This 2 bedroom caravan has a main bedroom with king bed and en-suite toilet. There is also 1 twin bedroom for children. There is also a bathroom with toilet and shower

The kitchen is fully equipped with a 4-hob gas cooker, grill and oven, a fridge, a microwave, kettle and toaster. The dining area seats 4.

The living room area has seating with a TV. The caravan has double glazing and gas central heating throughout.

Patio doors lead to decking with table and chairs. Outside the caravan is a private parking space.

Well behaved dogs are allowed in this caravan, max 2 dogs. Please do let us know if you are bringing a dog.

Pay-as-you-go WiFi is available on site, provided by Wifinity.

Bedding (pillows, pillowcases, quilts, quilt covers, sheets) are provided and beds will be made prior to your arrival. You will need to bring your own beach and bath towels.

We provide some essentials such as a toilet roll and hand towel in each bathroom, some cleaning products and a tea towel in the kitchen. We also provide some tea, coffee, milk and biscuits in the kitchen ready for your arrival, so you can relax upon arrival.

Please note that this is self-catering, so we do not provide unlimited toilet rolls, daily cleans or other things you may expect in an hotel.

We can book discounted ferry tickets for you with either Wightlink or Red Funnel. If you would like us to book discounted ferry tickets for you, please ask once you have completed your booking.

Really nice caravan, could do with a little TLC in places (the hob for one). There isn’t a gate on the decking but the outdoor chairs fitted across the gap to keep our dog from escaping to chase the local wildlife. Caravan is in a great quiet location on the park, close to amenities (can’t comment on those, we didn’t use them). Host was very responsive and helpful when needed - would recommend for a couple - en suite toilet was a bonus - lovely size master bedroom for a caravan.

Host knew Boiler needed repairing before we entered the unit so why not sort then rather than the whole of our first week without hot water and heating. Toilet seats fell to one side while trying to sit on them. Damaged doors. Stains on carpets. Matress had springs sticking out. Wobbly hand rails going up the steps. Told we had to leave key in safebox every time we went out which was completely unacceptable. Veneer on woodwork falling off. Shower tray seal coming off and showing mould behind it. Cable tie holding shower head up. This van is being neglected. Felt we had paid far to much for sub standard accommodation!!

The previous guest reported a leak and we arranged for the gas engineer to visit. Unfortunately, you broke our house rules by taking the key out with you, thereby preventing the gas engineer from fixing the leak. So we arranged for them to come back another day. The boiler did work, until the water leaked off (which it wouldn't have done if you'd followed the house rules to allow the gas engineers in) - but we came out and topped up (because when an issue is reported, we deal with it) and told you that maintenance would come to tighten up the toilet seats the next day, yet despite knowing that maintenance was coming round, you waited until after their visit to report another issue. Not very helpful at all. And then, again ignoring our house rules and our requirement to report issues, you reported the wobbly handrail to VRBO instead of to us. Very unhelpful. House rules are there to help us to help guests. Please do better with whoever you stay with in future.

All properties are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between guests to ensure we remain Covid Secure.

Lower Hyde Holiday Park has a bar and restaurant, a children's play area with swings and climbing frame, football and basketball pitches, and a swimming pool. Passes for the resort facilities and entertainment can be purchased at reception if required.

Please note that resort facilities are open from mid-March to October half-term only. Please note these facilities are provided by the holiday park, not by us, so we cannot quote prices, opening times or availability.

There are three car ferry routes to the Isle of Wight, operated by Wightlink from Portsmouth and Lymington, and Red Funnel from Southampton. We can book discounted ferry tickets for you with both Wightlink and Red Funnel, subject to terms and availability.

If you are travelling by public transport, we recommend that you travel by Wightlink Fastcat or Hovertravel Hovercraft from Portsmouth to Ryde. There are frequent bus services from Ryde to Shanklin. There is also a train from Ryde to Shanklin.

You do not need a car if you are on holiday in our property as it is close to the railway station, the main shopping area in Shanklin and frequent bus services to other parts of the Island.

This property is about a 10-minute walk from Shanklin town centre and Shanklin station. Shanklin Theatre, Shanklin Old Village with its souvenir shops and tea rooms, and Shanklin Beach are about a 20-minute walk from the property, although you may prefer to drive.

Shanklin is a popular seaside town in the South of the Isle of Wight and is the sunniest place in England. The seafront with sandy beaches, crazy golf, amusement arcades and cafes is a few minutes' drive from our caravan.

Shanklin town centre has a wide range of shops and cafes, and Shanklin Old Village, with its thatched tea-rooms, pubs and gift shops, is very popular. Rhylstone Tea Gardens has crazy golf and award-winning gardens - you might even see red squirrels! Also visit Shanklin Chine, a tree lined gorge with waterfall, which has been a tourist attraction for over 200 years - visit again in the evening when the chine is lit up.

Shanklin also has a lovely traditional theatre, where many famous comedians, bands and others perform.

Frequent bus services operate from Shanklin town centre to other parts of the island, although, you may prefer to drive. Shanklin railway station is opposite the site entrance and has trains running to Sandown, Brading and Ryde.

This is a self-contained property, you can come and go as suits you. You do not need to contact us to check in or out. The key for entry is in a Master Key Safe outside the property, so you can let yourselves in at check in time.

A few days before your holiday, we will send you a message with directions to the property. The key safe code will be sent by text message from IWVacations shortly before check-in time at 4pm. Please note that early check-in is not available.

Although you do not need to meet us, we are normally nearby and available by phone, text message or email, 8am to 10pm. If you have any problems, something is not working, need advice on tourist attractions or anything, please do feel free to contact us.
