Cozy House with Swimming Pool Near the Sea


ELEA is located at Makris Tichos, one of the most beautiful areas of Chania, only 4km far from the city centre. The visitors will surely be impressed by the tasty decoration, the feeling of homely care and exterior environment which is immersed to the Cretan landscape. The charming swimming pool offers moments of relaxation and calmness under the sun, while the guests can enjoy peaceful shady spots in the big garden with local olive and banana trees. Moreover, the four most beautiful beaches of Chania are only 400m away and are easily accessible on foot.


The house (75 sq.m.) which was renovated in 2011 has a big modern and well-equipped kitchen with lively colors, big cupboards and a sofa bed for one person. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with bathtub and one with shower cabin. There is a big balcony with great view of the garden, the swimming pool and the bar-restaurant which is surrounded by olive and banana trees. Two-bedroom apartments are located either on ground floor or first floor (First floor accessible by stairs).


In the area there are two big super-markets and several restaurants (300m). There is well-organized transportation to the town (every 10 minutes) and the bus stop is only 300m away.


We have created a peaceful place for relaxation and calmness and we are waiting for you. Its a home away from home!


Note: Elea is the translation of the english word olive tree in greek language.

Indoor facilities: Air-conditioning (free), Wi-Fi access (free), security safe, bathroom (with shower), hairdryer, fully-equipped kitchen (fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee maker) with necessary kitchenware, extra cleaning (25EUR)*.


*Note: The cleaning fee of 25EUR refers to the initial cleaning before the arrival. For more cleaning during your stay there is an extra cost of 25EUR.


Outdoor facilities: bar-restaurant, breakfast (not included in the price and costs 9.80EUR/person), swimming pool (with childrens pool), deckchairs, sun umbrellas, washing-machine (8EUR/wash), clothes dryer (6EUR/wash), garden and parking lot (free).

Correct mais sans plus. RĂ©sidence calme. La propretĂ© laissait cependant Ă  dĂ©sirer. Les personnes de la rĂ©ception sont accueillantes. Les ustensiles de cuisine sont le strict minimum. La piscine nous a surpris : pas de pĂ©diluve, pas de douche avant d'entrer dans la piscine, mĂȘme si elle est nettoyĂ©e, une douche Ă  proximitĂ© ne serait pas du luxe.

Entspannter Urlaub

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Ein Problem mit der Klimaanlage wurde sehr schnell behoben. Insgesamt kann man dort einen sehr entspannten Urlaub verbringen. Mehrere StrĂ€nde sind zu Fuß erreichbar. Nach Chania City fahren regelmĂ€ĂŸig Busse. Wir sind mehrere Male zu Fuß am Strand hin gelaufen. Negativ war nur das gelegentliche Hundegebell von den NachbargrundstĂŒcken.

Great location.

Property was located in small complex with others. Had extremely enjoyable stay. People managing the place very warm and welcoming. Superb location within walking distance to 3 beaches, local restaurants and bus stop with regular service into Chania town. Also car rental and supermarkets close by. Car rental place also sold excursions and we had a lovely two days out visiting water park and also cruise to ballos and gramvousa islands. If you are a cat lover then you may also get visited by the local cats who stay there also. Lovely pool which we used on many occasions.

Great experience

Small village on the sea front with few restaurants, supermarkets, car rental facilities.!!!Four!!! magnificent beaches within few min walk. Apartment was clean enough, small kitchen for light cooking did the job when too lazy to go out)) Swimming pool very clean, lovely little bar by the pool, owners very friendly and helpful.Very enjoyable stay overall)

Freundliche Gastgeber aber Bilder entsprechen nicht der RealitÀt

Wir waren zu viert als Familie im August 2018 in der Anlage untergebracht. Die Angestellten waren immer sehr bemĂŒht alles zu tun was in Ihrer Macht steht. Leider war es so ,das die Ferienwohnungen (wir mußten einmal umziehen) schon in die Jahre gekommen ist und dringend eine ordentliche Renovierung innen und außen notwendig wĂ€re. Gerade im sanitĂ€ren Bereich wĂ€re dies sehr wichtig , da sich in den Fugen sehr viel Schmutz gesammelt hat. Wenn das noch in Ordnung gebracht wird , wĂ€re der Preis auch gerechtfertigt. Auch wĂ€re es gut wenn im Preis ein WĂ€schewechsel innerhalb von 2 Wochen inklusive wĂ€re.

Fantastiskt bra lÀge och trevligt boende!

VĂ€lskött anlĂ€ggning med mycket serviceinriktad personal som varmt rekommenderas. LĂ€genheterna har det man behöver inkl. lakan och handdukar. Ligger i ett lugnt och avskĂ€rmat lĂ€ge med hĂ€rliga olivtrĂ€d i trĂ€dgĂ„rden med en mycket bra och frĂ€sch pool. Finns Ă€ven en liten servering. Ett antal huskatter finns ocksĂ„. Bilderna speglar vĂ€l hur det ser ut. Det Ă€r 5-10 min promenad ner till stranden, eller rĂ€ttare sagt 3-4 olika strĂ€nder att vĂ€lja pĂ„. Mycket fin och barnvĂ€nlig sand. Nere vid strĂ€nderna ligger Ă€ven ett antal restauranger att vĂ€lja mellan. Det Ă€r gĂ„ngavstĂ„nd till YNKA supermarket och Lidl ligger bredvid. 15 min med buss 21 in till Chania (€1.20/resa).

Beautiful, relaxing place. Perfect location close to beach, park, restaurants and shops.

Just had a wonderful two weeks at Elea Apartments with my family. Apartments were very spacious and clean. My two girls 7 and 5 loved the garden and pool. Beach and park are just 5 mins away with woodland walks to three other beaches. Good bus route to Chania where you can easily spend a day or two walking around the old town and harbour. Owners and staff very helpful with information and will provide delicious home cooked food. Would definitely like to return again next year.

Fantastic Elea

We stayed for two weeks in July, Elea was everything it promised. The owners and staff were extremely friendly and helpful in every way. Very child friendly pool and idyllic beaches nearby. Plenty of local restaurants but Chania harbour is a must for evening meals and a walk.

Beautiful nice and quite village 7 min by foot away from 3 beautiful beaches. Very good.

Landlord is super nice and friendly - he giuded us by phone to our flat. Indicated by a welcome sign it was easy to find. Flat is well equiped - little cooker, large fridge, air condition, very good beds and a beautiful, covered terrasse.. Within another five min to walk there are good restaurants and a big creten supermarket.Pool and all the surounding is very, very well kept and beautiful green. Good taverna in middle of the holiday village. For sure we will come back again.

Super, einfach nur Super

Wir haben zu fĂŒnft in einem Apartment gewohnt. Die Anlage ist sauber, der Pool schön und vorallem Kindersicher... Die Zimmer sind ausreichend, auf einem guten Stand, KĂŒche war ganz gut ausgerĂŒstet... Ein kleiner Herd wĂ€re noch schön gewesen. Das WLan ist nur von FrĂŒh bis Nachmittag zu gebrauchen aber wer braucht das wenn man sich das Meer anschauen kann?😉 Die Besitzer sind sehr nett und unglaublich Hilfsbereit. Kann es wirklich sehr weiterempfehlen.

Schöne Anlage mit sehr netten Ansprechpartnern vor Ort und tollem Service. Super fĂŒr kleine Kinder. Appartments sind zweckmĂ€ĂŸig eingerichtet. Kochnische eher klein, aber dafĂŒr kann man in der Bar/Restaurant gute griechiesche Hausmannskost essen. Da lohnt ein kochen nicht. Lediglich in den Wohnungen war es im April ohne richtige Heizung recht frisch.

Tout d'abord: c'est la premiÚre fois que je mets un commentaire pour exprimer ma satisfaction mais là il le mérite vraiment. Endroit parfait, nous étions avec mon fils de 7 ans. L'endroit est trÚs bien entretenu, propre et surtout une gentillesse et disponibilité de Gorges et Irini. La délicatesse d'Irini, la piscine avec des ballons, matelas gonflable....En plus, la crique à 2 minutes de là avec de l'ombre. Chania centre ville proche. Elle réserve pour vous des excursions "Balos" par exemple et vous donne des noms de restaurant ou la cuisine crétoise est bonne. Un endroit idéal pour des vacances merveilleuses. Juste un grand merci à vous et à bientÎt.

Very comfortable and great pool

ELEA is a charming, comfortable and quiet destination for a relaxing holiday in beautiful Crete. It consists of 16 or so apartments surrounding a good-sized pool, which is fringed by grass and shaded by olive trees. The apartments are bright and well-equipped, with a fantastic fridge (so helpful in July weather!) as well as 2-ring hob, toaster, kettle and microwave. My family of 3 adults and 2 kids had one of the larger 3 room units (2 separate bedrooms and a living room) which was very comfortable and had a large balcony. Only the main bedroom had air-conditioning though. The apartments are serviced every three days as promised by the efficient and friendly cleaning staff. The location is great, in a quiet area about 4km west of Chania. There are 3 smallish but very good beaches nearby (10 mins walk) - all are sandy and very sheltered for excellent swimming with life guards in attendance. No water sports available though - if that's your thing you'll need to travel to one of the larger beaches a few Km away. ELEA is a family-run business and the staff are all extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. They really helped to make our stay as good as it could be. We'll definitely be going back next year!
