Dear guests, I am sorry to read your review, but I believe it is important to clarify a few points so that future guests have an accurate understanding of what actually happened. The size of the kitchen and the recommendation to have a car are clearly stated in the listing before booking. Likewise, the listing never states that the villa is located in the city centre. It accurately describes the amenities available nearby, including a mini market, bar, takeaway, and four restaurants, including the beach restaurant, all within walking distance. Regarding check-in, I informed you approximately one hour in advance that, due to an unexpected situation, I would not be able to be present at the agreed time. When you contacted me asking me to come and speak with you, I arrived within about 15 minutes. During our conversation, you raised several complaints that were inconsistent with the information clearly provided in the listing. For example, you claimed that the need for a car was not mentioned and that the beach was far away, when in reality it is just across the road. You also complained about the lack of hot water, even though the system was working properly and simply required waiting a few minutes for the hot water to reach the taps. During that same conversation, you also admitted although unfortunately only verbally that you had not carefully checked the property’s location before booking and that you had expected accommodation in the city centre. Despite this, I genuinely tried to help by offering several solutions to make your transportation easier, but every proposal was declined. I also provided you with the contact details of a local taxi and tour service, which you did use. I was later informed by the driver that during the service you disputed the agreed fares, attempted to set your own prices, and changed the itinerary at the last minute despite having agreed it the previous evening, creating significant operational difficulties and showing little respect towards someone who was simply doing his job. You then demanded a refund for what was ultimately your own mistake in assessing the booking and even threatened that one of your companions, who you said was a journalist, would publish a defamatory article about the property. After staying for several nights, you requested a full cancellation and refund of the entire reservation, which the booking platform rightly declined. Finally, regarding the surrounding public area, I cannot be held responsible for the cleanliness of public streets. I would also like to clarify that there are no stray dogs in the area. There is only a small colony of cats cared for by local residents, and they do not cause any disturbance to guests. I am always happy to assist my guests and resolve genuine issues whenever they depend on the property. However, I also believe it is important that reviews accurately reflect both the information clearly provided in the listing and what actually occurred during the stay, so that they are truly helpful for future travellers.
