Himmell cottage sits in an amazing location. A very peacful place surrounded by nature. We found the cottage clean but without working lights in a windowless bathroom. Dispite multiple correspondences with the hosts from the day we arrived to the day we left the situation was never resolved. This was particularly disappointing since we were forced to take out a damage waver which we did not want to do before we could optain the details of entry to the cottage. Other minor issues were a front door which could not be locked from the inside and an ironing board with a piece of medal sticking through hidden by the board cover. Unfortunately this damaged one item of our clothing.Overall verdict-Himmell cottage itself delightful, Host&Stay agent not a company we would use again.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at Himmell Cottage. I’m pleased you enjoyed the location and found the cottage clean, but I am very sorry to hear about the issues you experienced. Please accept my sincere apologies for the lack of working lights in the windowless bathroom and for the repeated correspondence that did not lead to a resolution while you were here — that must have been very frustrating. I also appreciate you bringing to our attention the concern about the front door not locking from the inside and the ironing board with a protruding piece of metal that damaged an item of your clothing. These are important points and your feedback has been noted and is being investigated. I am also sorry you felt you had to take out a damage waiver before receiving entry details; I understand how that could cause additional stress and this concern has been recorded. While I cannot change what happened during your stay, please know your comments have been passed on and will inform how we manage guest communications and property checks going forward. Thank you again for highlighting the positives about Himmell Cottage itself and for making us aware of the issues you encountered. We value your feedback and apologise that your overall experience with our agent did not meet expectations.
