Loreto - Plongée sous-marine, le kayak et la pêche sportive attirent les amateurs d'aventure dans une ville historique avec des commodités modernes sur la mer de Cortez.

Loreto est un village côtier sur la mer de Cortez, et il est très fier de nombreuses revendications de la célébrité. La ville est probablement la plus fière de "La Mision Nuestra Señora de Loreto" (Mission de Notre-Dame de Lorette), qui est la première et la plus ancienne mission construite dans la Californie supérieure ou inférieure. La première mission devint le centre d'exploration des déserts et des montagnes de Baja, ainsi que de l'expansion du système de la mission. Loreto est entouré par les montagnes de Gigantes sur trois côtés, et la mer de Cortez sur le quatrième, et offre une beauté naturelle carte postale toute l'année pour les visiteurs et les touristes.

Loreto possède également la plus grande réserve marine du Mexique, le Parque Maritimo National Bahia de Loreto. Le parc englobe cinq îles protégées et offre certaines des expériences sous-marines les plus passionnantes de la péninsule de Baja. Au sud de Loreto, Nopolo est une initiative touristique à grande échelle financée initialement par le gouvernement mexicain et qui traverse actuellement une période de transition à mesure que les promoteurs changent de mains. Il a des condos, un hôtel en bord de mer, un terrain de golf, des boutiques, des courts de tennis. Encore plus au sud, la marina de Puerto Escondido possède un port abrité, des services maritimes, un restaurant, des douches, un magasin de fournitures

Amazing Vacation!

We had a wonderful stay in Loreto! We loved the resort and it was perfect for our kiddos. Beach, pool, buffets and dinner/shows each night were a big hit. We’ll be back again soon!!

Great resort for the whole family

The whole family had such a great time at the resort - beach, pool, hiking, dinner shows and access to stunning nature. Definitely will return! Of the resort restaurants we'd rank them in this order: Danzante, Casa Club, Beach club, Pool Bar, Market/buffets, Casa Mia. We did not do the all inclusive as we do not drink that much and were not on property the entire day for 3 consecutive days to make it worthwhile. Ordering a la carte you should be able to do it for 25 lunch / 40 dinner and we made breakfast in our room with supplies from the onsite market. Buffets were very expensive (50-70, drinks not included) but you get a nice show with it. The activities team are very earnest and energetic. If you book your transportation and tours directly with Wild Loreto the rates will be better than going through the resort. Blue whale tour they picked us up directly on the resort beach!

Truly...a Gem!

Just returned from a brief visit to Loreto, and the Villas Del Palmyr. Loreto is a lovely and charming small village about 6 hours from Cabo. Nice ride...good roads, safe and scenic. Stopped along the way to enjoy the amazing views of the Pacific along the lower section of the trip..... As you head north, you begin the passage thru the mountains . Reminded me of the western USA.....around Scottsdale. Pack a lunch etc...as the food options are not great en route? Lots of gas and small stores, but not much interesting dining options past Todo Santos. Checked in to the Villas Del Palmyr, a beautiful resort at Danzante Bay, and the home of one of the prettiest and most challenging golf courses in Mexico.....Danzante Bay CC. Wonderful 5 Star facility....plenty of pools, views, spas, restaurants, and some of the nicest and friendliest people we have ever encountered at a resort facility:). Jenero at the front desk, along with Orlando were a pleasure! Simple check in....our rooms were ready....and fabulous! Ocean and pool views, as well as vistas out to the Islands of Loreto! Manuel took the car to a shady spot, and we enjoyed Happy Hour! The town is a 35-40 min drive...or shuttles are available. We enjoyed a nice dinner at Mezzaluna and breakfast the next day at Mi Loreto, 2 of the best venues in town. Next day....I played the course ! Once in a lifetime experience;) I was all by myself out there.... Played the Signature 17 th ....twice! Impossible to describe the majesty of this track! Gorgeous scenic vistas, cliffs overlooking the beauty of the Sea of Cortez....and the mountains ! A must do.....for any golfer! The hotel and the staff were truly a pleasure ! Everyone we encountered from housekeeping to waitstaff we’re eager to please and genuinely interested in our happiness ;). Our rooms were beautiful and well maintained. We plan to visit again very soon, and have inquired about the real estate ownership offerings! The ride home was made memorable by a wonderful dinner in Todo Santos at Chez Oliver. Wonderful and charming French restaurant, Excellent and friendly service,and delightful French cooking! Hard to imagine this level of classic Nouvelle Cusine in this small town in Mexico.....but, we were thoroughly impressed! Only an hour from Cabo! We will return often on day trips.

Love this place, will come back

We love this place especially for the golf. The only problems we had were with check in and out and it was the property issues nothing to do with the owner, who came to our rescue and made it great.

Loved our vacation!

We had a wonderful trip to Loreto and greatly enjoyed the property we stayed at. Our property manager, Bill, was friendly, responsive and offered insight to the property; I would happily rent from him again. I suggest taking advantage of the ATV and Dezante Island tours, both were very fun.
