Town: Although it was traditionally a part of the East Riding of Yorkshire until 1974, Sherburn is a village and civil parish located in the county of North Yorkshire. Sherburn is located on the south side of the Pickering Vale, directly north of the Yorkshire Wolds, and conveniently close to the North York Moors National Park. Sherburn is an excellent starting point for outdoor excursions throughout the North Yorkshire countryside, and it's close to Filey and Scarborough.
