From the comfort of your private decking, you can spot sea eagles and golden eagles soaring above, while roe deer often make a peaceful morning appearance. Unlike most pods, Black Grouse is equipped with a full-size shower, a cosy wood burner, a king-size bed, a sofa bed suitable for two children, and a kitchen featuring a mini fridge and freezer—offering both charm and practicality.



This is the ideal retreat for relaxing and exploring, with a wide range of activities and attractions just a short drive away. Pubs, restaurants, and shops are all within a mile, and the nearby train station (under 2 miles away) offers a magical ride on the Harry Potter Steam Train over the iconic Glenfinnan Viaduct, revealing dramatic scenery and hidden beaches only visible by rail en route to Mallaig—a charming fishing village and ferry gateway to the Isle of Skye (advanced booking for the train is recommended).



Outdoor enthusiasts can hike Ben Nevis, the UK’s highest peak, or visit the Nevis Range, known for hosting the European Bike Trials. To the south lies Glencoe, a breathtakingly beautiful glen with walking routes for all abilities and a ski lift—also open in summer for tubing fun on the dry slope, making it a year-round destination. For a more laid-back day in Fort William, you’ll find entertainment for all ages, including a cinema, soft play area, bowling alley, swimming pool, and scenic walks to Neptune’s Staircase.
