Petty Knowes Cottage, a single-storey home, consists of a kitchen/diner with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, a dining area, a sitting room with open fire, TV, DVD player, DVDs, and a snug. The bedroom consists of a king-size bed with a woodburning stove and TV, serviced by a bathroom. Outside, there is a private fenced garden with decked area, furniture, barbecue, plus off-road parking available. WiFi, fuel, power, starter pack for open fire and woodburning stove, bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Two well-behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 5 miles, pub 1.3 miles, river 0.6 miles. Petty Knowes Cottage is an excellent choice for a scenic escape to Northumberland. This property accepts a minimum two-night booking. Please note: the hot tub is only available between 1st April and 30th September.

Otterburn is the former home of a busy weaving industry, and the world famous Otterburn Mill marks the village's historic past. Nearby Bellingham, built predominantly from local stone and slate, houses a handful of pubs, shops and tea rooms and a highly regarded 18 hole golf course. Visit the nearby, majestic, stately homes of Wallington Hall and Cragside, or the historic market town of Alnwick, with its stunning castle and gardens, a mere 40 minute drive.
