Lots of bathrooms, nice outdoor space when the weather is good! All in all, a lovely stay and Keepers Cottages were excellent and very responsive. Be good to have better WiFi in the living area but a very small gripe as everything was lovely.

A lovely property which is beautiful decorated in a modern contemporary style. Spacious and lots of room to move about if you are many people. Great location to many of the surrounding small villages and towns.

Beautiful accommodation

Hired the Barn for a 50th birthday celebration, it was the perfect setting. The accommodation is luxurious, modern, spotlessly clean and with all the amenities needed for a short or long stay. I would highly recommend this property.

Fabulous weekend with friends

A group of us came away to have a festive weekend catch-up. The house was stunning, the pictures don’t do it justice. The owners were lovely, they checked in on us and were great at feeding back to me. The facilities in the kitchen and bathrooms are fantastic! Thanks for a great stay!

We found the arrival directions instructions confusing Cocktails pack paid for in advance had not been supplied We had a few irritations, knob on one shower control fell off on first use Dusty under sofas( found when retrieving child’s toys)Very little washing detergentVery little olive oil , salt or pepper all expected. 2 electric sockets in kitchen not working 1 Bed broken, had a poor repair so gave way on first use We noted a few damaged items on arrival :broken front to tray in freezer , paper screen in main bedroom had rips We had one breakage : a glass flute The property worked well however for our combined family needs .Thank you

We just spent the bank holiday weekend in this property. We Highley recomend the barn and well be back in the future. It is supplied with everything we needed. Very clean and comfortable. Great outlook and had the pleasure of sheep and baby lambs in rhe field.

A wonderful place to stay. I will gladly book it again. There needs to be better directions to locate it. The next road west is listed as that street. I ended up going from that place to an address in Canterbury, then back to the property.

Our stay

Amazing property with great open plan living space and outdoor area. Big to and large sofa plus dining table was really impressive. Well equipped kitchen and lots of space for everyone. For the price I do feel the extra charge for an electric charger (which you had to pay every day of the stay) was excessive. My only comment is that with all the glass and black painted exterior the house was too hot- particularly the upstairs bedrooms. Maybe you can look at installing retractable blinds at the top of the glass. It was only 25/26 degrees outside but even with fans on the upper bedrooms were still 25 degrees with the window opening restrictions- way too hot. I noticed the adjacent property has air conditioning (the cooler was in our garden). In summary a perfect home for three seasons a year but wouldn’t come back in July/ august. Thanks, Nick

We are sorry that you found it so warm inside the property. We do supply fans and if all the windows are all open it really does create a lovely draft throughout the property on a summers day. A beautiful spacious modern property in a peaceful location

We loved staying at the barn to celebrate my 70th birthday. We were 6 adults and a child and a baby. We stayed in July 26 when it was extremely hot. Both the living area and the upstairs bedrooms got very hot. We were very grateful for the two tower fans provided but we could have done with two more, so each bedroom had one. We moved them into the living area during the day. We felt that blinds were needed on the very large south west facing windows in the open plan living area. This would have made it much cooler and more comfortable. All the other windows had blinds. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathrooms luxurious! The kitchen was very well equipped with my son even able to bake a cake. The fridge and freezer were both enormous. We discovered that the car charger was available for a small charge and this would be useful in the information file. There was parking for three cars in front of the house. Access to the north along East Street is overgrown and blocked by a gate, so make sure you arrive from the south (Sandwich Road/ Each End). This caught out a supermarket delivery we arranged. We walked to the campsite next door where there is a cafe, playground and walk through animal enclosures (sheep, alpacas, goats, chickens, pigs) and you can buy food for the animals from the campsite shop. We hadn’t stayed in this part of Kent before and we enjoyed exploring Sandwich, Deal ( castle, paddling pool, pier and mini golf) Ramsgate and Broadstairs. We would definitely return.
