Palaka est un charmant cottage de plantation situé en face de la célÚbre baie de Hanalei. Palaka est situé prÚs de la jetée Hanalei de Weke Rd. Cette maison familiale douce dispose de 2 chambres et 1 salle de bains. En outre, il y a un puni confortable (lit de nuit) dans le salon pour vous détendre et lire votre livre préféré. Une caractéristique préférée de nombreux invités est la douche extérieure. Avec un pittoresque, un petit jardin, une belle lanai pour prendre votre café du matin ou les repas du coucher du soleil, et une table de pique-nique couverte, Palaka est un bijou à Hanalei. Que vous vous rendiez à Hanalei Pier ou que vous vous promenez sur un vélo de croisiÚre et que vous vous rendez à la ville de Hanalei, Palaka deviendra rapidement l'un de vos endroits préférés pour revenir à plusieurs reprises. Lovely Family Trip

We had a lovely stay at the Palaka cottage. Waking up with kids, going on the lanai for breakfast, and walking to the beach were a joy. The space was perfect, the amenities were fantastic, and the outdoor shower turned out to be clutch especially showering off the littles after a day at the beach.

Charming

For us, the cottage was perfect in every way. We like to keep our time on the north shore simple. We rented bikes and only used the car for specific outings. We walked the beach, swam the ocean, used the outdoor shower, and lived on the lanai except when we were in the gardens. The cottage is lovely and equipped with everything we needed. Mahalo Kauai, for allowing us to share in your island life for a time.

Birthday Celebration

This was a great property. We spent most of our time on the wonderful front porch. The outdoor shower was amazing after a day at the beach. Property management was extremely attentive and quick to our request for boogie boards and a new coffee maker. We can’t wait to return.

Amazing Hanalei, wonderful cottage!

We have visited Kauai several times and were thrilled to introduce our 8 and 6 year old kiddos to one of our favorite places. This property is in a perfect location on the frontage road to the waterfront, just a very short walk to the Hanalei pier and a comfortable walk to Hanalei town. The yard is lovely and relaxing, with a fantastic front porch that includes a nice peek at the water. The cottage had everything we needed. We loved the historic charm and decor, and really appreciated the air conditioning during the hottest part of the day! We loved having geckos as housemates and enjoyed playing peek-a-boo with these curious creatures. The outdoor shower is magical and I highly encourage that you use it exclusively - the mountain view and birdsong are positively dreamy. Book it!

Return Trip to Hanalei Cottage

My wife and I stayed here in February '22 while she was pregnant with our first child. We brought our daughter back in July of '23 and wanted to stay at this same place. We love the beach cottage. It's so charming. We love the location, and we love the short (3 min) walk to Black Pot Beach to watch the sunrise over Hanalei Bay. This trip, we experienced some minor issues but Joanne and her company handled it so quickly and well that we will of course look to them when we return. Can't wait to come back!

Fabulous Property

This property is conveniently located between two beach access points. The house is lovely, with a host of amenities. We found everything we needed at the house, the grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. We strongly recommend this property.

Really nice plantation bungalow

Really sweet place, 2 bedroom, great for 2 couples. Nice lanai and yard. I really liked the outdoor shower. We didn’t do much cooking, so I can’t comment on the kitchen set up. Air conditioners worked great in the living in bedroom areas. We weren’t in the mood to cook. However, if you were, you might need potholders. Serious cooks might find the kitchen wanting. But we weren’t there to cook. Overall, we really loved it and would rent it again.

Charming cottage

The location cannot be beat. You can watch sunsets from front porch or take a 2-3 stroll over to Hanalei Bay to enjoy the beach. The cottage has unique design features and is well equipped. For some it might be a downside but we found it charming
bugs, spider webs, and geckos were our roommates. You are indeed in a lush tropical environment after all.

great place, exceeded expectations, exceptionally responsive and communicative service.

Quiet, clean, comfortable, nice yard, very quick walk to the beach, well equipped, thoughtful amenities (outdoor shower!), and more. But what really stood out, head and shoulders above any other home rental we've had, was the clear and responsive communication from Joanne at Kauai Island Vacations. We had all the information we needed early on, full and complete communication. We appreciated their emphasis on environmental concerns (which sunscreens to use and avoid, encouragement to bring our own water bottles).One other example:: on a morning with heavier than usual rain, just minutes after we received a weather alert on our phones about possible flooding, Joanne wrote us an email (which I'm sure went out to all their renters) with more information, web links, etc. And one more: when we told her we were out of toilet paper (an oversight), or hadn't found the extra rolls, someone appeared at our door within half an hour with a 'six pack.'

Quaint cozy cottage

We loved our stay at the Palaka Cottage. The location is perfect as it’s walking distance to all beaches on Hanalei Bay and the shops and restaurants in town. The cottage is very comfortable with everything we needed for a cozy beach vacation. We loved sitting on the front porch every morning and evening. This place is so special!

Home is well maintained and clean, manager answered our call when TV Cable box failed, and had it replaced soon as possible. Close to pier and beach for walks and swimming. All good. Quiet neighbors too.

Just Perfect

This place was fantastic. It's a 3 minute walk from one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, which you can partly see from the lanai. Starting each day with sunrises there and watching the surfers was so great. Walking along the road into town every morning was so peaceful. The property managers are friendly and generally prompt in their reply. And the listing is accurate. The A/C gets super cold, super fast so no need to leave it on all day. And the bed was more comfortable than most hotel beds I've slept in. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. Perfectly relaxing. We will definitely look to stay here again when we return!

Hanalei peace of mind

Palaka cottage was an ideal location. Cottage layout was quaint and a bit bigger than expected. Joanne was a wonderful host who offered important suggestions about the area and who helped with special requests for my father. Porch was sublime place to gather at sunset. Access to beach now requires walking to pier or pavilion but still quite convenient

Perfect!!

Wow!! My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and couldn’t have asked for a better place! It’s even cuter/better than the pictures make it out to be! The location is perfect (you can walk to the beach/pier and into town); the house is clean, charming, beachy; and we even had some peaks of the ocean from the lanai (which has a wonderful couch and table to enjoy). Oh and the outdoor shower is such a treat! Can’t wait to go back!!

Fabulous, quaint, historic cottage, with modern amenities. 1 block from Hanalei’s Black Pot Beach Pier, with mountain and slight ocean views. Made us feel like we stepped back in Hawaiian time. Convenient to all Hanalei and North Shore activities.
