A very good stay in a quiet, beautiful location. Lovely beaches are less than a 20-minute drive away, and a large city is 35 minutes away. It was a great location and great accommodation.

We had such a magical time in this beautiful property. Peaceful location, stunning views (watching the sun set from the balcony was a highlight) and the pool was just right for us. Everything we needed was a short 5/10 minute drive away and we were easily able to access the water park and Old Town for longer day trips. The home itself is so special, with a mix of vintage and modern furniture, pictures and art which is so up my street!

Air conditioned bedrooms were very welcome for our stay in July! The plunge pool was a fantastic way to cool off and the view/sunset from the balconies was spectacular! Parking can be slightly challenging but no issue for confident drivers with a small car.One piece of constructive feedback - some spare cupboard space to put shopping would be useful.

The biggest positive has to be the view – View was absolutely stunning. We've stayed in some wonderful, much larger three- and four-bedroom villas over the years, including several at the top of Kokkino Chorio and Plaka with spectacular sea views, and yours is certainly up there with the very best.Although the pool was small, that really wasn't an issue. In fact, I probably spent more time in it than I have in some of the much larger pools we've stayed at. It was perfect for cooling off, relaxing and enjoying that incredible view.Charming

Couple stay in July

This holiday was just what we wanted, lovely clean house with interesting art, little pool, fantastic views, local restaurant and shop within walking distance. Would highly recommend for a couple wanting to get away from it all.

Fantastic place to stay

After hectic sightseeing in Amsterdam and Athens villa was a perfect oasis of calm. It has everything you need inside and great plunge pool and views outside! Local villa owners friendly and 2 local tavernas and shop in walking distance (English speaking) . Check in and check out super easy. Owners responded quickly to any questions.

Thank you Ed & Sue for letting us stay in THomas House, We all enjoyed our stay, Had everything you could ask for even a dishwasher very spoilt. Views was amazing. Would love to return again sometime. Car is essential unless you don’t mind walking which we didn’t.

Beautiful

Really enjoyed our six weeks stay in Thomas house, everything you need is there and a nice pool to cool off, the outdoor space is great and the sunset are just amazing every evening , the small village at the back of the house Kokkino Chorio has two nice taverna and the food is really good, the small supermarket is lovely run by Georgos all within 5 minutes walk only one negative six weeks isn't long enough. Ed and Sue great to deal with Hopefully will be back.

Lovely apartment

The apartment is lovely and has everything you could need and more. The pool was small but more than big enough to cool down in and had sun loungers and an umbrella. I would more be more than happy to recommend for anyone to stay here and the hosts were excellent and even let us stay later on checkout due to a late flight. The only small problem we had was trying to find the place especially as we arrived in the dark... a sign would be really useful at the top of the hill or a pin drop in Google maps etc be sure to have a car as the walk to the towns is quite far to walk but well worth it due to the lovely apartment and stunning views.

Excellent. Fabulous views. Peaceful.

We had a lovely stay at Thomas House. A very well appointed house perfect for a couple wanting to get away for peace and quiet. Everything as described. Comfortable bed. Aircon. Interesting artwork. Lots of good restaurants nearby. We tried Ed and Sue’s favourites in Plaka (Elpis) and Almyrida (Elia & Thyme) both good. Plaka and To Yaladiko in Kokkino Chorio are walkable. The day out to the traditional Cretan country restaurant up in the hills (Ntounias aka Dounias) was fun with spectacular views on the way. Rethymno and Chania harbours have lots of restaurants to choose from. Overall we would recommend this holiday for relaxation and good food.

Lovely property with spectacular views

We had a really enjoyable stay at Thomas House. The views from the property really are superb from every angle both during the day and the lights everywhere visible at night. The pool area was a great sun trap and just the right size for cooling off in as it was really hot for June whilst we were there. We just had a few minor issues though nothing that detracted from still having an enjoyable stay. On arrival at the house the floors were not particularly clean and we had to give the bath a clean ourselves and there were hairs on the bottom. We have been used to having a mid stay clean in other properties when staying longer than a week and this would have been helpful. if not this then just a spare set of bed linen left would have been good considering we stayed 11 nights. As stated these were just several minor issues and overall we would very much recommend this lovely characterful house, and would certainly like ro stay again if we return to this area of Crete. Thank you.

Just perfect! Beautiful house, beautiful views!

We really enjoyed our holidays on Crete. The house is wonderful! We stayed 2 weeks and would have loved to stay longer. It was very clean and very good maintained. Our two children loved the pool, we two adults too. The pool was clean and in very good shape. Someone was looking after it and we hat nothing to do but enjoy. Just like a perfect holiday should be. What I really appreciated especially was that after one week a few very nice women came and cleaned the house and changed the linen and the towels. I wish someone would so that for me at home! But that is holidays for me! I had been very much prepared to do it myself there, but I needn't. Crete itself is a very beautiful island. We explored it every day. We also did an olive oil tour as recommended by our hosts. They had prepared a booklet with recommendations what to do in the area and where to eat. We followed the recommendations and were never disappointed. In the evenings we loved to sit on the terrace and watch the sunset. Well my husband and I, the children were engaged with their usual things like Instagram and so on. We had enough room for the four of us and the house is very well equipped. Your have everything you need, even a dishwasher. The washing machine was in good use, too. The clothes dried real quick in the sun. Since the weather was warm and sunny you needed a lot of changing clothes. I highly recommend the house. We all enjoyed our stay there very much and would love to come and stay there again. Thank you so much, Ed and Sue, you did everything to make our stay perfect!

Un lieu reposant à la vue magnifique

Thomas House est un superbe endroit pour passer ses vacances en Crête. Bien situé pour découvrir l'ouest de l'ile, la maison offre tout ce dont on a besoin pour le séjour. La vue est exceptionnelle et ressourçante et les couchés de soleil immanquables. La petite piscine est appréciable pour se rafraichir entre deux moments de détente sur la terrasse plein soleil. La maison est agréable, les 2 chambres bien aménagées avec une 2nde terrasse commune bien utile pour s'isoler pour des moments calmes de lecture (par ex.) Ed, le propriétaire, est toujours disponible pour répondre à nos questions et nous apporter l'aide nécessaire. Tout est mis en œuvre pour nous conseiller avant notre arrivée et pendant le séjour. Proche de La Canée, Georgioupoulis et Rethimnon, la maison propose de nombreuses ballades et découvertes. En poussant un peu plus, les magnifiques plages d'Elafonisi et du lagon de Balos restent à porter de tir. Et bonus, à 2-3 kms de la maison, la petite plage de Koutalas, enchassée entre deux zones rocheuses (façon calanque) vous attend avec son eau cristalline pour nager, plonger ou sauter depuis les rochers. Y faire du snorkelling ou de la plongée vous permettra de découvrir de multiples poissons. Bref, un lieu idéal proche de la maison pour se détendre en mer (tôt le matin ou tard le soir, car pas mal fréquentée). Prévoyez une voiture courte pour profiter du petit parking au pied de la maison, assez étroit et nécessitant de faire demi-tour pour repartir.

Vue époustouflante

Nous avons séjourné une semaine début août dans la Thomas Housse avec mon Mari et mes deux enfants. La maison est très bien équipée et propre, pour 4, elle est parfaite. Spacieuse, confortable et fonctionnelle. La décoration est originale et atypique. Les fenêtres donnent toutes sur une terrasse avec une vue époustouflante ! Mer et Montagnes et tous les soirs un coucher de soleil formidable avec des nuances de couleurs magnifiques. La clim fonctionne très bien. C'est très calme pour se reposer et bien situé pour découvrir le Crète.La supérette est à 4 min à pied et pratique des prix raisonnables. Les deux villages les plus proches sont super sympa avec de belles plages et bonnes tavernes La voiture est indispensable pour se déplacer mais il vous faudra une toute petite pour vous garer en bas de la maison car c'est une mini ruelle. La communication avec Édouard a toujours été parfaite. Propriétaire charmant, attentionné et bienveillant. Leur maison est formidable. Le seul bémol est pour la trouver. Nous sommes arrivés en soirée dans le noir malgré les photos et explications impossible de trouver en plus notre réseau mobile n'a pas fonctionné a notre arrivée donc pas de réseau ni d'internet. Un gentil couple a cherché pour nous sur Google Map et a réussi à nous emmener jusqu'à la maison. Je recommande vivement cette location et sa piscine fort agréable. Maison idéale pour une famille

La maison est parfaite pour le séjour d'une famille. Elle est bien équipée, dispose d'une salle de bain parentale et d'une douche. Il y a deux terrasses mais nous avons surtout profité de celle à l'entrée offrant un panorama incroyable. La piscine est petite mais elle permet de se rafraîchir à loisir lors des journées lecture sur les transats. La localisation est intéressante car elle permet de sillonner l'ouest de l'île : chania, Gramvoussa, Ombrolagios, Argiroupoli, Kournas, ... Par ailleurs, la communication avec Ed et Sue est parfaite. Ils répondent quasiment instantanément aux messages envoyés.

Parfait!

Tout est conforme a la description, séjour très apprécié ! Le seul bémol est pour se garer à côté de la propriété, le chemin est très étroit et le parking est très petit pour manœuvrer même avec une petite voiture. On peut se garer à 50m sans soucis donc ce n'est pas très important!

Vacances de rêve

C’est avec un immense plaisir que nous séjournons pour la seconde fois dans cette charmante maison. Nous y avons retrouvé la vue époustouflante, le confort et les équipements au top, la situation idéale et le calme reposant du village., avec en plus cette année une connection internet. Belle vue sur la baie

Appartement fonctionnel avec une belle terrasse sur la baie. Petite piscine mais bien agréable pour se rafraîchir. Le village est joli avec un magasin alimentaire et 2 tavernes dont une très bonne à la sortie du village à côté de l’atelier de recyclage de verre (10mn à pieds).

3 merveilleuses semaines de vacances

La maison est idéalement située, dans un environnement calme avec une vue de rêve sur la baie. Elle est fonctionnelle et bien équipée, rien ne manque. La piscine est très agréable. Idéal à la fois pour se reposer et partir à la découverte de cette si belle Crête. À louer sans hésitation.
