Sleeping eight across four luxurious bedrooms and bathrooms, this lovingly restored Grade II-listed home was originally built for Reverend Farwell, with a graceful Victorian wing added later. Today, it's a place where history meets comfort - an expansive, elegant home designed for gathering, celebrating, and simply unwinding. Children are warmly welcome, and up to two well-behaved dogs are invited too.
Inside, light spills through a soaring roof lantern into the entrance hall, where an imperial staircase sweeps upwards and three beautifully styled living rooms invite slow mornings and long evenings. A drawing room for fireside films, a ‘clubby' library for a quiet read, and a formal dining room dressed in deep blue, modern art, and a baby grand piano - it's a house with room to roam or come together as you please.
At the heart of the home, the exceptional kitchen is both stylish and deeply functional - complete with copper-topped island, state-of-the-art appliances, Aga style cooker and a tucked-away prep area for easy entertaining. Enjoy fresh eggs from the farm next door, flaky croissants from the village shop, and coffee from the Sage Barista or Nespresso machine as morning light dances across the slate. Outside, there's an al fresco kitchen with BBQ, dining table for ten, Bushman wood-fired oven, and a wood-fired hot tub ready for post-beach bliss under the stars.
Upstairs, four generous bedrooms each tell their own story. The ‘Landsdown' master features a Queen Anne super king bed, dressing room, and an unforgettable 1950s pink bathroom with walk-in shower and original deep bath. The ‘Jaipur' room charms with a black four-poster bed and garden views, while ‘Macao' and ‘Izmir' offer antique French beds (one with a Jack and Jill bathroom and the other with it's own ensuite), and thoughtful touches throughout.
