There are no words to express how much we enjoyed our time at Nora's Getaway. The bottom line: we knew it would be amazing from the way the retreat is listed, described, and depicted, but our expectations were still exceeded! Staying there is an experience; it's more than just lodging. - The house is fantastic: clean, stylish, warm, luxurious, unique, fully-equipped.- The grounds are incredible: the stunning pool, the outdoor cooking area and patio, the beautifully maintained gardens surrounding the pool and house, the vineyards and fruit trees.- The views of the valley: unforgettable sunrises, morning fog drifts over the river, and expansive views of the rolling hills and town of Marco de Canaveses across the river (every view from every window of the house is postcard-worthy)!Miguel and Alexandre could not have been more gracious as hosts. They were wonderful: excellent communications, so welcoming, and so warm. We applaud all that they've accomplished with Nora's Getaway retreat--it's truly special. We also appreciated the location of the retreat. We were just a short drive to supermarkets and a lot of great restaurants. The city of Marco de Canaveses was just across the river and there are numerous other towns easily accessible for fun day trips. We made it to Penafiel, Amarante, Braga, and Guimaraes (each with their own personalities).We'll never forget our time there and hope to make it back sometime soon!
