Chalet isolé au bord du lac - paradis de la pêche et de la faune!

Cabane en rondins isolée (eau sur trois côtés - 50 pieds du lac) sur un lac boisé privé (tremble, peuplier, cèdre), d'environ un mile de long avec un étang de nénuphars avec des dunes de sable à l'ouest, à seulement 15 miles au NE de St . Anthony, à 14 miles au NO d'Ashton, au pied de la région d'Island Park, à 55 miles de l'aéroport d'Idaho Falls. Entrée ouest du parc national de Yellowstone à moins de 80 km (West Yellowstone est à 70 km) et entrée sud du parc national de Teton à seulement 70 km.

Pas de bateaux à moteur sur le lac, mais canots, kayaks, flotteurs, petits voiliers et pédalos autorisés. Nager avec des balançoires. Peu de moustiques en été et une faune abondante - pygargues à tête blanche, cygnes trompettes, tortues, grenouilles, castor, rats musqués, cerfs, chemin de migration de l'orignal et du wapiti, couleurs automnales spectaculaires, fleurs sauvages du printemps. Des centaines de kilomètres de sentiers de motoneige entretenus partout (8 milles au sud de High Point), des sentiers à 4 roues et des sentiers équestres dans la forêt et les dunes de sable.

Le lac regorge de truites abondantes, l'écologie des poissons est semblable à celle du lac Henry. La célèbre Henry's Fork de la rivière Snake et le réservoir Ashton (bateaux à moteur) à seulement 16 km.

I believe this was our 10th trip to Burt's cabin. We absolutely love to stay here & we feel right at home. Burt is very communicative & I feel like he is an old family friend. His place is peaceful & serene. I love that it is off the beaten path & the privacy is unsurpassed.

My family stayed at the cabin for the second time and we were not disappointed. We caught trophy sized trout like last year and the cabin/weather were great. We went to Yellowstone and saw all sorts of wildlife. Burt made sure we had everything we needed.

Our stay included visiting Yellowstone one day and The Tetons another. Mesa Falls was a close visit as was Harriman State Park. On our odd days, we were able to enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of the lake while kayaking and fishing. Never a dull moment.

Sorry to hear about the pillows. Each queen size bed has 4 pillows of varying firmness and can be switched around. I am going to research the top rated pillows in Consumer Reports and educate myself to ensure I have a good mix of the top rated pillows. First feedback I have had on the queen bed mattress in 18 years. Too soft, too hard? Need more feedback. Burt

Burton is an excellent host. Property was as described and exactly what we were looking for. It has all the amenities described and everything was in working order. We had a great time using the boats on the lake. And our tris to Yellowstone and the Tetons were great. So thankful for Burton’s suggestion of a back way into the NPs because on one of our trips we had a black bear cross in front of us.Look forward to a future stay!Take note in the description as it is a gravel road to get to the property. This did not takeaway from our stay but it does add time to travel.

Perfect for Vacation!

We wanted to get away but still close enough to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons. This was PERFECT. Kiddos loved the private lake to kayak/canoe/fish, and we all enjoyed the stars at night. Burt was great with communication and we would love to come back!

Having grown up on a lake in northern Minnesota, when Burt Butler moved from North Carolina to Idaho in 1993 to work for the state court system, one of his dreams was to find secluded lakefront property that his four children could enjoy, and ultimately build a cabin that the family could consider a comfortable second home. That dream came true in 1998 when Burt Butler found a unique secluded lakefront property on a peninsula with a gentle shoreline and spectacular fishing with no motor boats allowed on the lake. In the Fall of 2001 the elegant and rustic cabin was started and finished in June 2002. Now retired, in April 2019 Burt moved to the property permanently and has built a log garage with living quarters for himself 100 feet behind the cabin, leaving the cabin for his guests.

Our secluded vacation property, with close proximity to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, offers year round recreation opportunity for my family and guests. Swimming, canoeing, fishing and outdoor fires under the stars in the summer, Fall colors and 4 wheeling in the sand dunes adjacent to the lake, and early winter ice skating, and when the snow gets deep great cross country skiing and snowmobiling and the enjoyment of a wood stove. Owner Burt Butler in year 2020 built a garage with living quarters above and now lives on the property year round.

Peace, quiet, fires outside and inside, barbecue on the huge deck and dutch oven cooking, great fishing, wildlife variety from frogs, beavers, trumpeter swans, birds of all varieties including bald eagles, moose, deer, to a sighting of a wolf. Cabin is completely available to guests with separate parking and privacy while the owner lives in living quarters above garage 100 feet from the cabin.
