Loved it! Apartment was clean, lots of space, rooms are nice sized, kitchen had everything we needed, location was excellent, felt safe, it has AC in the bedrooms that worked great and having a washer & dryer is a huge plus! Host is very responsive and helped with any questions that we had while getting settled in. Apartment is about 10 minute walk to the Ponte Vecchio and depending on which direction you head, about a 15 -20 minute walk from countless shops, restaurants, markets, museums, etc.. We recommend to everyone coming to Florence!

The location was good (a bus stop right across the street) The apartment was spacious and clean. However, communication with the management was poor to say the least. Totally by text without a human involved. Had trouble checking in since the link sent was not "live" and could not reach it. It took over 1/2 hour to get into the apartment because of all the electronic security that was operated remotely and response time was inadequate. It will be the last time we will use a VRBO site without a person meeting us. Also, while not a problem for us, anyone with mobility issues would have a hard time in the apartment because there were steps down to one of the bedrooms and a step up to one bathroom and five steps down and around a corner without a handrail for the second bathroom. This should be made clear in the apartment description. Because of the location (in a rather "Hip" area) there was quite a bit of noise well into the night.

The host is virtually nonexistent. They communicated entirely through WhatsApp. Their Google maps link was incorrect, which is astounding because they post the link themselves. The bathroom toilet and sink was clogged and dirty upon our arrival which was disgusting. They never had someone come and clean this up. The wifi never worked and our cellular service was zero to one bar of connectivity, making communication with the host even harder, sending pictures or videos of the issues with the rental to the host was next to impossible. Finally, the air-conditioning was unable to cool the home. The thermal efficiency of the home is terrible but they also use halogen bulbs in every room which act like heaters, a problem that would vanish if they switched to LED lighting.If the owners actually cared for their guests with a live human contact, in person, and took measures to mitigate heat amd any other situationrequiring a handyman, this would be an outstanding place to stay. But their hands-off approach makes the clientele suffer and it makes simple, ordinary situations turn into frustrating, regrettable and even repulsive experiences. Its sad.
