Supet property

This is a very well equiped propetty and very well positioned for both beach (5mins)and town(10mins). Never rented a property with so much crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils! Overall a most comfortable stay in a house easily able to accomodate eleven. Couple of minor niggles, one of the properties boilers needed to be reset daily to get hot water in two of the bathrooms, apparently a known problem but not fixed. After a week of intensive use the water in the pool was getting very cloudy, maybe being a bit picky here. Would we go again, yes we would!

Family holiday- prime location

Lovely stay Children loved the pool Adults loved the hot tub The rooms were perfect The beds were comfy. The owners left eggs, biscuits and bread as a welcome gift. Much appreciated Easter egg hunt in the front lawn was perfect and even the frogs came to say hello

Excellent stay

What a fantastic property, ideal for our family of 13 celebrating Christmas together. The facilities were great, as the pool, hot tub, snooker table and dart board kept everyone entertained- we even managed a swim first thing Christmas morning! The house was a good size without feeling cramped but allowed space when needed.

Great holiday home with something for everyone

We had a lovely stay at Warner Wood. The size of the house was brilliant as there were 13 of us with 3 generations of family. The annex is an excellent added extra for those that prefer their own space. Good touches for the elderly were the two ground floor bedrooms with handrails in the bathrooms. The hot tub and pool were a fantastic luxury part of the holiday. We had trouble getting ourselves out and about as we were enjoying them so much. When we did get out it was lovely that beach was so close to walk to. We did make it as far as Bracklesham Bay Tea Rooms and Garden as well and highly recommend it. Fantastic gluten-free options and lovely garden. We had some fun evenings hanging out in the games room. The musician in our party really appreciated the old Hammond organ in there that apparently Paul Weller used to play. When there was a problem with a drain blocking someone was sent to fix it within half an hour of us making contact and no further problems. Highly recommend Warner Wood and would love to go back. Just have to find an occasion to get a family or friends group together.

Warner Wood

This property was ideal for our family - ground floor bedrooms and upstairs bedrooms - plus a self contained annex Pool was a big bonus and the secure back garden was ideal for our dog Whilst some of the furniture was well used it added to the charm. Kitchen and whole house kitted out generously and was lacking nothing really. At end of a small side road and really peaceful. We would definitely stay again.

Superb house v close to the beach

We loved our stay Warner Wood. It's a very spacious and well equipped property, that easily fitted all 12 of us. The central kitchen had everything we needed including big pots and pans, blender and a large gas hob for cooking a couple of feasts, which we enjoyed around the long dining table in the lounge. The location is excellent - a quiet cut-de-sac on the edge of Selsey, with views from the garden over fields - a less than 5 minute walk to the sea where we had great swims from the fine pebbled beach, and the high street is a 5 minute walk in the other direction. The rear garden is a little oasis of peace, with a decent sized swimming pool and a large hot tub with room for 6 or 7 at once. This is the perfect place for a large family gathering or a holiday with friends. Highly recommended - we will be back!

Group holiday

Great house for 4 families to socialise together in the comfortable and large lounge and well equipped games room. We appreciated the range of condiments and utensils in the kitchen and cleanliness throughout the house. Thoughtful welcome pack too. We didn't pay the extra charge to heat the pool so it was quite bracing but still useable - it was a shame some bugs and insects also like to use it. Easy walk to the beach and Selsey (including the fantastic The Hopp Inn).

Birthday celebration

Arrived to a clean and spacious accommodation. Very light and airy. We were a family party of 15 celebrating my husbands 70th birthday, including our 8 grandchildren. The pool definitely made the weekend. They spent hours in the water playing all sorts of games. The sea was only a 10 min. walk and spent a couple of hours there. We made use of the barbeque and all the furniture round the pool. Our sons and husband enjoyed the snooker table, plenty of laughter going on. Bedrooms were set up to our request which was great. We would like to thank the owners for there consideration in ordering padded seats for the 2 sun beds and fans incase we were hot in the house. These arrived when we were there by amazon along with the pool net to remove any leaves etc. Lovely thought. I would definitely recommend warner House. The arrival package was an added treat thank you.

A huge disappointment. The house was dirty, poorly maintained and the agent didnt seem to care

Its actually very difficult to be impartial given the delapidated starte of disrepair the place was in. Needless to stay, a 3-day holiday with our family resulted in a huge disappointed and us leaving early. And this place isnt cheap so you would expect thinks to be clean and work well. Firstly the heating in the 2 bedrooms downstairs werent working and i assume the reason why there was a blow-heater in the room. We switched that in but it tripped the electricity that we only managed to get back on the next morning. The main bedroom was freexing and we slept fully clothed both nights The premises were dirty and hadnt been cleaned, carpets were filthy and there were cobwebs in corners and on lights We had to clean the pots and oven trays to remove food from the previous occupants before we could use them There were dead flies in the bedrooms and the Annex was full of wood lice Beading was handing off above the cupboards in the Main en Suite etc etc The saving grace was that the Jacuzzi and the heated pool were great. I think the biggest disappointment was the way in which the Agent handled this. Completely defensive and unwilling to accept any responsability, although i took and sent lots of pictures. If you are looking for an upmarket residence then i would be very wary.

We would like to clarify that we were in regular contact with you throughout your stay and responded promptly to all messages raised. Following your concerns, both maintenance and housekeeping attended the property. They did not identify any issues with the heating or the coffee machine, both of which were found to be in working order. All reported concerns were taken seriously and addressed as quickly as possible during your stay. Had there been any confirmed faults, we would of course have taken immediate steps to resolve them. We understand that you chose to leave early and subsequently requested a refund for the unused night. However, as you stayed at the property for two nights and made full use of the facilities during that time, we were unable to agree to this request. As a gesture of goodwill, we did offer to refund the booking fee, though we appreciate this was not the outcome you were hoping for. We do regret that you were disappointed, but we must respectfully disagree with the characterisation of both the property and how your concerns were handled. We always aim to provide a high standard of accommodation and responsive customer service to all guests.

Poor customer service

There were a number of issues with the property. A window pane was broken in the house when we arrived, the door to the balcony couldn’t be opened (which they told us about but still wasn’t fixed properly whilst we were there). The dishwasher also didn’t work when we arrived. I called them on the second day and left an answerphone message. No one got back to me. I called again the next day- they said I was the second person to say they’d left a message but they hadn’t got it. They said someone would fix it on the Friday. No one came and I didn’t get any further communication or even an apology. It was supposed to be a relaxing break but washing up by hand multiple times a day for 10 people wasn’t that. The house itself is spacious with lots to do and in a great location but I wouldn’t use this company again.

Overall good but with disappointments

This house was booked for a family celebration weekend for a joint 70th birthday, for ten adults and five children. Overall the house was good but there were disappointments in the condition of the house on arrival. Bedding and towels were clean and fresh. The kitchen was very well-equipped and mostly clean. It was let down by the unhygienic condition of the nozzle on the freezer ice and cold water dispenser . . . .rusty and covered in mould and potentially a health hazard. There were dead spiders in the annexe wardrobe and patio door curtains and dead insects and dust along the window sill. There were many strings of cobwebs along the coving of the main bedroom en suite bathroom. The skirting board of the main bedroom had clearly not been cleaned for a long time, being covered in grime and dust. The conservatory window sill was covered in dead insects and dust. The net for the swimming pool was broken from its pole so we had to resort to using just the net to clean the pool of foliage and insects, with someone swimming with the net. The youngest children would not enter the pool with insects and leaves in it. On arrival the boiler in the upstairs bathroom was off and would not fire up, showing a fault code 22 for lack of pressure. Luckily we had a plumber in our party who knew how to repressurise the boiler so we could have hot water in the sinks and bath. We would have expected the how water supply to be checked as fully working before our arrival. The games room had an overwhelming musty smell throughout the weekend. Windows and patio door were barred and locked so we had to contact the agent to find the location of the keys to the bars to open them in turn to open the windows and patio door to attempt to clear the musty smell, though not fully satisfactorily The bbq had not been cleaned from a previous use and the grill was covered in burnt food and remains of food. Thus whilst the house is good in so many ways it was let down by a poor standard of cleaning and preparation for guests.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We have taken your feedback very seriously. The nozzle on the water dispenser has been thoroughly cleaned. Prior to your arrival the house had been professionally cleaned throughout however; unfortunately one bathroom, and one bedroom had been missed from dusting. The bed linens and been changed but the housekeeper had forgotten to go back to this one. We are sincerely sorry this happened and if it has been reported immediately we would have had housekeeping back there to rectify the room before anybody slept in it. A new net for the swimming pool has now been purchased and new arrangements have been made for the pool maintenance. We have installed a new cover and there will be more regular checks across the summer season. Warner Wood is run off three different heating systems and they are all normally running well and that hot water is present throughout the house. We apologise that you needed to re pressurize the boiler. The boiler has not lost pressure since however and we have been checking regularly. The BBQ had unfortunately been missed by the ground’s person, but we sent him over to clean this asap and we will certainly ensure this is checked before guest rentals. Thank you for your patience and for bringing all items to our attention. We hope you enjoyed your stay at Warner Wood despite the mentioned items.

Lovely spacious house full of character. Really well equipped with everything we needed to make our stay so happy. We enjoyed relaxing in the private gardens and in the sparkling heated pool and jacuzzi. Selsey itself was a disappointment it is rather run down and the food and drinks we had didn’t offer value for money. The people we met though were very friendly.
