The house was great — awesome amenities and location. Perfect for our large group. Comfortable and good quality furnishings. Does not have AC but it only got warm for a couple hours a day. Fantastic option!

Skidder at northstar

This is an incredible property! If you want the best of all worlds- near Truckee/Tahoe Donner and Lake Tahoe, along with a home that has whirlpool, sauna, fully stocked kitchen (understatement) and watch the sun set over the Sierras from the back porch, this is it. Thank you for the privilege of staying at this property!

Amazing stay in this beautiful cabin!!

We had a fantastic long weekend stay at this cabin. Location is amazing. Right inside the Northstar resort. We got to take the shuttle to the village without needing to drive our cars at all. The house is very spacious and in great condition. Super clean. It accommodated my 14 guests comfortably. Everyone was super happy about the stay. The host is really responsive and informative. We are really happy about the services they provided.

The property was gorgeous. Everything we could expect. We have a family of chefs and wanted for nothing! The proximity to hiking, the lake and mountains couldn’t have been more convenient. Only downside was a roofing crew working on the house next door.

Beautiful, spacious, great for multiple families!

This is a beautiful home with gourmet kitchen etc. The hot tub was a nice feature (fits 2/3 people). The back area was a big hit for the kids to play safely in the snow. The shuttle to Northstar was a big perk (the instructions need to be updated as there's no longer a phone number to request for pick up - must download the app). The kids had a blast sleeping in the spacious bunk room. There are 2 bunk rooms, each cozy with 4 beds + 2 pull out beds and many sleeping cots. Very nice place and we hope to go back there next year!

There was a water issue on the downstairs carpet in front of the water heater room, this should be double checked. The two upstairs toilets do not flush properly and should be addressed.

Getaway from it all

The property is tucked in at the Northstar area, you can go out for a walk and are met with silence. The property itself is very spacious. Our family loved cooking in the kitchen, having dinner (and we all fit!) at the dining table. The teens enjoyed the table tennis, while the adults enjoyed having the pool table. The hot tub really only fits 2-3 people max, so not really best use for a large family, but a couple. We didn't get to use the amenities, just due to our own schedule, but they seemed to be easily accessible through the HOA. The only comment I would have is, giving proper access to the circuit breaker - we were left without power in a small part of the property, and the customer service rep was unable to assist because they did not know where it was located/inaccessible to us. However that does not negate the property or our visit itself. I would love to stay at the property again some time!

Skidder Trail - Northstar

A couple of items regarding the house- 1. The wifi was intermittent and kept going out, with folks that needed to work on vacation and streaming this became a challenge. 2. The dish washer was not usable as it would not get the dishes clean. For the price point of this house these items should be fixed. Brad Kloes

Beautiful house

My family of 11 loved this house, fully stoked from kitchen to bed linens and towels, we didn’t want for anything. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio and enjoying the view and our grandkids had fun playing pool and the many board games that were provided. We enjoyed going to the rec center for swimming. We will definitely be renting this beautiful house again. Tahoe Getaways was very easy to work with and always very helpful with any questions that we had.

This is a wonderfully spacious yet cozy home with extraordinary views of the mountain vistas. Our family of 3 adults and 3 children enjoyed every minute of our stay and certainly intend to return. The management agency proved to be very helpful with every aspect of our visit.

Elegant Comfort

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful experience at Skidder Trail. We brought our family (3 kids) and both sets of grandparents. There was ample room for everyone. This house is beautiful and feels like you are staying at a well appointed friend's home versus a rental property. The door to door shuttle to The Village was an added bonus. The kitchen is fantastic for any level of cook and the master suite was amazing. I would recommend this home to anyone wanting a relaxing getaway!

Repairs Needed

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We experienced difficulty keeping the rooms in the home heated evenly and the dishwasher did not always complete wash cycles.
