Short stay with family

Although we didn’t originally book this villa the property was nice. The villa is very well equipped and maintained. The pool is not overlooked and is a nice size for the villa size. There is a hot tub but it was too hot (weather wise) for us to use. The villa is well laid out and has plenty of space for a family of 5 adults both inside and outside. There is a football table inside but would have appreciated a pack of cards to play with. The bbq was ok but there was no outdoor kitchen area (which we missed as we used this every night in our other villa). We enjoyed the location to the beach and the off road parking for our rental car. We did not use the balcony as this overlooks into the road area and directly into pool of opposite village. It was quite quiet and had a lovely view from the rooftop area.

We stayed with Villas2Let Ltd last year and paid less for a smaller villa and it was fab! so unfortunately we don’t feel this property represents good value for money. I also don’t think it should currently be included in the Luxury Collection. Although it is advertised as being close to the beach, it’s around a 5-minute walk, and unfortunately the beach itself wasn’t very nice or particularly clean. Cyprus has some beautiful beaches, but this certainly wasn’t one of them. We also didn’t feel the road and entrance to the villa were particularly secure compared with the villa we stayed in last year, which had secure gates. During our stay, we even had people knocking on the door trying to sell us things, which made us feel uncomfortable. There were also a number of issues with the villa itself: The fridge wasn’t working, and the temporary replacement was simply standing in the hallway, which wasn’t ideal. The outside of the property doesn’t look like the photos advertised. We had to wait around 30 minutes for hot water. The pillows and Z-bed mattress were extremely thin and uncomfortable. last years was good and very comfy. There were several broken or tired-looking items around the property, including the clothes dryer. The outdoor chairs are very faded, the decking is looking grey and tired, and the plants don’t look particularly well maintained. There is nowhere in the bathrooms to put shampoo or shower gel, so they have to sit on the floor. There are no hooks for hanging towels, which is a basic but important detail. Overall, the villa feels like it needs some TLC and investment to bring it up to the standard you would expect from a luxury property. As I said, we have stayed in Cyprus many times and know there are some fantastic properties and beaches available. Unfortunately, we felt this villa was overpriced for what it currently offers and, in its present condition, shouldn’t really be marketed as part of a Luxury Collection. I hope the feedback is helpful, as with some investment and attention to detail, I think the property could be significantly improved.
