We have everything we needed for our stay. The location was fantastic and so weee the views. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is some minor things, like the bedroom furniture being too large for the room and hard to get around, and some things looking very worn/old. Overall a great stay.

Location was good with a Walmart on the next block over. Property was as described, but I agree with previous reviews about the tile in the bathroom needing attention. Overall it was a great place to stay.

Loved it!

We loved the condo itself, the view was amazing, and the location was perfect. Our only complaint about cleanliness was the floors were covered in sand when we first got there. I wasn’t worried about it though because it’s expected when you’re at the beach. Also, we figured out 1 bathroom between 5 people was a struggle but other than that our stay was perfect! 10 times out of 10 we would stay again!

Super Clean!

Nice clean condo facing the Gulf. Very roomy and comfortable. Unit is on third floor with no elevator. Keep this in mind if anyone in your party has health issues.

Great Condo!

This condo has a great view of the ocean. It was spacious and had everything we needed for our family of 4. I would stay here again if I am ever back in Galveston. Note that this condo is on the 3rd floor with no elevators and there is a $20 fee for parking.

Great space and location.

We had a great view of the ocean from the balcony which we really enjoyed. Rented this for a girls trip (just 2 of us), we wanted more space than a hotel room and this was perfect. The only down side is the 2 smaller beds are in the loft area up a spiral staircase with no bathroom, however, I figured that based on the photos. Over all it fit our needs perfectly, wish it would have been warm enough to enjoy the 2 beautiful pools.

Great location/View

Spent 5 nights here and love the location - close to everything and the amenities are very nice. Only downside was there had been maintenance working repairing the bathroom ceiling and left their mess which should have been cleaned up before our arrival - didn’t like having to sweep and mop floors as soon as we arrived. Vacasa was very quick to help us with the door code and replying about the mess the maintenance fold made.

Great experience

Check in process was horrible! Clerk at desk was rude. However, the location to the beach was great. The pool area was awesome-nice to have 2 pools to chose from. The rooms were nice but did find a few cockroaches on the balcony. Overall, we’re satisfied and would stay there again.

Great spot!

We loved the Break of Dawn for our weekend trip to the coast! The house was clean, exactly as advertised, and across the street from the beach! Many times we talked to the corner store or Walmart to grab a few things before relaxing by the water. Amazing location! The office staff was great, the pools looked inviting, and parking was no problem. The unit had everything we needed and no complaints. There were a few minor things- cracked bathroom tiles, minor musty smell, creaking bed, but nothing that would prevent us from staying there again. The kids LOVED the spiral staircase and beds in the loft and we took advantage of the balcony as much as possible. Overall, it was everything we wanted and at a great price!

Disgusting!!!

Don't give this owner any of your money. This unit was disgusting. Mold and other things on the shower curtain, mold and rust on the air vents, cracked and loose tile on the floor just to name a few things.... We have stayed at The Dawn Condos several times and love the property. Just don't stay in this unit!!!

Easter Beach Weekend

The location of the condo was great. The views were amazing. However, this condo needs some updating. I agree with the reviews I read that a deep cleaning is needed. Blinds were very dusty and lots of mildew around the vents. The carpet needs replaced. Also, the dishwasher didn’t work. The third level didn’t bother us, but I could see how it would be difficult getting your items to the 3rd floor for some folks. All in all, the place was just ok. We spent most of our time at the beach so it served its purpose.

It was ok

It took us 1 hour to get into the property because the codes they sent us did not work. After an hour of waiting outside we finally got a code that worked. When we walked in the floors were sticky and just not clean looking. For what I paid for just wasn’t it in my opinion.

Unit needs some love

View was terrific. Unit needs work. Kitchen is limited with no can opener, no hot pads, limited silverware, no blender lid, scummy shower curtain liner, poor lighting throughout. Bed terribly soft. Check in process was not good. Couldn't get in. Carpets need cleaning. Area is fun to explore. Clients should know that they need to provide all their own household essentials like toilet paper, trash bags and dishwasher tabs, etc.

Nice place with work in progress

We arrived around midnight and had trouble getting in like previous reviews stated. Passcode didn’t work. Customer service answered our phone call right away but attempt at multiple passcode changes didn’t help. Eventually we had to get the key out of the lock box and it was our only key for the duration of our stay. Great location, apartment is nice but in need of repairs. Repair and paint materials were found in the closet, so we can say that it’s work in progress.
