Welcome to our newly renovated studio apartment in the Niederdorf district. Centrally & conveniently located with easy access to local attractions and the famous shopping streets of Zurich, the apartment features a separate bathroom and a fully equipped kitchenette with marble top and induction stove. The apartment has been furnished with you, our guests, in mind and is your home away from home.

We have recently installed a ceiling fan for your comfort- a rare offering in Zurich.

The Space:

The apartment is ideal for 1-2 persons. Modern and comfortable for a couple, solo or business traveler. Freshly cleaned towels & bed linens (washed at 60 degrees C.) and a comfortable 160x200cm bed with mattress & topper awaits you. Kitchenette is fully equipped with microwave, refrigerator, Nespresso coffee maker, cooking utensils and a full set of cutlery. Hair dryer, iron & ironing board are also available. Apartment has been newly renovated to welcome you!

The Neighborhood:

Conveniently located just next to the Limmat in the charming historic old town of Zurich. A brief 2-minute walk to the famous shopping street of Bahnhofstrasse and 12 minutes walk to the University of Zurich makes this location ideal for anyone looking to be in the heart of the city centre, with many trendy cafes and restaurants in the vicinity.

Getting Around:

There is no need for public transport to get into the city as the apartment is located in the heart of the city centre.

The main train station (Zurich Hauptbahnhof) is conveniently located just 5-6 minute walk away, and travelling time to the Zurich airport takes 19 minutes by train.

Other Things to Note:

This is apartment on the second floor with no elevator.

Please note that the apartment is located in a prime tourist location in the historic Old Town of Zurich, and some noise can be expected. So if you are looking for a very quiet environment, this unit may not be your choice.

Points faibles : Arrivée

Good location to explore Zurich with lots of restaurants nearby. Difficult to find the location and enter in the evening. Communication by VRBO messages needs some improvement to make this easier. Small apartment that has everything we needed for our stay but the entry with graffiti and poor lighting was quite the turnoff upon arrival.

Downtown stay in Zurich

The property is close to shopping and cafes, restaurants all around it. Not far from the train station, about 4 blocks, very walkable -not a problem. Unfortunately the day we arrived by train, was a very rainy wet day -like we get back home, and we did have to lug our bags over multiple street car tracks, etc. to the property. Before you arrive, they email you a link to a app for access to the common entry door access control system and then a code for the room lock (after code entry, pause till it stops opening). Be sure to put the app on your phone and setup your account, or you won't be able to open the entry door (there is no keypad or card reader there). We had some problems, but the manager was easy to get a hold of and was very helpful for a couple of confused Yanks. We did find Zurich to be very expensive (all valued in Swiss Francs ), don't count on getting a cheap meal there unless you eat at the Burger King or some of the small take-away places. There is a grocery store just next to the property where you might find something to make, and the room has a kitchenet with much of what you need
