Seascape has been completely renovated by the owners to create the perfect holiday home for families and friends to enjoy a relaxing and revitalising break by the sea. Located just a few minutes from the harbour and seafront, the house is perfectly located to enjoy everything that Whitstable has to offer including an abundance of friendly (and pet friendly) cafes, restaurants, pubs, and independent boutique shops. Set over three floors, the house has four bedrooms, all with Smart TVs and three bathrooms, a cosy sitting room with wood burner and a sociable kitchen/dining room overlooking the sunny garden, which has garden furniture, BBQ and a fire pit. The house even has a parking space, a rare luxury in Whitstable. Whitstable has a thriving arts scene with some lovely galleries featuring local artists, and live music is a popular feature in many of the pubs. It also has the iconic fishing harbour, where you can watch the fishing boats come and go or book a trip out to the legendary Maunsell sea forts on the historic Greta, or maybe go seal watching in a vintage lifeboat.

Please note check out is 10am. Please ensure you vacate on time to allow our housekeepers to enter the property and prepare it for the next guests.
Smoking is not permitted in the property at any time.
Please note for insurance purposes the number of guests must not exceed the total occupancy of the house.
For fire safety reasons please do not use any candles in the property.
Please be respectful to neighbours. Quiet hours are between 11pm and 9am.
Parties and loud music are not permitted.

The house is in a good location for walking to the beach. We were there in a heat wave and there are no fans in the house.We had asked the host beforehand if there were any and had been advised there weren’t so we brought our own - and we were grateful we had! Saying that , the lollies and ice left in the freezer for us were very welcome!

Great house, ideal for couples

We booked this property as we were 2 couples and the multiple king rooms and bathrooms were ideal for us. The house was very well equipped and we made good use of the facilities. Location was perfect for Whitstable. I would definitely recommend this property.

Perfect for our girls weekend away!

We had a wonderful weekend in Whitstable and Seascape was a great base for us. Short walk into the heart of Whitstable, once we parked we didn’t need our cars again until we checked out. Seascape was clean and really comfortable, lots of bathrooms which is an added bonus! It was the perfect house for a much needed girls weekend!

Great location

Location was great, very close to the seafront and the station. The managers were very accommodating about a late check out and had very prompt response times. Some small niggles; the fuse for the downstairs lights kept tripping, there were only partial toilet rolls in all the bathrooms, despite being an 8 person house there are only 5 bowls.

Seascape

We booked this property due to the bathroom/bedroom ratio. Also that it stated beds could be made into twins. Which as mature women was a positive plus. Despite two requests, on arrival only one room was indeed made up as a twin. It was then inferred that not all made were usually offered! And they didn’t have enough bedlinen to make them all as twins. Had this been made clear we would have chosen another property. The property itself is too small for 8 adults which wasn’t made clear and is misleading. The bunk room is so small there is nothing in there but the bunk beds and you have to shuffle in sideways ! The kitchen has little useable workspace and we struggled to make even a basic breakfast as 7 plates cannot be put anywhere! The fridge is too small for 8 people’s food for a weekend and with no storage cupboards food had to be piled up in the ‘dining’ area which was so tight 8 chairs don’t fit the table without playing Jenga to get in and out and past the table. The loft room bathroom smells dreadfully of drains and the downstairs shower room doesn’t drain properly so we assume a blockage forcing the smell upstairs! Unpleasant at best. Whilst the location is very near the harbour and we have stayed in Whitstable on many occasions this doesn’t feel like Whitstable, the area was a little run down with lots of dogs barking and general malaise about the area. Sadly could not recommend this property and doesn’t seem to fit in with the standard of other Keepers Cottages.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We’re sorry that the property wasn’t the right fit for your group, although we would like to clarify a few points for future guests. The house is advertised as sleeping eight guests across four bedrooms, and the photographs on our website show the size and layout of the property, including the kitchen, dining area and bunk room. The bunk room is certainly compact and is designed specifically for the bunk beds shown in the listing. We do feel this is represented in the photographs, although we have taken your feedback on board and will add an additional note to the description to make its compact size even clearer. The property is equipped with sufficient plates, crockery and kitchenware for eight guests. We appreciate that the kitchen and dining areas may have felt compact for a group of eight adults, but their size and layout are shown in the listing photographs rather than being described as larger than they are. With regard to the beds, the relevant beds can indeed be configured as twins. We believed this was all sorted swiftly for you, so I was suprised that this was reflected in the review. The drains have been investigated and checked, they are now working as they should. There have been no smells reported since. We’re sorry that ultimately the house wasn’t suited to your particular group. We do try very hard to represent our properties accurately through detailed descriptions and photography so that guests can decide whether the layout and style of an individual home will work for them, and we’ll use the helpful elements of your feedback to make the description even clearer.

Convenient location

A smart terraced house with a tiny cobbled garden which needs a bit of attention. The house would be quite tight for 8 people but it suited our purposes. The parking space at the rear was useful at the weekend.
