This is a cute apartment perched high up on a hill with dramatic panoramic views of the city, the sea and La Rocca from the huge patio. It looks just as pictured, even better at sunset. The hosts, Mima and Giuseppi, are sweet as can be and eager to help. They don't speak English, but Mima is good with Google Translate. The apartment is clean as a whistle and well-stocked with basic essentials. You should be in decent physical condition as the home is at the top of a long and steep hill, and then once at the building there are 49 steps up to the apartment. Putting that aside, if you pack light (unlike me) it won't be a big problem and the views make the climb worth it. It's a 2 minute walk to the action and 8 minute walk to the train station (get a taxi arriving, though, as the walk is uphill). My taxi driver could not find/get to the exact address so I was a little lost when I arrived but eventually I found it. All in all a nice stay with lovely hosts and highly recommended.

Wir haben den Aufenthalt genossen. Bei Regen ist der Genuss natĂŒrlich eingeschrĂ€nkt. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett, sprechen auch gut deutsch. Das Haus liegt wirklich mitten in der Altstadt. Wenn man die mit Blumen geschmĂŒckte Treppe hinuntergeht, ist man direkt am Corso mitten im prallen Leben mit Restaurants und GeschĂ€ften. Zum Strand wirklich nur 300m. Die Einrichtung ist einfach aber praktisch und sauber. Man kann mit dem Auto hinfahren, aber parken kann man dort nicht. Wir sind 15min bis zum Friedhof gegangen, dort kann man parken.

Wunderschöne Dachterrasse

sehr nette und unkompliziertes Vermieterpaar . Die Terrasse ist riesig mit Aussicht auf die Altstadt das Meer und auf der anderen Seite auf Cevalus Hausberg. In einer Minute ist man mitten in der Altstadt. In 5 Minuten zu Fuß am Strand. Alles perfekt.Nur Parken in Cefalu ist nicht ganz einfach und billig.

Fantastic apartment
..but the steps & stairs

Lived up to the online description. Amazing view and great private patio and outdoor kitchen with everything you need. Comfortable beds and a lovely spotlessly clean bathroom. Right in the centre of all the shops and cafes with only a short walk to the beachfront & promenade with fantastic reasonably priced restaurants. So overall a great place. BUT be aware the steps up to the apartment with luggage will absolutely test your fitness !! Firstly there are about 20 steps to the apartment building, THEN inside 2 flights of stairs plus a set of iron fire escape stairs - but so worth it when you get there! Just pack lighter than we did!!

The large terrace overlooking the sea and sunset was the highlight.Be warned that if you walk from the station through the town there is a very steep hill with steps to climb to the property, and then three flights of stairs inside to reach the apartment.A few more basics such as washing up liquid and a pack of bottled water would have been appreciated as it was quite a walk to the supermarket.

Eine schöne Unterkunft bei schönem Wetter

Traumhafter Blick auf das Meer und den Felsen

Wir waren vier Tage im April dort und hatten sehr schönes Wetter, wenn auch der Wind sehr frisch war. Die Unterkunft ist genau so wie beschrieben. Man lebt und isst auf der Terrasse. Bei Regen und noch kĂŒhleren Temperaturen könnte es etwas ungemĂŒtlich werden, da das Zimmer eine sehr schrĂ€ge Decke hat. Die Vermieter sind ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit, geben gute Tipps, z.B. wo das Auto kostenfrei geparkt werden kann. Die Glockenspiele der beiden Kirchen sind wirklich nett und nicht störend. Nachts ist es still. Cefalu ist eine touristische aber sehr hĂŒbsche kleine Stadt. Einfach schön dort!

The best in Cefalu

It's located right in the heart of the old town, and having a large private rooftop with an amazing view was truly wonderful. The room had everything we needed, and the host was very kind and welcoming, even though we don't speak Italian. Absolutely recommended.

Lovely penthouse apartment in Cefalu

Although a bit challenging to locate by car, this apartment is in a perfect location. Old town is accessible by foot down a short set of stairs. If you enjoy hiking, you can access the beginning of the La Rocca trail almost immediately behind the apartment. The hike is well worth it! There are great views at the summit. The accommodations are very clean and comfortable and Giuseppe and his wife are very kind. The highlight is the large terrace overlooking most of Cefalu. The kitchen is outdoors on the terrace. The bathroom is also on the terrace, outside the bedroom. Parking is not available at the property. However, you can park 10 minutes away by foot in the lot at the train station. The cost is 1 Euro per hour. If you decide to stay at this property, take into consideration that you must climb two flights of stairs to get to the apartment. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this rental property.

Fabulous holiday in beautiful Cefalu

We had such a fantastic holiday in Giuseppe’s apartment in Cefalu. It’s close to all the fabulous restaurants and beach. The pictures really don’t do the terrace justice. So gorgeous watching the sun set over the sea. Giuseppe and his wife were very helpful and generous. We will return with our children.

Wonderful, large rooftop terrace. Very clean and furnished appropriately. Yes there are plenty of stairs which is tricky in the heat but otherwise very centrally located. Kitchen has all the necessities. Overall good value.

Perfect stay in Cefalu!

We loved every moment of our stay here. Perfect location in the centre of Old Town, a few minutes from the train station. The roof terrace had the most beautiful view of the city and sea below. It felt very secluded and peaceful. The bedrooms are large and spotlessly clean. And our hosts were gracious and kind, thank you again for a lovely stay. We will definitely be back.

The View!

Great view that is everything. This was the perfect spot for the middle of our Italy trip where we wanted to relax some. Spent most of the afternoons enjoying the view while reading. Even with the weather a little warm, there was still a nice breeze most of the time so was perfect in the shade. Close to everything in Cefalu. Would definitely go back but would pack a little lighter for all the stairs. Small issue with the number of guests that showed up through the VRBO reservation but was quickly and easily resolved with the owners.

Fabulous peaceful stay

Wonderful location tucked into the rock area so very convenient for the walk up. Was able to unpack the car outside then the hosts kindly showed us a free parking street (might be full in high season so need to book a place somewhere). We did have to drive some very tight streets and corners to get in and out so a smaller car is better (we had a Skoda suv and managed). Get all your shopping ahead of time to unload when you arrive - bring bottled water and toilet rolls (one provided)! The property is quaint and authentic with a stunning terrace so wonderful to hang out anytime of day! Views of the whole area and sunset! The two bedrooms are interconnected and have doors to the terrace- you walk across the terrace to the bathroom and outdoor kitchen- eating on the terrace was such a plus. Enough shade and sun! Note the fridge is in one bedroom with crockery cupboard so if you are two couples plan to get everything out the night before so not to disturb. There was a second fridge in our room which we could have asked to be switched on. Comfy beds and towels and a wonderful welcome gift for my daughter’s birthday from very kind hosts. This is a unique property and special experience. Would love to return.

Perfect Stay

This was an amazing property. Perfect views of the ocean and mountains. If you're looking for a place to relax among perfect scenery this is for you! There are a lot of steps to the building and also to the top floor (where the rental is) The property manager is respectful and everything was clean and ready for us upon arrival. We felt so safe and comfortable!
