The Shires at Alstonefield

The Shires is a beautifully appointed, charming cottage in the heart of the picturesque village of Alstonefield. A warm and welcoming home from home for up to five guests, an ideal base to explore the Peak District and surrounding area.

The cottage comprises three bedrooms, one super king size bedroom with ensuite which can be configured as a twin on request. A second king size/twin room, and a third single bedroom which share a family bathroom. An additional WC can also be found on the ground floor.

As you enter the cottage you are welcomed into the large entrance hall, leading on to a spacious fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, oven, fridge, freezer and microwave, perfect for preparing an enjoyable evening meal. You can dine with family and friends under the wooden beams of the delightful dining room for those special family occasions or take it easy and unwind of an evening with smart TV and Wi-Fi in the lounge for a restful stay.

The Peak District National Park is one of the finest parts of the UK and popular with tourists and adventure-seekers all year round. The area is ideal for cycling - on a road bike, mountain bike or hybrid type. Enjoy the spectacular countryside on quiet lanes and traffic-free trails. Pretty villages, superb views, interesting history, fascinating wildlife and geology - its all here for you to enjoy. Two-off road cycle trails pass within a couple of miles of the property.
